Abstract

Morality related to religious and cultural values are crucial things in every level of education, including early childhood education. Language, as an element that represents these values, is important in the daily communication process both at school and at home. The use of non-verbal language, namely the gesture of raising the middle finger, is a normalized taboo symbol that is interesting to study in order to be a reference in preventing or neutralizing this behavior. This research is based on two problems, how children aged 5-6 years understand the middle finger symbol and how they recognize it. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach involving 100 students of class B from 7 RA (Raudhatul Athfal) in Genteng

Abstract

The development of the company is undoubtedly inseparable from financial factors. The company will issue shares that investors will purchase. Investors will consider the state of the company they invest in investment activities. Fundamental analysis can assess the company's condition by calculating company ratios. The existence of fundamental analysis can help investors make decisions. Capital market movements often experience fluctuations or extreme events in the stock market that cause outliers in stock price data. Outliers in the data can be overcome by using robust regression to reduce the impact of outliers on the data. This analysis uses S and MM estimations with Tukey Bisquare weights to estimate the model. Energy sector stock closing price data will be tested for classical assumptions, including normality, homoscedasticity, autocorrelation, and multicollinearity tests. If the energy sector stock closing price data does not meet normality, detect outliers and continue estimating data using S and MM estimations. The best model to estimate the data is the MM estimation with an adjusted R-Square value of 99.86%, fulfilling the parameter significance test, namely the t-test and F-test.

Abstract

Culture Shock, or "gegar budaya," is a phenomenon that manifests in various new environments. This is no exception to what occurs at MA Al-Qodiri I Jember, where the Pendhalungan culture is practiced. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the culture shock process experienced by students from outside the region at MA Al-Qodiri I Jember. Employing a qualitative approach, researchers observed, interviewed, and documented the culture shock processes among non-local students. The analysis was conducted through condensation and then verified by validating the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The findings of the researchers indicate that language-induced culture shock, as a form of intercultural communication, can indeed pose challenges for new students. The primary obstacle faced by students from outside the region is encountering new terms or different names. However, the adaptation process, which typically takes less than a year, proves to be a viable solution for these students. Non-local students at MA Al-Qodiri primarily use Jemberan Madurese, Jemberan Javanese, or Jemberan Pendhalungan. The culture shock experienced by these students is not excessively high, resulting in a higher level of social adjustment.

Abstract

Abstract Efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning certainly need to involve and prepare students as prospective mathematics teachers. In addition to competent mastery of material, prospective teacher students must be equipped with the ability to provide interactive mathematics learning between teachers and students through technological advances. The aim of this research is to analyze the responses of prospective mathematics teachers to the use of GeoGebra as a mathematics learning medium. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods. Of the 20 prospective teacher students who were given a questionnaire, 3 were then randomly selected for in-depth interviews. The research results show that more than 95% of prospective teacher students realize that GeoGebra can be a solution or tool in visualizing mathematical concepts. Starting from basic mathematics concepts to upper intermediate level can be visualized with GeoGebra. So that students will more easily understand mathematical concepts and can improve the mathematics learning process through interactive media assisted by GeoGebra.

Abstract

This article is half of my last research ideas, on our long term anexiety of Pesantren and Tolerance Values. This research arose from several facts which indicated that Islamic College had deep cultural values to accept social plurality as their system of beliefs. Even if, not all Islamic Colleges could implement them. This article, specially, will discribe what PP. Tebuireng, Jombang, implemented to make their students, become tolerance people. Based on their five pillars, foundations or Islamic Colleges identity. The article also will introduce what the writer call as “Tolerance Exhibition”, which is only be one of specific identity in its teritory. Like a scientific writing, phenomenological and rational choices theory are become theoritical framework to explain how this founding can be implemented generally in each Islamic College. In the end, this paper will conclude that PP. Tebuireng may become a role model to implement tolerance education, even institutionally or practically by its teachers and stakeholders.
