Abstract

This research discusses the attitude of moderation in fighting radicalism movements, especially in Indonesia. Why is this research interesting to discuss? Radicalism movements must be stemmed by education and understanding of the diversity of religious understandings in Indonesia. Therefore, the author offers Ibn Rushd's thoughts and personality as a famous philosopher. In historical records, Ibnu Rushd was a scholar who never attacked personally and accused his opponents of deviations in religious understanding. The moderation attitude shown by Ibnu Rushd can be used as an example in forming the character of Muslims in Indonesia. In terms of methodology, this article is a type of library research. Next, the author explores data from Ibn Rushd's books and uses a philosophical approach with content analysis. According to Ibnu Rushd, a scholar must have some essential personality traits of moderation. There are three parts: before, in, and after thinking. Before thinking, a scholar must have a personality that is open, honest, curious, skeptical, brave and patient. The ulama's personality in thinking is speculative, willing to be guided by experience and reason, willing to accept, ready to face mistakes and brave in making decisions. Furthermore, his personality after thinking about it was a tolerant and forgiving person

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to deepen our understanding of paradigm shifts in education and the importance of adopting an independent curriculum as an innovative solution. Through in-depth research and discussion, it is hoped that this journal can provide insight and inspiration for education practitioners, researchers and policy makers to move towards a more relevant, inclusive and adaptive education. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research case studies at schools in the Probolinggo district. Paradigm shifts in education are becoming increasingly important due to world demands that continue to grow, both in terms of economic, social, and technology. The traditional educational model, which focuses on instruction-based learning and factual knowledge, is no longer sufficient to face complex and multidimensional future challenges. Paradigm shifts in education refer to fundamental changes in the way we view and carry out the learning process. Traditional paradigms that focus on factual knowledge, academic achievement, and teacher-centred learning have proven insufficient to prepare young people for a changing world. In the era of globalization and technological revolution, the need for 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication and digital literacy is becoming increasingly important.

Where the long-term planning of Islamic boarding schools is implied in the vision of Islamic boarding schools which is actualized in the Islamic boarding school learning curriculum with the grouping at each level of the santri learning level which consists of the ibtida level, the mutawasit level and the mutaqodim level. With an evaluation system through the rote deposit method, imtihan and semester evaluations to be followed up which results in an increase in the learning level of the students. The educational model of the Riyadlussharfi Walmantiq Islamic Boarding School is integrated with formal education starting from PAUD, TK/RA, SMP/MTS, MA and Higher Education.
