Abstract

Indonesia is strategically positioned as the world's largest archipelagic country with more than 17,000 islands and vital shipping lanes connecting the Indian and Pacific Oceans, making it a global maritime logistics hub. However, this potential is constrained by logistics infrastructure disparities, especially in the eastern region which faces limitations in port capacity and shipping frequency. This study aims to analyze Indonesia's maritime policy 2021-2025 in overcoming logistics challenges, improving inter-island connectivity, and integrating modern technology for operational efficiency. The results of the study show that the Sea Toll program has succeeded in reducing price disparities between islands through increased connectivity, although the efficiency of loading and unloading and warehousing still needs to be improved. Initiatives such as real-time tracking and satellite-based AIS systems have been proven to improve port security and productivity. The conclusions of the study emphasize the importance of policy harmonization, investment in strategic ports (such as Patimban), and the implementation of sustainable practices to maximize Indonesia's geographical advantage. Global collaboration through events such as Indonesia Maritime Week 2025 and the adoption of digitalization are key to strengthening Indonesia's position as a sustainable global maritime hub.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Customer relationship management (CRM) is the set of procedures, personnel, and technology used by businesses to locate their customers. CRM fosters relationships and customer retention. The development of CRM is positively impacted by organizational improvements in customer-centric procedures and advancements in information technology. Successful CRM implementation will increase an organization's profitability and customer loyalty. Viewing CRM as a technology alone is one factor contributing to its failure; in order for it to succeed, firms must integrate and strike a balance between people, process, and technology. The influence of environmental factors, such as political, economic, social, and technological aspects, on CRM is attempted to be measured. Additionally, a SWOT analysis is conducted, and a few recommendations are made based on the analysis to ensure the effectiveness of CRM activities. Key words : Measuring performance, customer relationship management, strategics perspective

Abstract

This study investigates the role of computational thinking (CT) in enhancing the problem-solving abilities of high school students within the context of 21st-century education demands. Computational thinking, comprising skills such as decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic design, has emerged as an essential cognitive approach for tackling complex and ill-structured problems. Using a mixed-methods design, data were collected from 120 high school students through problem-solving tests, computational thinking assessments, and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative analysis using paired t-tests revealed a statistically significant improvement in students’ problem-solving performance after the integration of CT-based instructional strategies (p < 0.05). Qualitative findings further indicated that students demonstrated greater confidence, systematic reasoning, and adaptability when addressing both academic and real-life problem contexts. The results underscore the importance of embedding CT into high school curricula, not only as a digital literacy skill but also as a transversal competency that supports creative and analytical thinking. This study contributes to the growing body of evidence advocating for CT integration as a means to prepare students for higher education, STEM careers, and complex challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Women's leadership is essentially no different from men's leadership, with the two being distinguished only by leadership styles resulting from gender differences inherent from birth. In this regard, the female chairperson of the Malahayati School of Transportation Management (STMT) has achieved significant progress in line with her vision and mission. The design of this research is thematic qualitative descriptive to discover and describe the female leadership strategies implemented by Dr. Hj. Mardiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Chair of STMT Malahayati 2022-2026, in developing and advancing the education sector. The method used in this research is ethnography, where one of the researchers is the actor. The ethnographic approach was chosen to understand a phenomenon deeply and holistically in a natural way, providing insights from the participants' perspective (emic perspective), revealing implicit behavior patterns and changes over time, and producing rich and diverse data for theory development and social problem solving. From the data collection process, which was then analyzed using thematic narrative, it was found that the leadership strategy of women in advancing the education sector at STMT Malahayati is to prioritize humanistic principles in utilizing all available potential, including man, money, material, method, machine, and marketing, with the support of digital advances. However, organizational dynamics are maintained and moderated by mutual respect, openness, and collaboration based on the pentha helix, which includes elements of government, academia, industry, society, and the media. This strategy is implemented to improve the quality of education based on Outcome Based Education (OBE) while strengthening STMT Malahayati as a campus with an impact on Indonesian nationalism.

Abstract

Efforts to achieve Indonesia's national goals require the state to ensure adequate nutrition for the population through the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program launched by President Prabowo Subianto on January 6, 2025, with a target of 28.9 million beneficiaries. The challenge is not easy, given Indonesia's vast territory and ongoing connectivity issues between islands, making it urgent to establish schools as Mini SPPGs. This research design is qualitative with a descriptive explanatory approach to identify and describe research variables narratively and thematically, using standard Indonesian language. The data obtained were categorized into those related to the current SPPG or SPPG Maxi and schools as Mini SPPGs, then narrated according to the research framework and objectives. The qualitative analysis concluded that it is very important and urgent for the Indonesian government to establish schools as Mini SPPGs to accelerate the provision and delivery of nutrition services to the community (students) across all regions of Indonesia, in addition to the existing SPPG (Maxi) system. Supporting factors include the availability of school infrastructure and school committees across all regions of Indonesia. The number of beneficiaries is relatively small, limited to a single school, and collaboration among the pentha helix is needed to strengthen the initiative.

Abstract

Welding dissimilar materials such as wear plate HB500 and duplex stainless steel AISI 318LN presents significant challenges due to the formation of brittle intermetallic phases, differences in thermal expansion, and residual stresses. This research aims to determine the optimal combination of welding parameters preheat temperature, electrode type, welding current, PWHT temperature, and PWHT holding time using the Taguchi L18 orthogonal array. Mechanical responses evaluated include tensile strength and impact toughness, which were combined using the Multi-Response Performance Index (MRPI). Experimental results indicate that PWHT temperature contributes most significantly to the combined mechanical response (44%), followed by electrode type (14%) and preheat temperature (12%). Welding current and PWHT time were statistically insignificant (p > 0.05). The optimal parameter combination determined through Taguchi analysis is electrode E2209, preheat 150°C, and PWHT 400°C. Confirmation tests produced an MRPI value of 0.833, which lies within the 95% confidence interval of predicted values (0.575–0.942). Thus, the Taguchi method demonstrated reliable predictive capability for optimizing welding parameters for dissimilar HB500–AISI 318LN joints.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the nation's intelligence and advance public welfare must be a commitment of the Indonesian people, and this must be realized through pro-people and sustainable government policies. Many challenges are faced, including preparing a healthy, intelligent generation with Pancasila character, to become a superior generation, especially in welcoming the Golden Indonesia Era in 2045. One such effort is the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), which is implemented by strengthening school-based governance. The hope is that this will accelerate services and equitable distribution of nutritional needs for communities throughout Indonesia. The challenge is not easy, requiring commitment from the central and regional governments to focus on and ensure the success of the MBG program. This research design is a qualitative descriptive study with a thematic narrative approach to identify and describe efforts to strengthen school-based MBG governance in Indonesia, where currently there is a gap in the role of schools limited to channeling MBG to SPPG and student beneficiaries. Through in-depth interviews with one of the BGN partner foundations, the SPPG, and schools in Tangerang City, qualitative data was obtained, which was then analyzed using a thematic narrative approach. The results showed that: a) the role of schools in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal Program is currently limited to distributing MBG from SPPG to beneficiary students at their schools. Efforts to strengthen the governance of school-based Free Nutritious Meal Program must begin with a government commitment between BGN and the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Culture to collaborate with schools as SPPGs that serve MBG for their students, supported by the Ministry of Health.

Abstract

Efforts to advance public welfare through industrial development require penta-helix collaboration to achieve goals more effectively and efficiently, especially in the pharmaceutical sector, where raw materials are still dependent on other countries. This poses a shared challenge requiring all elements of the nation, especially the government, to play a significant role in collaborating on all national resources towards independence, sovereignty, and national progress for the welfare of the people. The pharmaceutical sector in Indonesia is experiencing rapid progress, but on the other hand, it requires a focus on gender-based human resource development, particularly women's leadership. In fact, the role of women in the pharmaceutical industry is significant, but opportunities for leadership remain very limited. In general, the number of women holding managerial positions in Indonesia in 2010 was around 12%, increasing to around 20% by 2025. Challenges and obstacles are highly dynamic, influenced by many factors, including traditional customs and the still-low level of education for women. The women's emancipation championed is still enjoyed by elite women, so their roles and contributions are still insignificant. Gender issues in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly female leadership, remain a significant issue. Strategies are needed to address this by improving the quality and quantity of female human resources, enabling them to achieve top career positions. Therefore, this research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive design with an ethnographic approach. The author served as one of the primary informants. Therefore, triangulation of data collection methods was necessary, including interviews, documentation, and the vision and mission of female leadership during the researcher's tenure as CEO of a pharmaceutical company in Indonesia. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative methods to describe the phenomenon using an ethnographic approach, reflecting the researcher's actions during her tenure as CEO. The results revealed that the strategies used by female leadership to advance the pharmaceutical business in Indonesia are as follows: a) Self-confidence, equipped with adequate education and experience; b) Readiness to compete objectively with other leaders and aspiring leaders, both male and female; c) Working hard, intelligently, and prioritizing the company's interests; d) Building a solid team; e) Developing a pentahelix-based network; f) Understanding business changes in the pharmaceutical industry; g) Seeking support from top leaders; h) Developing talented human resources. i) Understanding and applying management and leadership skills from global business leaders; and j) adapting to change, especially in the VUCA era of digital advancement.
