Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial competence and family support on entrepreneurial interest among vocational high school (SMK) students in Mojokerto, with social environment as a mediating variable. The background of this study is based on the importance of fostering entrepreneurial interest from an early age to encourage the creation of an independent and innovative young generation, as referred to in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The research method used a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique. The research sample consisted of 356 vocational high school students in Mojokerto who were selected purposively. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale that measured the variables of entrepreneurial competence, family support, social environment, and entrepreneurial interest. The results of the analysis showed that entrepreneurial competence had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. Family support was also proven to have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. In addition, the social environment acts as a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of entrepreneurial competence and family support on students' interest in entrepreneurship. These findings confirm that a combination of internal factors (entrepreneurial competence), external factors (family support), and social interaction (social environment) are important elements in building interest in entrepreneurship among vocational high school students. The practical implications of this study are the need to strengthen entrepreneurship learning programs in schools, tangible support from families, and the creation of a conducive social environment to encourage the growth of an entrepreneurial spirit among the younger generation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the impact of education investment on labor productivity in Indonesia over the past ten years. Education investment is viewed as a strategic element in human resource development, which ultimately contributes to national economic growth. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the World Bank, which includes indicators of government spending on education and labor productivity levels. The analytical method used is linear regression to measure the relationship between these variables. The results show that increased investment in the education sector contributes significantly to increased labor productivity. Education not only plays a role in improving skills and technical competencies but also influences individual competitiveness in domestic and global labor markets. These findings strengthen the argument that effective and sustainable education policies are key to accelerating the transformation of a knowledge-based economy. Therefore, the government and stakeholders are expected to strengthen resource allocation and education programs that are more inclusive and relevant to current industry needs.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of depression and hopelessness on suicidal ideation among undergraduates of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The study adopted cross-sectional survey design while purposive sampling technique was used to select the study population. Data were conveniently collected from 200 participants using validated questionnaires and analyzed using zero-order correlation and independent sample t-test statistics and accepted at p <.001 level of significance. The result revealed that depression (r=-.23, p <.00) and hopelessness (r=-.32, p <.001) negatively correlated with suicidal ideation among study participants. Furthermore, both depression [t (197) =-3.65, p < .001] and hopelessness [t(197) = -4.85, p <0.001] significantly contributed to suicidal ideation among study participants. However, there was no gender difference in suicidal ideation among study participants. The study concludes that depression and hopelessness strongly correlated with suicidal ideation among undergraduates of the University of Ibadan. The study recommends that the university authority should have a functional mental health clinic to attend to students diagnosed with suicidal thoughts and other psychological dysfunctions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial knowledge on the intention to start an e-business among students at SMKN Pasuruan, with digital literacy and self-confidence as mediators. The main issues raised are whether entrepreneurial knowledge directly affects the intention to start a business and what role digital literacy and self-confidence play in this process. The method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires from vocational high school students in Pasuruan. The data were analyzed using a path analysis model to test the relationship between the variables studied. This study also adopted a cross-sectional design to see the relationship between variables at a certain point in time. The results show that entrepreneurial knowledge does not have a direct impact on e-business entrepreneurial intention, but it has an indirect effect through self-confidence and digital literacy. In conclusion, increasing self-confidence and digital literacy is very important to encourage entrepreneurial intention, while entrepreneurial knowledge needs to be supported by students' psychological factors and digital capabilities.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of organic rice husk fertilizer on the growth and yield of sorghum plants (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench). This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with the first factor being sorghum plant varieties (V) consisting of 2 levels: the Numbu variety and the Kawali variety. The second factor was rice husk fertilizer (P) consisting of 3 levels: no fertilizer (control). 25 tons ha-1 of rice husk fertilizer. and 50 tons ha-1 of rice husk fertilizer. repeated 3 times. The results of the study showed that there was an interaction between the treatment of variety type and organic fertilizer dose on the parameters of plant height. number of leaves and seed weight of sorghum planting and there was no interaction on panicle length. but singly the treatment of variety type and organic fertilizer dose did not provide a significant effect on the parameters of plant height. number of leaves and panicle length. but did provide a significant effect on sorghum seed weight. The best sorghum plant production results were found in the treatment of the Numbu variety type with an organic fertilizer dose of 50 tons ha-1.
