Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar anak di lingkungan SRT Sekolah Rakyat Terintegrasi 51 Kabupaten Bangkalan yang berdampak pada kurangnya pemahaman terhadap materi pelajaran. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak melalui pendampingan edukatif yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) dengan tahapan meliputi persiapan, pengkajian, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan terminasi. Adapun kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi pembiasaan kegiatan keagamaan seperti memimpin sholat, pemberian motivasi melalui cerita inspiratif, serta pendampingan belajar ulang bagi anak-anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya keaktifan, minat belajar, serta pemahaman anak terhadap materi. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembentukan karakter anak, seperti kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian, pendampingan edukatif ini terbukti efektif sebagai solusi dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar anak di lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi bilingual pada peserta didik sekolah dasar, khususnya madrasah ibtidaiyah, masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dari aspek kebahasaan maupun pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang kontekstual. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan literasi bilingual (Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris) melalui metode storytelling berbasis nilai-nilai Islami pada peserta didik kelas III MI Manggaruppi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, praktik langsung, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Storytelling dipilih karena mampu mengintegrasikan aspek bahasa, imajinasi, serta nilai moral dalam satu aktivitas yang menyenangkan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik lebih antusias dalam belajar bahasa, mampu memahami kosakata sederhana dalam dua bahasa, serta menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman terhadap nilai-nilai Islami seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan tolong-menolong. Kegiatan ini juga memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis cerita memberikan ruang bagi peserta didik untuk mengekspresikan diri sekaligus menyerap pesan moral secara alami. Dengan demikian, storytelling berbasis nilai Islami dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran literasi bilingual yang efektif dan kontekstual di lingkungan madrasah.

Abstract

Soft skills development at the elementary level, particularly at SDN 64 Malaka, is a crucial need to prepare students to adapt to the dynamic conditions of the digital age. Academic skills alone are no longer sufficient; students also require strong interpersonal skills. This activity aims to explore the process of developing students' soft skills through the integration and assistance of information technology. Specifically, the primary goal of this community service activity is to hone, guide, and enhance students' basic soft skills, such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity, which will be invaluable for their future.This community service activity was implemented using a participatory approach at SDN 64 Malaka through educational seminars, interactive workshops, and direct mentoring. The use of educational and interactive technology media was also incorporated to facilitate understanding and engage students' learning more effectively. The results of this mentoring program revealed significant findings: students possess a wealth of hidden potential, but they have not had the appropriate channels or facilities to channel it. Through this technology-based approach, students appear to be more enthusiastic and confident in expressing themselves. The soft skills strengthening program has proven crucial in developing students with strong charact er and practical, applicable skills. It is hoped that schools and stakeholders will continue to integrate this technology - based soft skills training into daily learning activities in the future to facilitate and sustainably develop students' potential.

Abstract

Graduates of vocational high schools (SMK) in Indonesia currently still face high unemployment. The main problem is the gap between the skills students have and the needs of the workforce, coupled with the fact that many students are not mentally prepared to graduate from school. In response to this, a team from Makassar State University, through the Impact Teaching Campus (KMB) program, conducted counseling guidance activities at SMK Negeri 3 Makassar. This activity aims to make students more prepared to p ursue a career in two ways: by recognizing personality through the RIASEC test and strengthening mental resilience. Involving 32 students from grades XI and XII, the activity was carried out in two stages: mapping career interests and an exciting seminar themed "Life After School." The results showed that the RIASEC test greatly helped students understand their work interests, so they were no longer confused about choosing their future path. In addition, seminars presented through games have proven successful in making students more resilient, better at managing stress, and more adaptable. In conclusion, the combination of clear direction and strong mentality makes students much more prepared to face the working world.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the creativity of street children through the utilization of plastic waste as a medium for artistic creation in Tamangapa Subdistrict, Manggala District, Makassar City. The main problems faced by the participants include limited knowledge and skills in processing plastic waste, as well as a lack of awareness regarding its potential as a creative resource. The methods used in this activity include educational sessions, hands-on practice in creating collage artworks, and participatory evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of plastic waste management, increased skills in producing creative artworks, and positive changes in attitudes toward environmental awareness. In addition, the activity contributed to increased self-confidence and improved social interaction among participants. The use of plastic waste as a creative medium has proven effective in fostering contextual and meaningful learning experiences for street children. Therefore, this activity not only provides educational benefits but also contributes to community empowerment through creativity and environmental awareness.

Abstract

Household waste remains a major challenge in maintaining environmental quality and public health. Low levels of knowledge, skills, and community participation in waste management have led to an increase in the volume of waste disposed of without sorting, leading to environmental pollution and disease risks. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of proper waste management, improve skills in sorting and processing organic and inorganic waste, encourage the utilization of waste into useful and economically valuable products, and create a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment through active community participation. The implementation method included initial identification through observation, interviews, and pre-tests, followed by education, practical training, mentoring, and evaluation using post-tests and field observations. The activity was attended by 30 participants, consisting of housewives, youth, and community leaders. The results showed that the average knowledge score of participants increased from 56.4 in the pre-test to 89.1 in the post-test. Ninety percent of participants were able to sort waste correctly, 80% successfully made simple compost, and 70% produced craft products from inorganic waste. Furthermore, community participation has increased, and environmental conditions have become cleaner and more organized. This program has proven effective in increasing community capacity in waste management based on the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and a circular economy. Participatory education and mentoring have encouraged changes in community behavior and built a shared commitment to maintaining a clean environment sustainably. This program is recommended for replication in other regions with support from the government, universities, and the community to ensure continued environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas dosen melalui pelaksanaan Rapat Kerja Cabang ADAKSI DPC Politeknik Negeri Pangkep. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Rabu, 22 April 2026 di Ruang Rapat Jurusan Kemaritiman, Kampus Politeknik Negeri Pangkep. Tema kegiatan adalah “ADAKSI Berdampak, Dosen Kuat Kinerja Meningkat”. Peserta kegiatan terdiri atas pengurus DPC ADAKSI Politeknik Negeri Pangkep, perwakilan DPW ADAKSI, serta perwakilan DPD ADAKSI sebanyak 30 orang. Metode kegiatan meliputi koordinasi organisasi, diskusi kelompok, identifikasi kebutuhan dosen, dan perumusan program kerja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa rapat kerja menghasilkan beberapa program strategis, antara lain pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah, coaching proposal penelitian, diseminasi hasil penelitian dan pengabdian, pendampingan perpajakan, pendampingan SKP/BKD/TUKIN, pengembangan karier dosen, penyusunan angka kredit, penggunaan aplikasi peningkatan mutu sumber daya dosen, serta penguatan kerja sama kelembagaan. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan kapasitas organisasi profesi dosen dan mendukung penguatan tridharma perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

The thrifting phenomenon in Indonesia is growing rapidly in line with the increasing public demand for affordable, high-quality, and branded fashion products. The buying and selling of imported used clothing is not only an economic alternative but also a growing part of the lifestyle of modern society, especially the younger generation. Meanwhile, the Indonesian government has implemented a ban on the import of used clothing through Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade and Ministerial Regulation Number 40 of 2022, as it is considered to disrupt the local textile industry, pose health risks, and increase illegal trade. This study aims to analyze the level of public understanding of the thrifting ban policy and examine its implementation through a legal philosophy perspective that emphasizes aspects of justice, legal certainty, and legal benefit. The community service method used is a qualitative approach using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques with traders, consumers, and the community at the Tirtonadi Terminal Hall in Surakarta. Secondary data was obtained through literature review in the form of scientific journals, academic articles, and relevant laws and regulations. The results of the community service program indicate that public understanding of the thrifting ban policy remains low, as people prioritize economic aspects, lifestyle, low prices, product quality, and well-known brands over legality. The thrifting ban policy meets the requirements of legal certainty because it has a clear regulatory basis.

Abstract

The digitalization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector is essential for improving operational efficiency in the digital economy era. This community service activity aimed to assist Kedai Huo, a culinary MSME in Samarinda, in adopting and optimizing the Majoo digital cashier application. The approach included field visits, participatory observation, and focused discussions with employees and managers. The results showed that the Majoo application significantly assisted in financial management, digital menu management, real-time transaction recording, and PIN-based employee attendance. However, challenges were identified, including internet connectivity dependency, limited employee access for order cancellations, and the absence of promotional features. This mentoring activity contributed positively to enhancing human resource capacity in operating digital technology and supporting gradual digital transformation within culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

Children are a vulnerable group in disaster situations due to their limited understanding of risks and underdeveloped self-protection abilities. This community service activity aimed to improve children's earthquake preparedness through interactive psychological education and simulation approaches. The target participants of this community service program were 32 students of the Taman Pendidikan Al -Qur'an (TPA) Misbahul Jannah, Boyolali. The methods employed included: (1) interactive disaster education sessions using visual media; (2) safety action training through the drop, cover, and hold on technique; and (3) earthquake emergency response simulation. Evaluation was conducted through question-and-answer sessions and direct observation of participants' ability to practice safety steps. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of earthquake risks and the safety actions to be taken. Most participants were able to articulate safety steps and perform the simulation correctly. This activity is expected to serve as a model for disaster preparedness education based on non-formal religious educational institutions, replicable in other TPAs in disaster-prone areas.
