Abstract

Islamic Religious Education has a strategic role in shaping the character of students who are not only religious, but also inclusive in facing the realities of a multicultural society. The diversity of religions, cultures, and backgrounds of the people in Indonesia requires Islamic Religious Education to provide guidance on the values of tolerance, moderation, and respect for differences, especially in the field of education. This study aims to understand the role of Islamic Religious Education in shaping inclusive character through a phenomenological approach. The research was conducted in the context of Islamic religious education in multicultural communities in Indonesia, emphasizing the meaning of the experience of inclusivity values in the practice of Islami Religious Education. The phenomenological approach was used to explore the meaning of subjective experiences related to the internalization of the values of justice, compassion, empathy, and social responsibility. The results of the analysis show that Islamic Religious Education is understood not only as a process of imparting religious knowledge, but as a space for the formation of human consciousness that encourages openness, mutual respect, and harmonious coexistence. These findings confirm that Islamic Religious Education plays an important role as an instrument for inclusive character building and strengthening social cohesion in Indonesia's multicultural society.

Abstract

This paper investigates how Islamic social media preaching articulates gender through Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). Islamic short-form videos shape the understanding of gender, authority, and moral responsibility among the Muslim audience. Therefore, the role of communication in religion on social media, particularly Instagram and YouTube, is vital in the formation of audience perceptions. I examine the prevailing sermons pertaining to family ethics and relations on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts for 2024 - 2025. This type of preaching reproduces the dominant and prevailing gender moral authorities that place men in the position of moral guardians and women as subjects of moral guardianship within the discourse. There is some limited discourse that challenges the dominant gender discourse, and that is reflexive. The nature of preaching enables the authority of religion and gender to be flexible in its context. This research climbs the digital religion and gender scholarship ladder to the place where online religious preaching transcends to being a gender moral authority as well. The study does not take the religious digital preaching as purely educational, as it provides a discursive space where ideologies on gender are articulated and contested.

Abstract

Sustainable development requires a development framework that balances economic growth, social justice, inclusiveness, and long-term societal welfare. In this context, Islamic social finance, encompassing zakat and waqf, offers a normative and institutional mechanism based on the principles of redistribution and social responsibility. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic social finance as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable development through the integration of zakat and waqf within the Islamic economic system. This study uses an empirical approach by analyzing the contribution of zakat and waqf instruments to poverty alleviation and community economic empowerment. Data were obtained from institutional reports and community economic indicators, then analyzed descriptively and analytically. The results show that effective and integrated management of zakat and waqf can increase community income, strengthen community-based economic activities, and reduce poverty levels. This study concludes that Islamic social finance functions not only as a philanthropic instrument but also as a sustainable development model that supports inclusive economic growth and social transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of deep learning–based Islamic Cultural History (SKI) instruction integrated with a Love-Based Curriculum (LBC) in teaching the Mughal Empire at MA Ma’arif Al-Ishlah Bungkal. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved Islamic Cultural History teachers, students, and the school principal as key informants. Data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that teachers conceptualize deep learning as meaningful instruction that emphasizes critical thinking and moral reflection, which is integrated with love-based values to foster a warm and humanistic classroom climate. The instructional modules were designed to include reflective activities, historical figure analysis, in-depth discussions, and the integration of Qur’anic verses and hadith. Learning activities were conducted interactively and focused on value internalization rather than rote memorization. Students demonstrated increased learning motivation, confidence in expressing opinions, empathy, and the ability to comprehend the moral values embedded in historical narratives. Institutional support further strengthened the implementation of this love-based, values-oriented learning approach. The study concludes that the integration of deep learning and a Love-Based Curriculum is effective in character formation through Islamic Cultural History instruction and has strong potential for application to other subject areas within the madrasah curriculum.

Abstract

The development of social media-based e-commerce platforms, such as TikTok Shop, encourages business actors to focus not only on marketing strategies but also on the implementation of business ethics, particularly Islamic business ethics. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic business ethics values, including honesty, fairness, responsibility, transparency, and adherence to sharia principles, on consumer loyalty on the TikTok Shop platform. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 61 respondents, students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas PGRI Wiranegara who actively shop on TikTok Shop. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software version 4.0. The results showed that honesty, responsibility, and transparency had a positive and significant effect on consumer loyalty. Meanwhile, fairness and adherence to sharia principles had a positive but insignificant effect on consumer loyalty. These findings indicate that not all dimensions of Islamic business ethics have the same level of influence, but in general, the implementation of Islamic business ethics remains important in building and increasing consumer loyalty on digital platforms.

Abstract

Empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Klatakan Village is a strategic priority, considering the limited access to information and the low level of understanding among business actors regarding the use of digital marketing technologies. Through the Village Community Empowerment–Based Service Program (PBPMD), a digital marketing education initiative was implemented using an applicative and participatory approach grounded in the Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology. The program consisted of several stages, including needs assessment, program socialization, collaborative planning, digital marketing training, and continuous monitoring and evaluation. The training activities were conducted at the Klatakan Village Hall and involved 27 MSME actors from the food processing and handicraft sectors. Initial observations and field interviews indicated a strong need to enhance digital competencies as a strategy to strengthen business competitiveness. The training was delivered through lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice in producing short promotional videos for social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Reels, as well as managing business accounts through WhatsApp Business and other social media channels. The evaluation results demonstrated an improvement in participants’ digital skills and a proactive response in creating more engaging and communicative visual promotional content. This program highlights that a participatory approach effectively encourages active community involvement and reinforces MSME self-reliance. Overall, the digital marketing education initiative contributed significantly to strengthening the capacity of MSME actors and holds strong potential to support the sustainable development of the local economy in Klatakan Village.

Abstract

The stability of Islamic stock prices amid market volatility is a crucial issue for JII/ISSI investors. This study examines the effect of Sharia-compliant ESG scores on stock crash risk, its effectiveness across time periods, and contribution to a sustainable Islamic economy. The study's objectives are: (1) to examine the negative relationship between Sharia ESG and crash risk, (2) to compare effectiveness pre-pandemic (2017-2019), pandemic (2020-2021), and post-pandemic (2022-2025), and (3) to evaluate its contribution to an Islamic economic model. This study uses a fixed effects panel regression on 37 JII/ISSI issuers (326 observations, 2017-2025), with NCSKEW as a proxy for crash risk, Sharia ESG from IDX ESG Leaders, controlled for SIZE and ROA. The analysis was conducted using EViews 12 after Excel data processing. The results show that Sharia ESG has a significant negative effect (β=-0.0043, p=0.001), reducing crash risk by 4.3% per 10 score points. Its effectiveness was strongest during the pandemic (β=-0.0076, p=0.000), weakening pre-pandemic. The model explains 44.1% of the variation in crash risk (R²=44.1%, F=29.12), supporting a sustainable Islamic economy through the stability of the Islamic capital market.

Abstract

This paper examines the concept of self-regulated learning strategies and elucidates the fundamental principles underlying their implementation by referring to three self-regulation models: Pintrich's Four-Phase Model, Winne and Hadwin's Information Processing Model, and Zimmerman's Social Cognitive Model. These models are subsequently integrated into an Islamic educational perspective, particularly al-Ghazali's thought and Quranic tadabbur strategies within the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) framework.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance Islamic family law literacy and student leadership skills at Pondok Pesantren Al Falah, Situbondo, through a Participatory Action Research approach. The program includes learning that connects classical fiqh with Indonesian positive law, as well as training in deliberation simulations, public speaking, and conflict management. Among 30 participants, evaluation results indicate significant improvement: the average knowledge score increased from 58.2 to 78.5, the integration of fiqh-positive law rose from 52.0 to 74.3, and the average attitude score improved from 3.6 to 4.2 (on a 1-5 scale). Participation was recorded as high, with 93% attendance, 80% of participants actively engaged in each session, and an observational involvement score of 4.1/5. Findings demonstrate that the participatory approach effectively broadens students’ legal perspectives, strengthens leadership skills, and fosters the internalization of moderate attitudes and legal awareness. It is recommended to strengthen comparative fiqh–positive law materials in future activities, provide facilitator training, and conduct longitudinal evaluations to measure long-term impact.
