Abstract

Financial literacy is an important skill that needs to be introduced from an early age so that children can understand the value of money and manage it wisely. This activity aims to improve basic financial literacy among children at LKSA Santa Anna Bojonegoro through a participatory educational approach. The implementation method included pre tests, interactive material delivery, discussions, and simple case studies on priority scales and budgeting. Of the 37 participants, 20 children aged 8–18 were sampled. The pre-test results showed an average understanding of basic financial literacy concepts of 73.6%. After the activity, there was an increase in understanding, indicated by the participants' ability to differentiate needs from wants, develop spending plans, and foster savings awareness. The facilitator also found that the main issue among participants was self-control over consumptive behavior, which was addressed through reflective exercises and the implementation of strategies for delaying purchasing decisions. This activity was well-received and proven effective in fostering a rational mindset regarding pocket money management. Overall, this socialization of basic financial literacy can be the first step in developing responsible financial habits from an early age.

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped community life by increasing internet dependency in daily communication, financial transactions, and public services. However, this rapid development has also intensified cybersecurity risks, particularly link-based scams and the misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Limited digital literacy at the family level makes communities vulnerable to phishing attacks, personal data breaches, and AI-generated fraud. This community service program aimed to strengthen digital literacy among residents of RW 03 Kalipancur, Semarang, through participatory education focusing on link scam detection and responsible AI usage. The program involved interactive lectures, case discussions, simulations, and pre-test and post-test evaluations with 18 participants from family groups, PKK cadres, and elderly residents. The results showed a significant increase in understanding, from an average pre-test score of 43% to a post-test score of 84%. Beyond knowledge improvement, participants demonstrated increased awareness and behavioral change toward safer digital practices. The findings suggest that community-based participatory approaches effectively enhance family-level digital resilience and can serve as a replicable empowerment model in other communities facing similar digital threats.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out in Dander Village with the aim of increasing the marketability of agricultural products through assistance in branding strategies and digital marketing. The background of this activity stems from the low added value and limited market reach of agricultural products, most of which are still sold without clear branding and have not yet utilized digital media. The program aims to raise farmers’ awareness of the importance of brand identity, enhance their ability to design product branding, and utilize digital platforms for promotion and sales. The implementation methods included planning, socialization and branding training, digital marketing training, implementation assistance, and evaluation. Through this activity, participants were trained to create brand identities, product packaging, business social media accounts, and digital promotional content. The results showed an improvement in participants’ skills in developing branding strategies and managing digital marketing, which led to an average sales increase of 25–30%. This activity demonstrates that proper application of branding and digital marketing can enhance the competitiveness and selling value of local agricultural products in Dander Village.

Abstract

Food Additives (BTP) in current consumer products increase the risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure, and cancer, particularly in children. Housewives play a central role in managing family consumption to minimize these risks. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and awareness of 'Aisyiyah women in Buluspesantren, Kebumen Regency, regarding food safety and BTP regulations. The implementation method included preparing materials based on BPOM regulations, interactive education, product discussions, and simulations on reading nutrition labels. The results showed high enthusiasm from participants who are now more critical in distinguishing between natural and synthetic additives. Participants reported a significant improvement in their ability to identify food ingredients and additives in everyday products. The final evaluation recorded a 22.2-point increase in participant understanding. By establishing the habit of reading food labels, it is expected that the risk of non-communicable diseases within the family environment can be reduced, thus improving public health literacy and dietary choices within the community.
