Abstract

Political communication based on Pancasila values serves as a crucial foundation for developing ethical and effective digital campaign strategies in Indonesia. The advancement of technology has transformed political campaigns from face-to-face interactions into digital engagements through social media, websites, and messaging applications. This study aims to analyze the application of Pancasila principles in digital political campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness in fostering ethical, people-centered political communication. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs content analysis of digital campaign materials from various political parties. The findings indicate that campaigns emphasizing values such as unity, humanity, social justice, and deliberation can enhance public participation, particularly among younger voters. Key success factors include information transparency, open dialogue, polite language use, and the provision of objective political education. Pancasila-based digital campaigns also help mitigate social polarization and strengthen public trust in the democratic process. Therefore, this model of political communication is worth adopting as a campaign approach that not only seeks electoral support but also reinforces a substantial and dignified democracy.

Abstract

The implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) adopted by the World Trade Organization (WTO) since 2017 aims to reduce administrative barriers in international trade and improve the efficiency of the export-import process. By ratifying the TFA through Law No. 17/2017, Indonesia is expected to optimize trade and customs procedures, speed up the movement of goods, and reduce trade costs, which in turn supports economic growth and exports. The TFA includes simplification, modernization, and harmonization of export-import procedures, which are expected to provide significant benefits, especially for developing countries such as Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the implementation of trade facilitation in Indonesia. The research method used is normative legal research, which examines legal data sourced from literature (secondary legal materials). The implementation of this agreement has shown positive impacts, including reduced trade costs and increased export access, especially for small and medium enterprises. The Indonesian government, through the ratification of the TFA, aims to facilitate global trade by increasing transparency and efficiency in the export-import mechanism.

Abstract

One of the changes experienced by humans is communication technology. Along with the development of the era, communication technology has also developed massively until it reached the digital era like today. However, this development does not always have a positive impact. One of the negative impacts that arises is the violation of the right to privacy. The right to privacy that will be discussed is in the form of personal data. Legal problems related to personal data are one of them shown in the rampant buying and selling of personal data that occurred in Indonesia. The incident was suspected of being to attract the interest of marketing personnel. Through international instruments, the constitution, and its legislation, Indonesia has had a number of regulations related to the protection of the right to privacy in the form of personal data. However, of course, in its implementation there are still challenges and obstacles. The research method used in compiling this scientific article is the literature study method (normative juridical). Although Indonesia has many laws that regulate the protection of the right to privacy, regulations related to this matter have not yet fully succeeded in securing individual personal data properly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Marketing Communication Strategy for Teman Bus Mamminasata Transportation Services on Social Media in Makassar City. The method used is the Qualitative Method using data collection techniques through interviews and documentation, while the targets of this study are the transportation agency, passengers, and the community. The results of this study indicate that the application of Communication Strategy to Teman Bus Maminasata transportation services through social media has not been carried out systematically. It can be seen in several posts on Teman Bus Mamminasata social media accounts that were updated 2 years ago, although the marketing strategy carried out by the transportation agency is in the form of public socialization through forums, visits and events, but this does not affect public interest in using Teman Bus Mamminasata. Therefore, the application of marketing strategies through social media can help managers to easily disseminate information related to tutorials on using Teman Bus Maminasata, as well as the routes taken by this public transportation.

Abstract

This article discusses the social phenomenon related to using Siger Lampung as one of the cultural attributes typical of the Lampung region. Currently, the use of Siger Lampung is increasingly varied, ranging from clothing, decoration, and public facilities to commercial places. Siger, which is currently more often used in the context of architecture and design, requires adjustments that some traditional and cultural figures may not approve of. This adjustment also requires a careful approach to ensure that the essence of its culture is not lost and can continue to survive. Given these obstacles and challenges, the community and government need to work together on the importance of maintaining Siger as an integral part of Lampung culture. Through support through education, promotion, and cultural initiatives, Siger can remain a symbol of recognition in this modern era. This study aims to analyze the role of Siger Lampung in preserving traditions and cultural adaptation in a multi-ethnic society. By understanding the dynamics of Siger use, this cultural symbol is expected to function as a uniform tool and collective identity in various communities.

Abstract

This analysis discusses the political communication strategy of presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) in the 2024 Presidential Election through a discourse analysis of their campaign advertisements. This campaign utilizes various propaganda techniques such as glittering generalities, plain folks, transfer, and contrast framing to shape political images, strengthen emotional connections with voters, and implicitly criticize political opponents. Symbols of the people and religiosity are used strategically to create social identification and legitimacy in the eyes of the public, especially traditional Muslim voters. In addition, the strategy of political public relations and the use of social media, including TikTok Live, show how the modern campaign approach has shifted towards digitalization and more targeted message segmentation. This analysis underlines the importance of emotional, symbolic, and inclusive communication narratives to avoid social fragmentation and shows that contemporary political campaigns are not only about conveying information, but also about strategic symbolic influence and imaging in the digital era.

Abstract

To determine the effectiveness of using digital communication platforms on social relations among adolescents at SMK Negeri 2 Binjai is the aim of this study. Simple linear regression analysis is the method used. Simple linear regression analysis was conducted after the classical acceptance test. This is to first ensure that the model does not have problems with normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. 30 young people from SMK Negeri 2 Binjai as the population in this study. Based on the results above, we can see that the coefficient of determination (R2) value is 0.60 or 60%. Therefore, this value means that the variables in the use of digital communication platforms have a 60% impact on social relationships, and the remaining 40% of other variables not discussed in this study are affected. To get meaning and satisfaction from digital communication, we can approach this means of interaction with intention and authenticity. Text messages are edited many times and sent to several friends to be edited before finally being sent to the recipient do not always fully represent our true feelings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the advertorial writing styles of two major Indonesian online media outlets: Detik.com and Kompas.com. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study examines the text structure, use of journalistic language, and application of the 5W+1H elements in each media’s advertorials. The analysis reveals that Detik.com tends to employ longer, information-dense, and technical sentences, while Kompas.com uses a more formal, informative, and concise writing style. These differences reflect the editorial strategies and target audience segmentation of each media outlet. This research contributes to the field of mass communication by providing insights into the dynamics of advertorial content as a hybrid form between journalism and marketing.

Abstract

Restoration for victims of criminal acts is an essential aspect of the judicial system that is often overlooked. Law enforcement efforts tend to focus on perpetrators, while victims' rights, including physical, psychological, and financial recovery, remain neglected. The case of Een's murder and arson serves as an example where restitution and compensation rights were not clearly accommodated in legal proceedings. This article aims to examine the legal procedures available to victims or their families in obtaining restoration rights. The discussion includes criminal law aspects such as restitution and compensation based on Law No. 13 of 2006 jo. Law No. 31 of 2014 on Witness and Victim Protection, as well as the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Additionally, this article highlights the civil law route through lawsuits based on Article 1365 of the Civil Code regarding unlawful acts (KUHAPER). With a normative juridical approach and internship experience at the Legal Consultation and Assistance Clinic of Trunojoyo Madura University, this article is expected to contribute to strengthening victims' rights within the Indonesian legal system through the available legal avenues, both criminal and civil.

Abstract

Sexual harassment cases in university environments have become a serious issue that not only harms victims physically and psychologically but also undermines academic and humanitarian values. This article aims to analyze the implementation of legal aid services in addressing criminal acts of sexual harassment within higher education institutions, particularly in terms of victim protection, legal assistance, and the restoration of victims’ rights. This study employs an empirical or socio-legal approach by examining existing legal regulations and the practical implementation of legal services by campus-based legal aid institutions. The findings reveal that although several universities have established task forces or sexual violence service units, their implementation still faces challenges such as limited resources, low legal awareness, and a prevailing culture of silence among students. Therefore, institutional strengthening, continuous awareness campaigns, and victim-centered campus policies are necessary to ensure comprehensive access to justice. Legal aid services must not only be reactive but also preventive and educational, as part of a broader effort to create a safe and violence-free academic environment.
