Abstract

Abstract

Amidst the challenges of global climate change and increasing demands for sustainability, companies are expected to focus not only on financial aspects but also on non-financial aspects such as implementing environmentally and socially responsible business practices to support the assessment of corporate value in the eyes of investors. This study aims to analyze the impact of green investments and corporate social responsibility (CSR) on corporate value, as well as to test the role of financial performance as a mediating variable in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019-2023. The research sample included 45 energy sector companies, but only nine companies met the criteria. The results revealed that green investments and CSR did not have a significant impact on corporate value, and green investments also did not affect financial performance. However, CSR was found to have a significant influence on financial performance. On the other hand, financial performance had no significant impact on corporate value. It did not act as a mediator in the relationship between green investment, CSR, and corporate value. These findings suggest that while CSR can improve financial performance, it is insufficient to increase corporate value without additional supporting factors directly. This study suggests that companies, particularly those in the energy sector, should prioritize environmental and social considerations in their operations. For green investments to support the company's value, companies must demonstrate measurable long-term benefits and align their sustainability efforts with stakeholder expectations. Furthermore, investors consider non-financial factors such as the implementation of tangible environmental performance and transparent CSR practices, thereby encouraging companies to adopt sustainability not only as a regulatory obligation but also as a strategic asset.

Abstract

The implementation of higher education evaluation in Indonesia is closely related to the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). Several previous studies that highlighted the implementation of SPMI in higher education often encountered problems, including the lack of relevance of the education process to stakeholder needs or the lack of availability of human resources, especially auditors to support SPMI, but these studies were less specific in highlighting academic SOPs as part of the managerial strategy for developing SOPs in higher education. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate and see the strategy for developing academic SOPs at STIE Balikpapan by referring to the Determination of the Implementation of Evaluation and Improvement Control (PPEPP). The form of research conducted was qualitative with a descriptive approach through a case study design. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that the implementation of academic SOPs at STIE Balikpapan has generally been implemented, and has been socialized using internal media, monitoring of academic SOPs has been running but needs to be carried out in a planned, structured and specific manner, evaluation of academic SOPs is carried out by the internal quality assurance unit in the form of audits per semester, but has not been carried out comprehensively in all fields or work units in the academic scope. The academic SOP development strategy model implemented at STIE Balikpapan has been running, but has not fully referred to the existing PPEPP standards, the development strategy still focuses on certain SOPs, namely the curriculum, and is still flexible, namely adjusting to needs that are considered urgent.

Abstract

The use of social media continues to increase, followed by increasingly prohibitions on entrepreneurs using this media to market their business. On the other hand, this results in increasingly fierce competition, where marketers need to pay attention to effective marketing strategies to encourage special features or characteristics that can make consumers interested in buying products in their stores, as well as to maintain consumer loyalty. This research aims to analyze the influence of social media content, website content on repurchase intentions through E-WOM mediation and interactivity on students in choosing coffee drinks. The research approach used is quantitative. Data collection was obtained through distributing surveys to 300 research respondents of college students in Batam City. Data were analyzed using SMART-PLS software to carry out descriptive statistical analysis, structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, and hypothesis testing to test the truth of the research hypothesis. The research findings concluded that social media content and website content play a significant role in influencing E-WOM as both show statistically significant effects. Furthermore, only social media content has a significant influence on interactivity, while website content does not demonstrate a notable impact on this variable. In addition, both E-WOM and interactivity significantly affect repurchase intention. E-WOM is found to significantly mediate the relationship between both social media content and website content on repurchase intention. On the other hand, interactivity mediates the relationship between social media content and repurchase intention

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing students' decisions to pursue entrepreneurship, with a focus on students of the Entrepreneurship Study Program at ITBM Polman. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and quantitative instruments administered to 30 randomly selected respondents. The findings indicate four primary factors that influence entrepreneurial decision-making: economic and business opportunities (15.93%), education (15.76%), social environment (15.7%), and personality traits (15.36%). Economic motives and the availability of business opportunities emerged as the most dominant drivers, followed by educational and social support factors that shape students’ entrepreneurial mindset and motivation. Although personality factors contributed the least, they play a critical role in fostering confidence and resilience in entrepreneurial activities. These findings suggest that students’ decisions to engage in entrepreneurship are the result of a complex interaction between internal and external factors. Therefore, entrepreneurship education strategies should adopt a comprehensive, experience-based approach supported by a socially conducive environment.
