Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still high compared to other ASEAN countries. MMR in Indonesia according to the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) is 305 per 100,000 live births. The global target of SDGs (Suitainable Development Goals) is to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) to 70 per 100,000 live births. While in Jambi Province in 2017 recorded maternal deaths were 29 cases. Maternal deaths that occur during 90% of pregnancy are caused by obstetric complications. Direct obstetric complications are bleeding, infection and eclampsia. Indirectly maternal mortality is also influenced by delays at the family level in recognizing danger signs of pregnancy and making decisions to immediately seek help. Delay in reaching health facilities and assistance in health service facilities. Pregnancy danger signs must be recognized and detected early so that they can be handled properly because any danger signs of pregnancy can lead to pregnancy complications. Therefore it is necessary to provide counseling to improve the knowledge of pregnant women about the danger signs of pregnancy. This community service activity was carried out by Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi Public Health Center. The time of implementation in April 2020. The target is pregnant women. Community service methods include a survey and lecture approach. The results obtained are pregnant women able to understand the danger signs of pregnancy. It is recommended for health workers to continue to provide education related to pregnancy to pregnant women

Abstract

Excessive nausea and vomiting result in a weak body, pale face and the frequency of urination decreases drastically so that body fluids are reduced, blood becomes thick (hemoconcentration) and can slow down blood circulation which means that oxygen consumption and tissue food are also reduced. The first trimester is the period when the fetus is in the early stages of the formation of body organs, if the mother suffers from excessive nausea and vomiting, it will result in the mother's nutrition not being met, this has a bad impact on the developing fetus, including causing slow fetal growth and BBLR. One of the non-pharmacological treatments to reduce nausea and vomiting is acupressure. Acupressure therapy to reduce nausea and vomiting is carried out by manually pressing on the pericardium 6 (PC 6) point in the wrist area.  The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women in the first trimester about reducing nausea and vomiting with Pericardium 6 (Pc 6) acupressure. The activity method, carried out from February to August 2023 at PBM Yustati Ambarita, Jambi City, is a form of educational activity for pregnant women in the first trimester. After the education, a posttest was carried out using the same questionnaire with the pretest. The results of the education showed an increase in maternal knowledge after participating in the education. Before the education, 11 mothers had good knowledge and 19 mothers had poor knowledge. After education, all mothers have good knowledge about pericardium acupressure to overcome nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester.

Abstract

During pregnancy, there will be various changes in the mother, both physiologically and psychologically. These changes are largely due to the influence of hormones, namely the increase in the hormones estrogen and progesterone produced by the corpus luteum which develops into the corpus gravidity and continues its secretion by the placenta after it is fully formed. This causes the mother to feel uncomfortable during pregnancy and triggers stress, which is a sign that the mother is often gloomy. Pregnancy exercise is a form of physical activity that is beneficial because it develops body muscles, increases the elasticity of the pelvic muscles and ligaments and reduces the incidence of bleeding during and after childbirth and can reduce the incidence of fetal distress. Target Output The results of this educational activity on knowledge of physiological changes in pregnant women will also be published in the form of a national scientific journal so that it can be accessed by the public. This community service activity is carried out at the Putri Puskesmas Au Kota Jambi. Implementation time in January 2020. The target in this activity is pregnant women in the third trimester in the work area of the Putri Ayu Community Health Center, Jambi City. The results obtained are that pregnant women are able to understand the benefits of pregnancy exercise. It is recommended that pregnant women participate more frequently in activities that provide knowledge for mothers by attending other health education programs so that they can increase their knowledge

Abstract

Babies and toddlers healthy is one of the determinants of the health development index in Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the causes of infant mortality in nutritional factors. This cause of death can be prevented by breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding for up to 6 months can reduce infant morbidity and mortality from diarrhea until 2 years old and breastfeeding for 2 years of an infant's life is a key of intervention to reduce morbidity and mortality. Failure of exclusive breastfeeding is partly due to the perception of insufficient breast milk. Insufficient breast milk production can also be caused by nutritional and hormonal factors. In Indonesia, there are many plants that are believed to increase breast milk production, including katuk leaves, Moringa leaves and papaya leaves. The lack of knowledge of mothers about the utilization of local plants that can increase breast milk production makes mothers increasingly reluctant to provide exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this education is to increase mothers knowledge. Education was carried out in Talang Bukit Village on February 7, 2022 which was carried out in person and online through whatsApp groups in yasinan groups and women's organizations in Talang Bukit Village. The activity began with a pretest, then the implementation of education for ± 50 minutes through lectures, discussions and questions and answers delivered using ppt. After the material persentation, a posttest was conducted again with the same questions as the prestest. The results obtained were an increase in the mean knowledge of 2.87. This means that the implementation of this education is proven to change the knowledge of WUS about the use of moringa leaves to increase breast milk production towards a better direction.

Abstract

ODHA are people with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome). Changes in the character of ODHA cannot be separated from psychological and social pressure and make many ODHA become depressed. The psychological and social pressure experienced by ODHA also has a negative impact so that ODHA become embarrassed, physically exhausted, limit their activities, are afraid, and don't know what to do in the future. The treatment used to deal with these problems is still based on cognitive therapy and has not been integrated with awareness of ODHA. Apart from that, the therapy carried out does not yet enable ODHA to be able to deal with the problems they experience in the long term. To overcome this problem, intervention is needed aimed at ODHA which is carried out independently based on self-awareness, namely spiritual mindfulness therapy. Mindfulness as a type of psychotherapy facilitated by nurses uses the concept of self-care theory where nurses become nursing agencies to facilitate the self-deficit experienced by ODHA who experience mental problems. Educational activities were carried out from December 2021 to February 2022, providing education to 23 participants for 30 minutes through lectures, discussions and questions and answers. Delivery of material using power point and leaflet media. During the activities carried out, the pre-test results were 6.04 and post-test 7.43. ODHA patients understand mindfulness therapy as an alternative therapy that calms emotions. The patient's response was feeling relieved and comfortable after participating in therapy.
