Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, partisipasi, dan perilaku masyarakat dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan serta mengurangi sampah rumah tangga di Desa Silalahi 1 melalui pendekatan partisipatif oleh mahasiswa KPPM. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi awal, perencanaan partisipatif bersama masyarakat, penyuluhan kebersihan lingkungan, kegiatan gotong royong, serta evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner, catatan partisipasi, dan checklist kebersihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat dari sekitar 45% menjadi 80%, serta peningkatan partisipasi warga dalam kegiatan kebersihan dari sekitar 30 menjadi ±50 orang. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan perilaku yang ditandai dengan berkurangnya kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan dan mulai diterapkannya pengelolaan sampah sederhana di tingkat rumah tangga. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif efektif dalam mendorong keterlibatan masyarakat dan perubahan perilaku menuju lingkungan yang lebih bersih. Secara praktis, model ini dapat dijadikan sebagai strategi pengelolaan kebersihan lingkungan berbasis masyarakat yang berpotensi direplikasi di desa lain.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya kasus perundungan di satuan pendidikan Indonesia dan rendahnya kesadaran siswa di UPT SD Negeri 034796 Silalahi, Kabupaten Dairi. Tujuan utamanya adalah meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pengertian, jenis, dampak, pencegahan, dan penanganan perundungan untuk membangun lingkungan sekolah aman dan ramah anak. Kegiatan unik ini membedakan diri dari program konvensional melalui pendekatan edukasi partisipatif yang mengintegrasikan pemaparan PowerPoint interaktif, bernyanyi lagu anti-perundungan, serta sesi berbagi pengalaman lisan-tertulis, dilaksanakan pada 24 Februari 2026 melibatkan 50 siswa kelas II dan V.  Hasil terukur menunjukkan efektivitas metode: pemahaman siswa meningkat 75% berdasarkan pre-post test (dari 28% menjadi 82% siswa paham konsep kunci), dengan partisipasi 100% dalam sesi interaktif. Dari 16 cerita pengalaman yang terkumpul, teridentifikasi perundungan verbal (81,25%), fisik (68,75%), sosial (50%), serta kasus pemerasan oleh kakak kelas; 62,5% pelaku menyatakan penyesalan pasca-kegiatan. Rekomendasi mencakup program pencegahan berkelanjutan, kotak aduan, pelatihan guru, serta keterlibatan orang tua dan pemangku kebijakan. Implikasi praktisnya, model ini dapat direplikasi di sekolah pedesaan lain untuk deteksi dini perundungan melalui cerita siswa.

Abstract

Infrastruktur jalan memegang peranan penting dalam mendukung pembangunan pedesaan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Desa Silalahi I, yang terletak di Kabupaten Dairi dekat Danau Toba, memiliki potensi ekonomi di bidang pertanian, perikanan, dan pariwisata. Namun, adanya lubang di beberapa ruas jalan telah mengganggu mobilitas masyarakat dan kegiatan ekonomi sehari-hari. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (KPPM) ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi jalan yang rusak, menganalisis faktor-faktor utama penyebab kerusakan, dan meneliti dampak sosial-ekonominya terhadap masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan penduduk, dan dokumentasi dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan masyarakat setempat. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan jalan terutama disebabkan oleh intensitas curah hujan yang tinggi, sistem drainase yang tidak memadai, beban kendaraan yang berat, dan kurangnya pemeliharaan rutin. Kondisi-kondisi ini memengaruhi kegiatan ekonomi, keselamatan transportasi, akses ke pendidikan, dan interaksi sosial lainnya di dalam masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, kolaborasi antara pemerintah desa, masyarakat setempat, dan pemangku kepentingan terkait diperlukan untuk menerapkan strategi perbaikan dan pemeliharaan jalan yang berkelanjutan guna mendukung pembangunan lokal dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Housewives are the primary gatekeepers in the family, determining the quality of daily nutritional intake. It is necessary to improve mothers' knowledge and skills in preparing nutritious food. The purpose of community service is to increase mothers' knowledge to improve the quality of daily family nutritional intake based on local foods. The PKM implementation method consists of a pretest and posttest, a lecture on healthy food, and training in making pumpkin noodles and butterfly pea flower noodles. PKM results showed that during the posttest, participants were able to answer 9 out of 10 questions correctly. Meanwhile, during the pretest, participants did not answer any questions correctly. PKM participants were able to practice how to make wet pumpkin noodles and wet butterfly pea flower noodles.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the English literacy of 14 grade V students of SDN Lidah Wetan IV Surabaya through bilingual storybook response writing training. This two-week program consists of three main stages: bilingual comic reading mentoring, book response writing training (one day), and guided writing practice. The media used is a bilingual picture story book by students. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test, observation sheets, and simple assessment rubrics. The results showed that students' understanding of bilingual stories increased from 45% to 95%, and the ability to write simple responses in English increased from 20% to 75%. Students are able to write opinions, impressions of characters, and moral reflections, as shown in the writing examples before and after the training. The program produces a compilation of student writing (currently still in the process of being curated) and strengthens literacy culture through interactive, reflective, and student-centered learning. This activity contributes to the practice of English literacy in primary education by utilizing bilingual storybooks as a creative learning medium, as well as supporting SDG 4: Quality Education.

Abstract

This mentoring activity aims to strengthen the capacity of scientific journal managers at Institut Agama Islam DDI Polewali Mandar, STIBA Makassar, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam DDI Makassar and Universitas Islam Ahmad Dahlan (UIAD) Sinjai in understanding and implementing the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) standards. The mentoring program is carried out in stages through identifying the initial conditions of the journal, evaluating editorial governance, analyzing the quality of article substance, and training and practice in journal management based on Open Journal Systems (OJS). The evaluation results show that most partner journals face relatively similar obstacles, including suboptimal documentation of editorial policies and publication ethics, weak implementation of peer review, limited diversity of editors and reviewers, low quality of article readability, and inconsistent publication schedules. Further mentoring is directed at strengthening ARJUNA's literacy through the implementation of journal quality improvement strategies that adhere to best practices for SINTA 2-accredited journals. These strategies include developing more transparent and standardized journal policies, optimizing editor and reviewer functions, implementing a systematic and documented editorial process, improving article quality through stricter manuscript selection, and refining journal metadata and presentation. These activities have positive implications not only for the technical and administrative aspects of journal management but also for shifting the governance paradigm toward a more strategic, sustainable, and quality-oriented system. Therefore, this mentoring is a crucial part of the institutional learning process in preparing partner journals to improve their accreditation rankings toward SINTA 2.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve teachers’ digital competencies and optimize the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in elementary school learning in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara. The program was implemented in four elementary schools using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach through several stages, namely problem identification, preparation of training materials, workshop-based training, mentoring, monitoring, and program evaluation. The training focused on the use of digital learning applications such as Quizizz, Wordwall, Canva, YouTube, and ChatGPT to support interactive and adaptive learning. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ digital competencies. Quantitative evaluation indicated that the average participant competency score increased from 56% before the program to 84% after the training, with an improvement rate of 28%. In addition, 75% of participants were able to independently implement digital learning media in classroom activities, while 87% of participants expressed positive satisfaction with the program. Teachers also demonstrated increased confidence in using technology to design interactive learning activities and support students with diverse learning needs. Despite these positive outcomes, several challenges were identified, including limited internet access, unequal availability of digital devices, and the need for continuous mentoring. Overall, the program contributed positively to strengthening digital literacy, improving the quality of technology-based learning, and encouraging the development of more inclusive digital learning practices in elementary schools in Kupang City
