Abstract

This paper examined the widespread usage of social media can determine student academic performance. The purposes of this research are first to analyze the antecedent of interaction with friends, interaction with lecturers, and engagement in collaborative learning using social media. Second is to know the impact of these variables on student academic performance in the education institution of Batam city. The sampling method used is nonprobability sampling with accidental techniques. The sample is 402 respondents who were taken based on the Slovin formula. Respondents are students from 5 education institutions. Multiple regression and simple regression are used for data processing because the research model has a mediating variable thus the regression is done twice, and then the mediation test is conducted by Baron & Kenny method. The results indicated that the variables of interaction with friends and interaction with lecturers were not significant to the dependence, while the variables of engagement and collaboration learning were significantly positive towards students' academic performance. The results of mediation test were not accepted because there were insignificant variables from the results of the regression process. Artikel ini membahas maraknya penggunaan media sosial yang dapat menentukan prestasi akademik siswa. Bertujuan yang pertama untuk menganalisis pengaruh interaksi dengan teman, interaksi dengan dosen, dan keterlibatan terhadap kolaborasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media sosial. Kedua untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel-variabel tersebut pada prestasi akademik mahasiswa pada perguruan tinggi di Kota Batam. Metode sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 402 responden yang diambil berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Responden merupakan mahasiswa di 5 perguruan tinggi di Kota Batam. Regresi berganda dan regresi sederhana digunakan dalam pengolahan data karena model penelitian memiliki variabel mediasi sehingga regresi dilakukan dua kali, kemudian dilakukan uji mediasi menggunakan metode Baron & Kenny. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa variabel interaksi dengan teman dan interaksi dengan dosen tidak signifikan terhadap dependen, sedangkan variabel keterlibatan serta kolaborasi pembelajaran signifikan positif terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Hasil uji mediasi tidak diterima karena terdapat variabel yang tidak signifikan dari hasil proses regresi.

Abstract

Seiring berjalannya waktu, peningkatan kasus yang disebabkan oleh virus covid-19 di Indonesia menjadi semakin tinggi sehingga menyebabkan korban jiwa setiap harinya. Virus Covid-19 adalah virus yang menyebabkan infeksi saluran pernafasan yang pada awal mulanya dapat memberikan gejala ringan hingga berat. Virus ini awalnya dideteksi pertama kali di Kota Wuhan, Negara Cina, pada Desember 2019 lalu. .Maka dari itu, pemerintah Indonesia akhirnya menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang menjadi suatu peraturan wajib bagi rakyatnya untuk menaatinya saat berpergian atau saat berada di tempat yang ramai. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah menerapkan protokol kesehatan ini untuk menjadi kewajiban rakyatnya untuk menaatinya saat berpergian atau saat berada di tempat yang ramai. Walaupun begitu, masyarakat tetap disarankan untuk tidak berpergian ke tempat ramai jika tidak diperlukan. Penerapan protokol kesehatan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya penyebaran virus covid-19 yang dapat menular melalui udara sekitar orang-orang yang dinyatakan positif virus covid-19. Tetapi walaupun protokol kesehatan sudah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah, masih terdapat banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang tidak mematuhi protokol tersebut karena tidak adanya penjagaan yang ketat dari aparat pemerintahan. Sehingga kelompok kami melakukan implementasi ini terhadap salah satu lapangan badminton yang berlokasi di Bintan karena menurut pengakuan dari pengurus lapangan tersebut, bahwa pengunjung yang berkunjung untuk menyewa lapangan badminton tersebut masih banyak yang tidak mematuhi protokol yang sudah ditetapkan pemerintah. Jadi, kelompok kami bertujuan untuk melakukan implementasi dengan media cetak berupa brosur untuk ditempelkan di sekitar lapangan tersebut agar dapat dibaca oleh para pengunjung sehingga para pembaca dapat menyadari bahwa protocol kesehatan sangatlah penting untuk mencegah virus Covid-19 ini

Abstract

Pemakaian narkoba hingga saat ini semakin memprihatinkan, kemajuan teknologi disinyalir sebagai salah satu faktor penyebaran barang terlarang ini. Para pecandu narkoba pada umumnya adalah anak yang masih dalam usia produktif, yaitu anak remaja yang berusia antara 11 sampai 19 tahun. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah minimnya pengetahuan anak-anak usia produktif terkait informasi obat-obatan terlarang. Sebagian besar pecandu narkoba ini adalah akibat dari ingin melihat langsung, mencoba dan berakhir ketergantungan, dengan alasan ingin terlihat keren, dewasa, kuat dan sebagai bukti kesolidaritas antar teman. Abstract

In recent years, the use of environmentally friendly straws has become a lifestyle trend, one of which is stainless steel straws which are the most popular new innovations today with the advantages of being used multiple times and environmentally friendly functions. Along with the development of technology, new innovations in environmentally friendly straw materials have emerged, such as paper, glass, metal, ice, and cake materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between attitude towards green products, green perceived value, green perceived risk, green trust and green purchase intentions in Batam City. This research method is a comparative causal research. The object of this research is environmentally friendly straws, i.e. stainless steel, bamboo, paper, glass, and silicone. Data collected using a questionnaire distributed to 231 respondents with the consideration that male and female respondents who have used environmentally friendly straws in Batam used the accidental sampling method. SEM-PLS 3.0 is applied for data processing. Based on the results of the study, attitude towards green products provides an important role for green purchase intentions, as well as green perceived value and green trust. Meanwhile, green perceived risk has a negative effect on green purchase intentions.

Abstract

Salah satu bentuk kekerasan dalam dunia Pendidikan adalah perundungan (bullying). Bullying adalah suatu bentuk penindasan yang dilakukan secara sengaja oleh satu orang atau kelompok yang lebih kuat. Dari data yang didapatkan, dikatakan sebanyak 40% anak-anak di Indonesia meninggal dengan cara bunuh diri akibat tidak kuat terhadap perundingan yang terjadi. Dimana 38,41% mengaku pernah menjadi pelaku tindakan perundungan siber, sedangkan 45,35% mengaku pernah menjadi korban. Tingginya persentase siswa yang meninggal karena perundungan khususnya di jenjang sekolah menengah, maka kegiatan yang dilakukan ini untuk memberikan edukasi kepada para siswa mengenai bullying. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode angket dan metode studi pustaka. Responden yang mengisi angket adalah siswa kelas 10 SMA K Yos Sudarso Batam. Sedangkan metode studi pustaka menggunakan berbagai sumber seperti dari jurnal penelitian, buku, media massa, dan internet. Keluaran dari program ini adalah adanya kesadaran dari semua siswa akan bahaya dan dampak bullying, mengajarkan semua siswa bagaimana cara menghadapi dan membantu korban bullying, dan melatih para siswa sedari awal untuk tidak melakukan bullying.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang menentukan minat beli penduduk Kota Batam khususnya anak muda (Generasi Z) dengan rentang usia 10-25 tahun. Penelitian ini mengindikasi hubungan sebab akibat antara variabel independen yang terdiri dari perceived quality, brand awareness, online communities, E-wom dan brand association, dengan brand trust sebagai variabel intervening. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengguna produk skincare yang pernah melakukan pembelian melalui e-commerce dari kategori produk seperti facial wash, moisturizer, toner, serum, essence, eye cream, sheet mask, sunscreen yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan hasil riset zap clinic. Penulis menggunakan metode nonprobability sampling dimana orang-orang dengan kriteria tertentu yang dapat dijadikan sampel dan diobservasi. Data yang terkumpul diuji dengan perangkat lunak Partial Least Square (PLS) yang memperlihatkan hubungan signifikan dan tidak signifikan dari variabel-variabel yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara langsung brand association dan perceived quality berpengaruh signifikan terhadap brand trust sebagai variabel mediasi, dengan brand awareness, e-wom, dan online communities tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Brand association, brand trust, dan e-wom berpengaruh langsung terhadap purchase intention sebagai variabel dependen, dengan brand association dan perceived qualitymemiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap purchase intention dengan brand trust sebagai mediasi, serta brand awareness, e-wom, online communities tidak berpengaruh terhadap purchase intention dengan dimediasi brand trust. Kata Kunci: Brand association, brand awareness, brand trust, EWOM, online communities, perceived quality, purchase intention, gen z, jenis produk skincare.

Abstract

The research aims at the role of market orientation, learning orientation, strategic agility, strategic planning, and customer relationships, with innovation as a mediating variable. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The data in this study will be tested with several stages of testing, namely descriptive statistical tests, data quality tests, model evaluation tests, varience inflation factor tests, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that a) market orientation towards innovation had a statistical T value of 0.092<1.96 and a P value of 0.927>0.05; b) learning orientation towards innovation has a T statistic value of 4.228> 1.96 and a P value of 0.000 <0.05; c) strategic agility towards innovation has a statistical T value of 1.328<1.96 and a P value of 0.167>0.05; d) strategic planning for innovation has a statistical T value of 1.740<1.96 and a P value of 0.460>0.05; e) customer relationship to innovation has a T statistic value of 8.315> 1.96 and a P value of 0.000 <0.05; f) innovation on firm performance has a T statistic value of 8.315> 1.96 and a P value of 0.000 <0.05; g) market orientation towards firm performance has a statistical T value of 0.090<1.96 and a P value of 0.929>0.05; h) learning orientation towards firm performance has a statistical T value of 3.861> 1.96 and a P value of 0.000 <0.05; i) strategic agility on firm performance has a statistical T value of 1.454<1.96 and a P value of 0.147>0.05; j) strategic planning for firm performance has a statistical T value of 0.784<1.96 and a P value of 0.455>0.05; k) customer relationship to firm performance has a T statistic value of 5.791> 1.96 and a P value of 0.000 <0.05. In conclusion, learning orientation and customer relationship have a significant positive effect on innovation. Meanwhile, market orientation, strategic agility, and strategic planning do not have a significant positive effect on innovation. Innovation has a significant positive effect on firm performance. Learning orientation and customer relationship have a significant positive effect on firm performance. Meanwhile, market orientation, strategic agility, and strategic planning do not have a significant positive effect on firm performance. Abstract

Researcher conducted this research to find out whether the halal label or halal certification affected the buying interest of Muslim communities in Batam. The independent variables in the research were Subjective Norm and Religiosity. The mediating variable in the research conducted was Attitude. Meanwhile, the dependent variable in this study was the Purchase Intention. The samples in this research were Muslim communities in the city of Batam who often consumed halal food. The data of this research were 389 samples. However, 123 data did not qualify, and 266 data could be proceeded by researcher. This research was conducted with a testing process using the Smart PLS application. After conducting this research, the result showed that Religiosity had a positive effect on Purchase Intention, Subjective Norm had a positive effect on Purchase Intention, Attitude had a positive effect as a mediating variable Subjective Norm and Purchase Intention, Attitude had a positive effect as a mediating variable Religiosity and Purchase Intention.

Abstract

This activity aims to help solve problems with Pecel Lele Pak Eko. The lack of knowledge of business owners about the promotion mix results in a lack of income for business owners. Therefore the authors designed a marketing system in the form of a promotion mix to further introduce this business to a wider range by relying on advertisements through social media and designing promotions to attract customers and potential customers. The writing and practical work activities were carried out by the author from September to December 2022. As for the method used by the author to obtain partner data, by observing and interviewing. Judging from the problems found by the author, there is a completion stage given to the Pecel Lele Pak Eko business owner so that the problem can be resolved. Several promotional mix variables used by the author consist of advertising, direct marketing, and sales promotion. The solutions provided by the author include making banners, electronic posters, advertising on social media, and bundle packages. The result of the implementation of the system that has been designed is the emergence of promotional activities that have not previously been carried out by Pecel Lele Pak Eko and the effect of increasing sales.

Abstract

Promotion can be done in various ways, one of which is using digital or non-digital media, every UMKM competes to find consumers by doing the right promotion. Mie Residivis have food products with spicy flavors that are already doing quite a promotion, but the promotion itself has not been able to make the products dominate the market. The purpose of the study was to measure the extent of influence in terms of reach, engagement, reaction, analyzing the effectiveness of ads on Instagram Stories, Facebook posts, brochures, and banners. The implementation of the promotion mix strategy can provide an overview of the Mie Residivis on how to promote effectively in marketing. The results of implementing this new strategy indicate that there is a significant increase in the number of visitors/buyers.
