Abstract

HIV/AIDS merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan di dunia, khususnya di Indonesia. Tahun 2021 di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan tercatat bahwa kasus HIV dan AIDS paling tinggi terjadi di Kota Palembang. Pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS pada remaja salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan di sekolah. Tahap remaja adalah tahap yang mengalami perkembangan secara fisik maupun psikologi. Remaja ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai seksualitas. Informasi kesehatan reproduksi perlu diberikan karena perilaku seks pranikah menjadikan remaja rentan akan HIV. Teman sebaya atau peers educator adalah pelibatan remaja dalam seluruh proses promosi kesehatan yang diupayakan melalui sekolah. kegiatan pengabdian ini dilanjutkan pada bulan November 2024 yaitu dengan kegiatan pembentukan kelompok teman sebaya yang akan membantu dan memonitoring temannya dalam melanjutkan edukasi tentang pencegahan HIV/AIDS.kegiatan ini terdiri dari 15 orang dengan membentuk 3 kelompok yang masing-masing terdiri 5 orang. Hasil dari pengabdian ini domain pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan pelatihan karena mereka juga adalah peserta yang memiliki pengetahuan baik juga di penyuluhan tahap pertama.

Abstract

The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) aims to increase educational synergy and strengthen the empowerment of Islamic boarding schools. This activity was carried out for 30 days at the Al Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School, with a focus on improving the quality of students through practice-based training and seminars. In its implementation, communication obstacles are overcome through regular meetings, a clear leadership structure, and an organized division of tasks to strengthen coordination. Despite facing communication challenges, the KKN program at Al Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School has succeeded in improving the quality of education and skills of students. The steps implemented during this activity had a positive impact on the development of students and society.

Abstract

Singaraja Village has large MSME potential, but it has not been utilized optimally. One of the obstacles faced by MSMEs is a lack of understanding about digital marketing, especially the use of the Google Maps application. This KKN activity aims to provide education and training to MSMEs in Singaraja Village regarding the importance of branding and how to use Google Maps as a marketing tool. The methods used in this activity are socialization, training and mentoring. MSME players are given an understanding of the concept of branding, the benefits of Google Maps for MSMEs, and how to register their business on Google Maps. Apart from that, they are also taught how to manage business information on Google Maps, such as adding product photos, opening hours and contact information. The results of this activity show that MSMEs in Singaraja Village are enthusiastic about participating in the training and understand the importance of branding for their business. They are also able to register their business on Google Maps and manage business information independently. By registering MSMEs on Google Maps, it is hoped that they can increase the visibility of their businesses, attract more customers, and ultimately increase revenue.

Abstract

Suicide is an attempt by someone to end their life. National Police data recorded 852 cases of suicide from January to August 2024. Case has increased compared to 2023 which was only 300 cases per year, suicide often occurs at the age of 17-25 years. Interpersonal Communication (KAP) is needed to overcome this incident. Purpose of this program to provide education to parents and adolescents about suicide prevention. Program was implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran, developed in accordance with the community service plan of the University of Muhammadiyah Jember and government policies related to mental health care. Sample of this service is families and adolescents at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran. Method will be used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through surveys and needs analysis: suicide prevention education, Interpersonal Communication (KAP) roleplay and family and adolescent assistance. Activity was carried out on February 1-20, 2025 at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran, attended by 79 adolescents and families. Activities include socialization of activities, suicide prevention education, roleplay of Interpersonal Communication (KAP) and mentoring of adolescents and families. Conclusion of the results obtained 100% of families expressed satisfaction with the Interpersonal Communication (KAP) program as evidenced by the majority of families wanting similar activities to be held at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran. Abstract

Indonesia still faces the problem of high unemployment, especially among teenagers. Empowerment through entrepreneurship is a solution by increasing skills, independence, and access to economic opportunities through simple and locally-based tempeh production. Cimanglid Village, Tasikmalaya, is affected by unemployment, so tempeh entrepreneurship is expected to be a real solution. This study aims to determine the approach to community empowerment. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study include the possibility of showing that tempeh businesses support economic growth through training, mentoring, and market access. Strengthening is carried out through technical guidance, capital assistance, and marketing strategies. Protection is reflected in waste management and increasing product competitiveness. Support comes from the government, academics, and the surrounding community. Business maintenance is carried out through routine evaluation, product innovation, and cooperation. Tempeh entrepreneurship has proven effective in creating a sustainable local economy. In conclusion, this empowerment improves economic welfare and creates financial independence for the people of Cimanglid Village, although they still face challenges such as limited capital, fluctuations in raw material prices, and market competition that require a more comprehensive strategy and ongoing support from various stakeholders

Abstract

Natural disasters, such as floods, frequently strike East Java, and particularly in Tambak Ukir Village, Situbondo, have a significant impact on the mental health of children, especially elementary school students. The trauma experienced from these disasters disrupts their psychosocial development, potentially hindering their learning processes and social interactions. This community service activity was conducted in the affected area in collaboration with the Student Disaster Preparedness Unit of Stikes Banyuwangi and Rumah Zakat Banyuwangi Volunteers, focusing on restoring the students' mental well-being. The method involved providing information and education, presented through games, to help them recover from the trauma of the disaster they experienced. The program aimed to increase the students' mental resilience, reduce trauma symptoms, and create a safer learning environment. Psychosocial support through trauma healing is crucial for recovery from traumatic experiences and building a better future. This community service project is expected to contribute to developing educational and mental health policies in disaster-prone areas. The implications of this project are significant, highlighting how structured psychosocial interventions can help children overcome disaster-related trauma. In conclusion, this trauma healing program represents a vital step in building the psychological resilience of children in post-disaster situations.

Abstract

English language proficiency is an essential skill in security services, particularly for security personnel (satpam) who frequently interact with foreign guests. This article describes an English training program for security supervisors as an empowerment strategy to enhance the quality of communication and security services. The training was conducted in the form of an interactive workshop using a Training for Trainers (ToT) approach, where security supervisors were trained to become effective tutors for the personnel under their supervision. The training materials covered basic communication in security contexts, English teaching techniques, and teaching practice through simulations and role-plays. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ improvement in English proficiency and pedagogical skills. The results showed an increase in post-training scores in both communication and teaching abilities. This program is expected to generate a sustainable multiplier effect through internal training conducted by the security supervisors, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of professionalism and the quality of security services.

Abstract

Penyuluhan higiene sanitasi dan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sangat penting bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di bidang industri makanan, seperti produksi gula jawa dan kerupuk. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan praktik higiene sanitasi dan K3 di kalangan pelaku UMKM di Dusun Clebung Gunung. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini antara lain edukasi melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD), dan pemberian leaflet sebagai media informasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan penyuluhan, praktik higiene sanitasi masih rendah, seperti penggunaan alat produksi yang kurang higienis, kurangnya penggunaan APD, dan minimnya pemahaman tentang bahaya K3. Setelah dilakukan intervensi, terjadi peningkatan kesadaran dan penerapan higiene sanitasi dan K3 yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dan keselamatan pekerja. Penerapan higiene sanitasi dan K3 yang baik berpotensi meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen dan memperluas pasar UMKM di bidang pangan. Abstract

Liquid waste and solid waste are products of tofu and tempeh processing. Solid waste, the end product of the sieving and coagulation process, is then used as flour, tofu biscuits, and animal feed. Liquid waste is the end result of the washing, boiling, pressing, and molding processes. Food businesses in Indonesia are often found in rivers or residential areas, which have a negative impact on the environment, resulting in ugly buildings, and reducing environmental degradation, all of which can contribute to habitat degradation. The tofu, tempeh, and tapioca industries, as well as other food sectors, are among the food industries that produce large environmental impacts. This research was conducted at the Anisah tofu and tempeh factory in Konda District. This research uses a participatory education approach to increase the knowledge of tofu and tempeh factory actors in waste management. The approach method used is the extension and interview method. Based on the results of interviews conducted with the owner of the Anisah tofu and tempeh factory, it is known that there are 3 types of waste produced by the factory, namely liquid waste, solid waste and gas waste. It is expected that the owners of the tofu and tempeh factory industry are advised to start implementing simple and environmentally friendly waste processing methods. Supervision from related agencies also needs to be strengthened so that waste management is carried out consistently and responsibly

Abstract

The assistance of the Ramadan safari activity carried out by the HMPS Tadris Bahasa Indonesia UIMSYA Blokagung Banyuwangi is one form of implementation of the tridharma of higher education. This activity aims to provide students with provisions related to spiritual and social values. The method used in this activity is more focused on the implementation stage of the activity which includes three stages: the planning stage, implementation and evaluation. The results of this community service activity are in accordance with what is expected. This can be seen from the good response from SMAN 1 Muncar and students as participants in this activity. Mainly from the concept of the activity and the material that has been prepared and arranged for the smooth running of this year's Ramadan safari activity.
