Abstract

This research investigates how the performance of PT Patco Elektronik Teknologi employees is influenced by leadership, training and work motivation. The survey used was a questionnaire distributed to employees. The results of the analysis show that good leadership improves employee performance because an inspirational leader can motivate the team to achieve common goals. In addition, systematic and relevant training improves employee skills and knowledge, which results in increased productivity. Apart from that, work motivation is also proven to have an effect, because motivated employees show better performance. The results show that good leadership, appropriate training programs, and high motivation are important components in improving employee performance. PT Patco Elektronik Teknologi management must create ongoing leadership and training programs to improve performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of material distribution in a construction company using the North West Corner (NWC) method. As one of the methods in linear programming, NWC is used to solve transportation problems with a simple initial approach. The research was conducted by collecting distribution data from three main warehouses to four different project locations, including supply capacity and demand. The analysis results show that the NWC method provides a quick and reasonably efficient initial solution in determining material distribution patterns with minimum transportation costs. Although this initial solution is not yet optimal, the NWC method offers valuable insights for further evaluation. The study also identifies distribution challenges such as imbalanced warehouse capacity, distances between locations, and fluctuating demand. To improve efficiency, recommendations are proposed through further analysis using optimization methods such as the Stepping Stone or Modi method. This study is expected to assist construction companies in planning more effective distributions to support operational sustainability. The implementation of this method can also be applied in other sectors with similar distribution characteristics.

Abstract

Distribution is a crucial component of a company’s operations that significantly impacts total costs. PT Ngadi Makmur, a company engaged in fertilizer distribution, faces challenges in optimizing distribution costs to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. This study aims to optimize fertilizer distribution costs using the North West Corner (NWC) transportation method. The method is chosen for its simplicity in providing an efficient initial solution for distribution problems. The research utilizes fertilizer distribution data from PT Ngadi Makmur, including transportation costs, shipment quantities, and demand at each destination. The analysis is conducted by applying the NWC method to obtain an initial solution, further refined using the stepping stone method to achieve optimal results. The findings reveal that the NWC method provides an initial solution close to optimal, resulting in a 12% reduction in distribution costs compared to the company’s previous traditional methods. This optimization not only reduces operational expenses but also enhances the speed and accuracy of deliveries. The study recommends implementing other, more advanced transportation methods, such as the Vogel method, for further development. Through this optimization, PT Ngadi Makmur can improve efficiency and support sustainable business practices in the competitive fertilizer market.

Abstract

TB Nur Barokah, as one of the main entities in the manufacturing sector, faces significant challenges in the form of high distribution costs due to inefficiencies in supply chain management. This study aims to develop a distribution optimization strategy through the application of transportation methods based on operations research. Approaches used include the North West Corner (NWC), Least Cost (LC), and Vogel's Approximation Method (VAM) to produce an efficient initial solution. Furthermore, the Stepping Stone and MODI methods are applied to ensure that an optimal solution is achieved. The results revealed that the systematic application of transportation methods was able to reduce distribution costs by 30%, increase delivery time efficiency by 20%, and contribute to increased customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the distribution of goods from three warehouses to three branches (Lamongan, Madura, and Surabaya) at UMKM Rejeki Lumintu by utilizing the transportation method. The objective is to minimize transportation costs while ensuring demand fulfillment at each branch. Ensuring the minimum total transportation cost. Notably, the distribution to Madura proves to be the most cost-efficient compared to other branches. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of the transportation method in achieving cost efficiency and operational reliability in distribution management. These solutions are then evaluated using the Modified Distribution Method (MODI), yielding a total Rp 22.130.000.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Microfinance Institution (MFI) programs in supporting the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan City. A qualitative approach is used to deeply explore the contribution of MFIs in providing inclusive financial access, such as low-interest loans, term savings, and business management training. The results show that MFIs have a strategic role in overcoming capital constraints and increasing MSME productivity. However, challenges such as limited operational capital, credit risk, and complex policies are significant barriers. This study recommends strengthening access to capital through collaboration with formal financial institutions and simplifying regulations to improve the effectiveness of MFI services. The findings contribute to strengthening the role of MFIs as strategic partners in empowering MSMEs to support sustainable regional economic growth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberhasilan program pembiayaan mikro oleh Bank BRI melalui kredit (KUR) pada pelaku usaha bengkle besi Selamet Jaya di Kota Medan. Lembaga keuangan mikro memainkan peran penting dalam menyediakan pembiayaan yang terjangkau dan mudah diakses bagi pelaku usaha, yang sering kali menghadapi kesulitan dalam mendapatkan modal dari sumber formal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yaitu metode yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan atau mendiskripsikan masalah secara sistematis, factual dan akurat mengenai fakta – fakta dari daerah tertentu Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik usaha dan pengelola lembaga keuangan mikro, serta analisis dokumen terkait program pembiayaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pembiayaan mikro oleh Bank BRI melalui KUR sudah berjalan dengan baik dan sangat bermanfaat untuk pelaku usaha Bengkel Las Selamet Jaya dalam menjalankan usahanya sebagai penambah modal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Quality of Service Affects Loyalty with Community Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable at the Secretariat Office of Baitul Mal, West Aceh Regency. The population in this study were all people who visited the Secretariat Office of Baitul Mal, West Aceh Regency. While the sample in this study was 100 people and the sampling technique was carried out randomly (Random Sampling). Based on the results of testing carried out using path analysis, namely the service quality variable, there is a significant influence on customer satisfaction with a coefficient value of 0.604. Furthermore, by using the t-test calculation in the regression test and path analysis where service quality and customer satisfaction simultaneously affect customer loyalty. Furthermore, testing the service quality variable has a significant effect on customer loyalty with a coefficient value of 0.217. Then the results of this study also prove that customer satisfaction also has a significant effect on customer loyalty of 0.539. Service quality has a direct influence on customer loyalty of 21.7% and an indirect influence of 32.5%, due to the presence of a mediating variable, namely customer satisfaction. So the total influence is 54.2%.

Abstract

Service MSMEs are no longer just complementary, but have become key actors in the local economic ecosystem. They are able to adapt quickly to market changes, develop innovative services, and make significant contributions to regional economic growth. However, behind this great potential, service MSMEs still face a number of complex structural challenges. This research aims to comprehensively explore the strategic role of service MSMEs in driving local economic growth. Through in-depth analysis that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, this study seeks to map contributions, identify success factors, and formulate practical recommendations for the development of service MSMEs. The method that will be used in this research is a qualitative approach. The qualitative approach method is one way to collect and analyze data that focuses on a deep understanding of social phenomena or human behavior. With the right support, service MSMEs can become the main foundation for a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable local economy.

Abstract

The application of Islamic business ethics in online buying and selling transactions among students Febi of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) is an important concern, especially considering the potential conflict between the principles of Islamic business ethics and the practices carried out. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in- depth interviews and document analysis. The results showed that the majority of students understand the basic principles of Islamic business ethics, such as honesty, fairness, transparency, and responsibility. However, the implementation of these principles has not been fully consistent, especially in the aspects of pricing, disclosing product information, and handling consumer complaints. The main factors influencing the level of implementation of Islamic business ethics are the level of religious knowledge, economic motivation, and the influence of the social environment. Recommendations are given to improve Islamic business ethics education through formal curriculum and extracurricular programs. This research aims to contribute to understanding the application of Islamic values in online buying and selling activities, while encouraging the creation of transactions that are in accordance with sharia principles and provide benefits for all parties.
