Abstract

This research aims to describe (1) the cultivation of religious character and discipline through the habit of Duha prayer at Mi Muhammadiyah Karangduren Sawit Boyolali, (2) the values ??contained in the religious character and discipline character that exist in the habit of Duha prayer. The research is qualitative research with field research to find out about cultivating religious character and disciplined character through the practice of dhuha prayers at Mi Muhammadiyah Karangduren. The subject of this research is the Mi Muhammadiyah Karangduren teacher. Data collection in this research used interviews, observation, and documentation. then, the data analysis used is data reduction, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that cultivating religious character and discipline can be implemented through the practice of Dhuha prayers as has been implemented at Mi Muhammadiyah Karangduren Sawit. The religious character that is instilled through congregational dhuha prayers contains several values, such as the value of honesty which is reflected when students come to the madrasah and have not performed ablution, meaning they must first perform ablution with self-awareness. Divine values ??are symbolized by the differences that exist, but the students remain side by side, straightening their rows and prostrating themselves together to Allah. As well as instilling istiqomah in students to participate in the dhuha prayer from start to finish dhikr and memorizing Asmaul Husna without disturbing their friends and the value of cooperation that exists when preparing a place for dhuha prayer even though the schedule is given in grades 4-6. Then the character of discipline is instilled, such as discipline regarding the time at which students arrive before the Duha prayer begins, namely 07.00, and discipline in carrying out tasks according to the assignment.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the demand for ESP instruction is increasing. ESP instructors must develop instruction suitable to the student's needs. This research aims to explore the strategies of the lecturer in teaching ESP students, to acknowledge the improvement in English language skills, and to gain the students’ perceptions of the implemented strategies. The participants are the lecturer and the students who take Early Childhood Islamic Education and Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education programs. This research used classroom action research design. The data were obtained by observing the ESP instruction implemented during the learning process, pre and post-tests, and the students’ responses. The results of the study revealed that ESP instructions or strategies used by the lecturer improved the English skills of students such as ability in speaking, pronunciation, and language use.  The students’ perceptions of the strategies were also positive. They viewed that these strategies helped them understand the learning concept. Overall, the implementation of these strategies led to enhanced student learning outcomes and proficiency in English speaking skills.

Abstract

Abdullah Nashih ‘Ulwan presents views on educating children in Islam based on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the book "Tarbiyatul Aulad fil Islam". This book has been translated into various languages and serves as a reference for Islamic child education worldwide, including in Indonesia. The seven points mentioned in the book are faith, morals, physical education, intellect, spiritual education, social education, and sex education. The "kurikulum merdeka" or independent curriculum is the latest curriculum implemented since 2022. The curriculum change started from first grade and fourth grade and has been ongoing for two years, prompting researchers to focus on studying student textbooks in the fourth grade. This study aims to analyze the perspective of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan with the Islamic Religious Education and Character Education books used in Elementary Schools. This research is qualitative in nature, specifically library research, and the gathered data are analyzed using text and language analysis methods, namely content analysis. The results of this research show that there is relevance in the compilation of Islamic religious education and character education books for fourth grade in the independent curriculum, presented in ten chapters with six points previously proposed by Abdullah Nashih ‘Ulwan, while physical education is provided in a separate subject, namely physical education, sports, and health.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the description of students' learning activities using the Android learning-to-read application and to determine the improvement in students' reading skills in class I at SDN 41 Batu Putih, Palopo City. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) consisting of several stages, namely planning, implementation, observation or observation, and reflection. The focus of the research is to improve students' reading skills by using the learning-to-read Android application. The research subjects were all class I students at SDN 41 Batu Putih, Palopo City, totaling 26 students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this research show that in cycle I the description of student learning activities in meeting I got a percentage of 27% (poor), meeting II was 36% (poor), and meeting III was 55% (good). The average overall score percentage in cycle I was 39% (less). In cycle II, the description of student learning activities in meeting I got a percentage of 61% (good), meeting II was 86% (very good), and meeting III was 100% (very good). The average overall score percentage in cycle II was 82% (very good). The percentage of students' reading ability in cycle I got a percentage of 39% (poor) and in cycle II got percentage of 82% (very good). Based on the results of the percentage of learning activities and improvement in students' reading skills using the learning to read an android application, it can be concluded that students experienced an increase in their reading skills through using the "Belajar Membaca" android application.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of social interaction between students and students in outdoor learning at State Elementary School 11 Dangerakko to find out the form of social interaction between students and teachers in outdoor learning at Sekolah SD Negeri 11 Dangerakko to find out the supporting factors of social interaction between students and teachers with students in outdoor learning at State Elementary School 11 Dangerakko. This research will be carried out in 2023, with the subject being students of S.D.N. 11 Dangerakko. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and verification. This study shows that the analysis of student interaction with students in outdoor learning is very good, and student interaction with teachers is very good and smooth.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the community's drive to enroll their children in tahfizh programs, which has led to many tahfizh institutions developing in the community. Ma'had Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas is a pesantren that focuses on learning tahfizh program. The objectives of this study are (1) to find out how Mudir's strategy is used to manage the tahfizh program at Ma'had Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas, and (2) to analyze the impact of applying Mudir's strategy in managing the tahfizh program at Ma'had Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas. The type of qualitative research used in this research is a case study. This study was conducted at Ma'had Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas. Observation, interview, and documentation are data collection methods. Leader/Mudir, Deputy Mudir Regular, Deputy Mudir Intensive, and santri are the data sources of this study. In this study, data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing were used. To test the validity of the data, triangulation of techniques and sources was used. The results showed that (1) Mudir's Strategy in Managing the Tahfizh Program at Ma'had Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas consists of a) Implementation, b) Curriculum, c) Management, and d) Supervision. Wahdah method and Thariqatu al-jumlah memorization using sabaq, sabqi, manzil, and mukammal techniques. The two main programs in management are the regular program and the intensive program. (2) Syahadah Al-Qur'an and the speed of achieving the goal show the role of Mudir's strategy in Tahfizh program management. The Tahfizh program at Ma'had Daarut Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas is very successful. A santri can memorize 30 juz Al-Qur'an within 8 months and 1 year and 10 months.

Abstract

The ability to think analytically is a student's skill when describing a problem so that several parts of the problem are formed and also determining relationships based on ongoing problems. Different cognitive styles in obtaining results both visually and verbally will form two groups, namely the visualizer cognitive style and the verbalizer cognitive style. Researchers use the visualizer and verbalizer cognitive styles in order to find out students' analytical thinking abilities when determining problems in an image or word. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The topics used were 3 students who had a visualizer cognitive style and 3 students who had a verbalizer cognitive style for class V MI Maarif Buduran. The results obtained are students' analytical thinking skills who have a visualizer cognitive style in the indicator category when understanding problems, planning solutions, carrying out solutions, and re-examining the results of solutions. Meanwhile, visualizer students are classified as sufficient indicators to explain the relationship between the strategy used and the problem that must be solved. Students who have a visualizer cognitive style tend to use images to solve mathematical problems. For students, the cognitive verbalization style is classified as good in all indicators of the level of understanding the problem, planning a solution, carrying out the solution, and reviewing the results of the solution, except for the part that summarizes the problem and conclusions.

Abstract

This article discusses research on the development of Local Culture-Based Learner Worksheets on Indonesian Cultural Wealth Material for Class IV SDN 468 Bilante, Larompong District, Luwu Regency. This study aims to analyze the needs of Local Culture-Based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) on Indonesian Cultural Wealth Material. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. This research was conducted in 2024 involving 18 fourth grade students of SDN 468 Bilante, while the object of research was the Learner Worksheet (LKPD) developed according to the needs of students. The research data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and tests then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the results of the study, the use of LKPD in increasing the knowledge of students, based on the results of the validity of the Learner Worksheet (LKPD) with categories including linguists getting a percentage worth 85% with a very valid category, material experts get a presentation value of 92% with a very valid category, while design experts get a percentage value of 81% with a very valid category. Based on the results of the practicality lift, a presentation of 86% for students and 89.5% for educators was obtained. Then the effectiveness of LKPD users with a presentation of 92% is very valid category. Based on the results of the study, the use of LKPD in increasing students' knowledge, based on the needs analysis that has been carried out in class IV SDN 468 Bilante, shows that the product that has been successfully developed is a local culture-based LKPD on the material of Indonesia's cultural wealth in class IV and this LKPD has been adjusted to the needs of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop effective and innovative learning tools that can improve the understanding of mathematical concepts on the material of building space. This research is Research and Development by applying the Reiser and Molenda model. The final validation result of the product from the material expert is 89.4% while the media expert is 97%, so this media product is declared very feasible to use in the learning process. N-Gain was used to measure the improvement of learning outcomes. From the analysis results, the control group average was 52.3 and the experimental average was 55.90. This study also proved that there was a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the experimental group and the control group from the independent sample t-test of t = 3.74; p = 0.001; ES = 0.973. The importance of integrating innovative and contextual learning media offers educators guidance to design more engaging and effective learning strategies, as well as enriching students' learning experiences by utilizing cultural and technological elements in education.

Abstract

This classroom action research seeks to enhance the mathematics learning outcomes of SDN Mlatiharjo 01 class I students with the use of interactive PowerPoint and image media on material recognition diagrams. The method of research used is called Classroom Action Research (PTK). Two meetings were held during each of the study's two cycles. Every cycle has four stages: preparation, execution, assessment, and review. Two cycles, totalling two meetings each, were used to conduct the research. Twenty-six IB students from the class served as the research subjects. Techniques for gathering data include testing, documentation, and observation. Student learning outcomes have significantly increased, according to the research findings. During the pre-cycle, the average class score was 60%, but the learning completion percentage was only 34.61%. Completeness rose to 46.15% in cycle I, averaging 71.53%. Cycle II's completion rate of 84.61% and class average of 83.84% demonstrated even more progress. Learning outcomes and students' critical thinking abilities in mathematics have been shown to improve with the use of the PBL model and image media, particularly regarding diagram recognition material.
