Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan fase transisi penting dari anak-anak menuju dewasa,yang mecakup rentang usia 10-18 tahun. pada usia ini cenderung sangat di pengaruhi oleh teman sebaya sehingga hal ini memainkan peranan penting dalam membentuk perilaku dan kegiatan mereka. WHO menyatakan bahwa sekitar 30% dari total perokok di dunia adalah remaja, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa remaja merupakan kelompok yang cukup besar dalam populasi perokok global. Hal tersebut menjadi latar belakang terselenggaranya kegiatan ini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Mei 2025 di SDN Kadunenggang Sukamanah Cigalontang Kabupaten Tasikmalaya.Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan manfaat berupa peningkatan pemahaman lebih dalam tentang dampak negatif merokok terhadap kesehatan, sehingga siswa bisa menghindari kebiasaan merokok sejak dini dan membentuk gaya hidup sehat. Penyuluhan pentingnya pengetahuan bahaya tentang merokok merupakan langkah preventif untuk menghindari kebiasaan merokok dan masalah kesehatan di masa depan. Tingkat pengetahuan siswa dengan kriteria baik bertambah 1 orang siswa dan 1 orang siswa berada dalam kriteria tingkat pengetahuan cukup setelah dilakukan penyuluhan . Kegiatan ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan. Penggunaan alat peraga dalam penyuluhan ini menjadi daya tarik membantu sasaran untuk lebih antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan. Pengetahuan sasaran menunjukkan peningkatan hal ini dapat terlihat dari perolehan nilai post test.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the immunity and quality of life of the elderly in Badean Village, Banyuwangi, through the implementation of healthy lifestyle practices utilizing local food ingredients. The program's background is rooted in the increasing elderly population, who tend to experience a decline in immunity (immunosenescence) and quality of life, necessitating comprehensive health interventions. The methodology employed is a community-based participatory approach, actively involving the elderly, their families, health cadres, and community leaders. Key program activities include balanced nutrition education, practical training on processing local food ingredients, promotion of adaptive physical activities, and capacity building for health cadres as health facilitators. The program results demonstrate a significant positive impact. There was an increase in the elderly's knowledge about healthy lifestyles and nutrition from 55% to 73%. Behavioral observations indicated an increase in the consumption of local vegetables and fruits (70%) and regular participation in physical activities (60%). The utilization of local food ingredients for daily diets also notably increased. Qualitatively, the elderly reported an improvement in their physical (more energetic) and psychological (happier) quality of life, as well as a decrease in the frequency of minor health complaints. This program successfully demonstrated that community-based interventions optimizing local food resources are an effective and sustainable strategy for improving the health and well-being of the elderly, while simultaneously empowering the community.

Abstract

Resistensi antibiotika adalah suatu kondisi ketika bakteri kebal terhadap antibiotika yang digunakan untuk membunuh bakteri tersebut. Penyebabkan adalah penggunaan antibiotika yang tidak rasional misalnya pembelian obat antibiotika tanpa resep dokter dan penyembuhan penyakit yang diakibatkan virus dan jamur. Hal ini membuat penggunaan antibiotika menjadi tidak efektif untuk mengatasi infeksi bakteri. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi mengenai resistensi antibiotika dengan sasaran yaitu pemuda pemudi karang taruna. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan menyampaikan materi, diskusi dan tanya jawab serta pemberian soal pre dan posttest. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terdapat materi dapat disampaikan dengan baik kepada semua peserta. Setiap peserta yang hadir aktif mengikuti kegiatan hingga selesai dan mengajukan pertanyaan terkait materi yang disampaikan. Hasil penilaian pretest dan posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rerata nilai pretest dan posttest pada 20 peserta yaitu 77 menjadi 90. Diharapkan pengetahuan yang telah diperoleh dapat disebarluaskan kepada masyarakat sekitar pada setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh karang taruna. Kesimpulannya adalah pengetahuan peserta pengabdian masyarakat mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan sebelum kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan.

Abstract

Banyak dari siswa SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo, terutama siswa jurusan Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV), sudah terbiasa menggunakan komputer atau laptop saat belajar. Banyak dari mereka, bagaimanapun, tidak memiliki pengetahuan dasar tentang perawatan komputer, atau bagaimana menangani masalah ringan seperti virus, kesalahan sistem operasi, atau kesalahan penggunaan. Namun, keterampilan ini sangat penting agar mereka dapat menangani masalah secara mandiri. Akibatnya, sebagai mahasiswa, kami ingin memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kami kepada siswa SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo, terutama tentang cara menginstal sistem operasi Windows secara mandiri. Pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui penyediaan materi langsung dan instruksi tentang cara menginstal Windows 10 menggunakan aplikasi VirtualBox. Kami mengadakan praktik dan sesi diskusi untuk siswa bertanya dan memahami materi dengan lebih baik.Kami memberikan pertanyaan sederhana yang berkaitan dengan materi yang disampaikan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana siswa memahami materi. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa beberapa siswa mampu memahami dan mempraktikkan prosedur instalasi Windows 10. Dengan kegiatan ini, kami berharap siswa SMK Ibrahimy 1 Sukorejo dapat memahami keterampilan dasar dalam memperbaiki dan merawat computer/laptop mereka sendiri, mulai dari instalasi sistem operasi, pemasangan software pendukung, dan penyelesaian masalah ringan. Abstract

Tunas Jati Paud Pos, Kedungjati Village, Sempor District, is one of the Pauds in a mountainous area far from the district town center.This community service activity was carried out to improve the understanding and skills of parents at Tunas Jati Early Childhood Education Post in managing choking.This activity began with initial socialization and discussions with partners and preparation of infrastructure. The material is provided through socialization or counseling methods and choking demonstrations.Monitoring and evaluation of activities is seen from three indicators including input, process and output indicators.In terms of input, this activity was successful as planned and was attended by 30 participants who were parents of Pos Paud Tunas Jati students.Judging from the process indicators, participants appeared enthusiastic about participating in all activities from start to finish.This activity also succeeded in fulfilling the output indicators with the majority of activity participants (>90%) successfully answering all post-test questions correctly.It is hoped that all participants will be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained through the activity and independently disseminate the material to other residents.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini memerlukan dukungan lingkungan keluarga yang aman dan bahagia agar perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan kognitif anak berlangsung optimal. Namun, masih banyak orang tua yang memaknai ruang aman sebatas aspek fisik dan belum memahami pentingnya keamanan emosional serta komunikasi empatik dalam pengasuhan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kapasitas orang tua serta pendidik dalam menciptakan ruang aman dan bahagia bagi anak melalui pengasuhan positif dan komunikasi lembut. Metode pelaksanaannya meliputi tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, yang dilakukan melalui penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, serta refleksi bersama orang tua di TK Negeri Pembina 4 Kota Jambi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman orang tua mengenai konsep keamanan emosional, pengasuhan responsif, dan pentingnya regulasi emosi dalam mendampingi anak. Implikasi kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi parenting berbasis kebutuhan nyata keluarga berpotensi memberikan dampak berkelanjutan terhadap kualitas pengasuhan, kesejahteraan anak, dan perkembangan anak usia dini.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital technology among early childhood without adequate parental guidance has become a major issue faced by the community partner, namely parents of students at TK 20 Junior Kota Jambi. Limited parental digital literacy may lead to negative impacts on children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. This Community Empowerment Learning (PPM) activity aimed to improve parents’ digital literacy as an effort to strengthen digital parenting practices for early childhood. The proposed solution was implemented through an interactive digital literacy socialization program using lectures, sharing sessions, and question-and-answer activities conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed an improvement in parents’ understanding of the risks of unassisted gadget use, digital supervision strategies, and the importance of regulating screen time and selecting age-appropriate content. In addition to increased knowledge, the activity encouraged positive changes in parents’ attitudes and commitment to applying more structured digital parenting practices. The implications indicate that digital literacy socialization is an effective preventive approach to reducing the digital gap between parents and children and strengthening collaboration between schools and families.

Abstract

Rooted in the growing urgency to align vocational education with real-world demands, this study investigates a targeted communication training program aimed at enhancing public speaking confidence among Indonesian vocational high school students. Many students face persistent struggles in formal speaking situations. not due to lack of knowledge, but because of low self-perceived communication competence and anxiety. To address this, the communication training program was conducted as a community service initiative by Universitas Pamulang at SMKS Kusuma Bangsa. Employing a qualitative-descriptive method informed by Creswell (2014) framework, the program integrated experiential learning strategies such as mock interviews, motivational media, and communicative games. Observational data, self-reflections, and teacher evaluations revealed marked improvements in students’ articulation, composure and use of formal language. The program not only reduced speaking anxiety but also cultivated social and emotional readiness for professional communication. These findings highlight the value of immersive, learner-centered communication training in preparing vocational students for the linguistic and interpersonal demands of the modern workplace.

Abstract

Background: Limited understanding of menstruation among elementary school girls is still frequently influenced by myths and inaccurate information, which negatively affects menstrual hygiene practices and fosters unfavorable perceptions of the menstrual process. Objective: This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of healthy menstruation as an effort to reduce the influence of myths through basic reproductive health education. Methods: The program was implemented through interactive educational sessions using booklets, distribution of leaflets, and knowledge evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments among 52 fifth- and sixth-grade female students at MI Nidhomiyah Jombang. Results: The findings demonstrated a significant change in the level of understanding, marked by a shift from a predominance of poor knowledge before the intervention to a majority of students achieving a good level of knowledge after the intervention. Implications: These findings highlight the importance of integrating reproductive health education into regular school programs, with support from teachers and healthcare professionals, to ensure the sustainability of educational outcomes. Conclusion: This one-day educational activity was shown to contribute to improving students’ basic knowledge of menstruation and to reducing the influence of myths that may potentially interfere with reproductive health during early adolescence

Abstract

Publication of scientific papers is a form of embodiment of scientific work uploaded in one of the journals. The purpose of this service is to increase knowledge, understanding of assisted subjects about scientific works and publications, the formation of a community of scientific writers for assisted subjects and the creation of a culture of reading and scientific literacy that has a consistent impact on scientific publications. The method used in Community Service is the concept of service learning with stages: (1) investigation; (2) preparation; (3) actions; and (4). The results of this assistance show an increase in understanding of the installation delay and its application by 98%, understanding the structure of scientific articles and writing ethics by 85%, citation and anti-plagiarism by 80%, tutorials looking for journals and journal sections by 95% and SINTA journal submission tutorials, by 100%. The implementation of training and mentoring ran successfully according to the expectations that have been scheduled.
