Global Governance encompasses the world’s political activities and the management of issues and phenomena that occurred on a nation-state, involving contributions from regional to the international environment. In the global security sector, there are numerous efforts carried out by a country to counter such external threats that can cause destabilization. The attempts to control and ensure the use of nuclear has been carried out by enacting international law, resolutions, and multilateral agreements. This research used a qualitative method with analysis based on secondary data, validated by the triangulation technique in this qualitative study. The analytical procedure uses secondary data from journals, media, and literature related to the Iran nuclear agreement and previous analyses discussing the U.S. exit from the JCPOA agreement. The analysis technique performs by arranging the data sequence, organizing the data into a pattern, category, and basic description. This research has found that Global Governance has fundamental weaknesses in its application. Through an analysis of the U.S. exit from the Iran nuclear agreement, it can be said that the reins of control are in the hands of the U.S. The Trump administration’s policy on behalf of the U.S. to leave JCPOA to thwart the achievement of Global Governance and significantly affects the multi-national economic, political, and security order. The implementation of Global Governance and the issues also raised based on the interests of the superpowers.

Abstract

Studies have shown indications of performance improvement due to a training program. In the public sector, this program is highly expected to impact how the officers can demonstrate their capacity to perform their duties well. This program includes a new leadership education and training program called DIKTLAT PIM Model Reformer. This study was aimed at contextually examining the effectiveness of this new model of a training program. This study demonstrated how the basic rule (Regulation of the Head of State Administration Agency Number 13 of 2013 concerning Guidelines for Organizing Level IV Leadership Education and Training) on post-training evaluation was conducted. This current study’s novelty lies in its use of the grounded theory method as an evaluation approach for post-training effectiveness. This current study used the Grounded Theory Method (GTM) and focused on alumni training at the Municipality of Tidore Islands, North Maluku, Indonesia. The results indicated several aspects identified and defined by the alumni concerning the new training program model. The aspects include effectiveness and efficiency improvement, competency measures, leader morality and professionalism, teamwork, source financing, and performance evaluation. This current study enabled its basic regulation on measuring the effectiveness of the training program—DIKTLAT PIM Model Reformer. Future studies are also proposed to overcome this study’s weakness.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tondano (Public Middle School) in understanding the information of a descriptive text. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 28 students of class VII-A. The results showed that implementing the Quick on the Draw strategy in learning to understand descriptive text information created a learning atmosphere that excites students. It allows all students to play active roles during the learning as the nine steps of Quick on the Draw place students as the subject. Students use their potentials to think independently, solve problems jointly, and obtain additional information not provided by the teachers. The final test results showed that from 28 students, 27 students (96.42%) scored above 75, and 1 student (3.58%) below the standard. The ability of students to understand classical descriptive text information was 83, beyond the Minimum Learning Mastery Standard.

Abstract

Secularism has been entering every aspect of life, including a micro-level of financial management of a family. This study sheds light on how religious views can be used to minimize the influence of secularism. This study was mainly aimed at demonstrating how sacred goals in Muslim families, through Sakeenah values, can be used as an antidote to secularism practices in managing family finance. Thirteen contextual characteristics of financial management in eight Muslim families were identified using the Grounded Theory method. These characteristics were used to verify main concepts—basic financial management, family structure, Sakeenah elements, and a form of secularism—usury. Using the Grounded Theory method was also the other aim of this study that demonstrated its use to deepen the interrelation between those four main concepts and those characteristics contextually. Several limitations surfaced after the analyses, and this allowed recommendations for future studies.

Abstract

In the current era of adapting new habits (abbreviated as Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru or AKB), it is an opportunity for the millennial generation to get out of their ‘cage’ and do activities outside the home. This study aims to describe the perception of the millennial generation on the application of adopting new habits during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using a survey research method with descriptive analysis techniques to obtain this description. In this research, millennials are represented by state university students in North Sulawesi Province. The sample of this study was 400 active student respondents. The data was collected through research instruments sent online with the Google Forms application. The study results indicate that millennials are worried when implementing new habit adaptations when they are active outside the home. The research results also show that the first thing they want to do is go to a house of worship. Millennials in North Sulawesi also perceive an excellent level of trust in local and central governments in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. It can be concluded that millennials in North Sulawesi are optimistic about their future sustainability.

This study involved 210 staff from educational institutions. A total of 191 survey questionnaires were returned, and 121 were eligible. According to hierarchical regression analysis, the result indicated that PO-Fit had a positive effect on psychological ownership (?=0.42, t=4.81), psychological ownership had a positive effect on support for change (?=0.26, t=4.01) and OCB (?=0.21, t=3.12). Abstract

This research examines what ideologies Film Television (FTv) offered during the COVID-19 pandemic and how these ideologies developed in the FTv using framing analysis and a gender perspective approach. Results indicate that there are two hidden ideologies as follows. First, the FTv production house carries a patriarchal ideology by raising themes that discriminate against women through stereotypes against women that appear in the story. Second, the FTv production house carries the ideology of feminism, with themes that position women as superordinate. Women occupy a higher social class than men. Women determine their own lives; even women have power over men. Academically, these findings are expected to add to the theoretical study in the sociology of communication and media research on how the power of knowledge in FTv affects the audience and contributes information, and enriches the development of research on gender relations and violence.
