Abstract

Junior High School students who fall into the middle adolescence category, aged 14-17 years, start searching for their identity as they enter puberty, facing difficulties in making decisions and controlling emotions. At this age, teenagers look for a group of friends who match their interests, hobbies, and lifestyle. The 2024 Teaching Assistance Team from the State University of Malang found that this phenomenon also occurred at the UM Laboratory School, where several students had their own friendship groups, both small and large, encompassing multiple classes. These observed friendship groups had a significant impact worth researching. The aim of this research is to understand the phenomenon of friendship among students and its impact on their self- confidence. The research method used is phenomenological, combining observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that friendship impacts individual students, although differences in perspectives among subjects were also noted.

Abstract

Abstract This article aims to examine the role of the PPG policy in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and improving the quality of teacher professionalism. PPG is an educational program organized to prepare educational and non-educational undergraduate graduates to master the competencies of teachers as a whole in accordance with educational standards. Educator certificates can be obtained through professional training programs or Professional Teacher Education (PPG). In accordance with the SDGs, PPG is considered a key driver for building sustainable education through curriculum and teaching practices. The method in this article uses library research. Library study can be defined as a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording and processing research materials. The result of this study is that in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), PPG has a strategic role in improving the quality of teacher professionalism. The SDGs emphasize the importance of quality education and universal access to education. Through PPG, concrete steps can be taken to improve teachers' qualifications and competencies, and reduce disparities in access to education in various regions. Effective implementation of the PPG policy requires collaboration between the government, educational institutions and communities, and the integration of sustainable development principles in education. Thus, PPG has great potential to become a major force in achieving the SDGs and shaping a more educated, sustainable and inclusive society.

Abstract

Learning science in elementary school requires an approach that encourages students' creative thinking skills. One model that can be used is the RADEC (Read, Ask, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model. This model provides a systematic framework to develop students' creative thinking skills through a series of structured steps. In the RADEC learning model, students are asked to read the subject matter, ask challenging questions, discuss with classmates to share ideas and viewpoints, conduct experiments or direct observations, and create new solutions or products based on their understanding. Through this process, students not only understand science concepts deeply, but are also trained to think critically, analytically and creatively. By applying the RADEC learning model in science learning in elementary schools, it is expected to create an innovative generation that is able to face future challenges with strong creative thinking skills. This model provides a solid foundation for the development of students' creative potential and prepares them to become future leaders who are able to create new solutions in the world of science and technology.
