Abstract

The development of financial technology through online lending services (commonly known as pinjol) has significantly improved access to credit. However, it has also raised serious concerns regarding the protection of personal data. This research aims to analyze the legal protection against the misuse of personal data of online loan recipients based on Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law), and to examine its implications for the principles of digital legal justice in Indonesia. This study uses a normative juridical approach with descriptive-analytical methods supported by literature review on national regulations, relevant cases, and digital legal theory. The findings indicate that while the PDP Law provides a comprehensive legal foundation for the rights of data subjects and sanctions for violations, its implementation in the online lending sector faces structural and cultural obstacles. The high number of personal data misuse cases by illegal loan providers, weak regulatory oversight, and low digital literacy among users hinder the realization of substantial protection for victims. This condition reflects a gap between legal norms and actual protection in the digital space. Therefore, institutional strengthening, regulatory improvement, and increased digital legal literacy are essential to achieving digital justice that is both humane and effective in protecting the rights of all citizens.

Abstract

Food security is a strategic aspect of national development, including in Boyolali Regency, where most of the community depends on the agricultural sector. However, fulfilling food security often faces challenges, one of which is the disturbance caused by long-tailed macaque populations that damage community food crops in Kembangsari Village, Musuk District, thereby threatening local food stability. Regional Regulation of Boyolali Regency Number 4 of 2019 concerning Food Security serves as the legal basis for the regional government in ensuring food availability and accessibility, as well as an instrument for addressing issues that disrupt food production, including pest attacks from monkeys. This research employs an empirical juridical approach with a descriptive qualitative type, using literature study and interviews with the Boyolali Environmental Agency to obtain an overview of the implementation of Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2019 related to food security and the handling of monkey disturbances. The results indicate that the local government has undertaken efforts to control the monkey population through relocation, castration, the release of owls, the installation of physical barriers, and community education. However, the effectiveness of the regulation's implementation remains suboptimal due to limited resources, inter-agency coordination, and the community's level of awareness in supporting the handling programs. Monkey disturbances continue to occur, resulting in decreased crop yields, reduced farmers' income, and hindering household food security. Therefore, an integrated strategy involving local government, BKSDA, and the community is needed to strengthen the implementation of the Food Security Regional Regulation, with measurable technical steps in population control, continuous education, and increased community participation so that the goal of sustainable food security in Kembangsari Village can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of violence committed by educators against students, focusing on Court Decision Number 104/Pid.sus/2024/PN Adl involving Supriyani, an honorary teacher at SD Negeri 4 Baito, South Konawe Regency. The case presents a dilemma between disciplining students and the boundaries set by criminal law and child protection statutes. The aim of this research is to examine the legal considerations of the judges in reaching their verdict and to analyze the extent to which legal protection can be applied to teachers accused of violence. This study uses a normative juridical method with a qualitative descriptive approach, relying on secondary data such as statutory regulations, court decisions, and legal literature. The findings reveal that the panel of judges declared the defendant not legally and convincingly proven guilty. The legal reasoning was based on the weakness of the evidence, inconsistencies in child witness testimonies, and the absence of strong forensic medical proof. The research highlights the need for careful judgment in cases involving children as victims and teachers as defendants to prevent the misuse of legal instruments in criminalizing educators. Simultaneously, the protection of children remains a core priority within Indonesia’s legal system. These findings emphasize the urgency for clear ethical guidelines and regulatory frameworks for teachers to implement discipline without violating children's rights. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of educational law and the legal protection of educators in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the juridical aspects of the annulment of a birth certificate issued due to verification errors in the digital-based population administration system, focusing on the Decision of the Administrative Court (PTUN) of Yogyakarta Number 19/G/2020/PTUN/YK. In this case, the birth certificate under the name of Setyowati was issued by the Civil Registration and Population Service (Dukcapil) of Bantul Regency by listing her grandmother as her biological mother. This error not only raised administrative issues but also potentially affected the civil inheritance rights of legitimate heirs. This research employs a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach, supported by a literature review, analysis of statutory regulations, the principles of good governance (AUPB), the doctrine of material truth, and an in-depth review of the court’s decision. The findings reveal that the Defendant (Dukcapil), who only conducted administrative verification through the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) without factual examination, violated the principles of accuracy, legal certainty, and justice. The panel of judges emphasized that a birth certificate as a state legal product must reflect material truth, not merely the formal completeness of documents. This decision not only annulled a legally flawed birth certificate but also highlighted the urgency of reforming verification systems in digital-based population administration services. The existing system must be supported by competent and ethical human resources, field verification mechanisms, and effective internal supervision to prevent data manipulation that may harm other parties. This study is expected to provide an academic contribution to the development of administrative law, as well as a practical reference for public service institutions to strengthen accuracy, accountability, and fairness in issuing population documents.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital marketing in the development of the Kripik Tette (Tweet Chips) MSME in Lebbek Village, Pakong District, Pamekasan Regency. Kripik Tette, a traditional Madurese culinary specialty, has significant potential to become a regional flagship product due to its unique manufacturing process, the abundant use of local cassava as the raw material, and its distinctive, authentic flavor. However, the development of this product still faces several obstacles, including limited market access, MSMEs' limited understanding of digital marketing strategies, and the use of simple packaging. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method through interviews, observations, and documentation of MSMEs. The results indicate that the implementation of digital marketing, particularly through social media, can increase product appeal, expand market reach, and strengthen the branding of the Nira Tweet Chips. Simple training provided to MSMEs has been shown to improve skills in creating promotional content, product packaging, and interacting with consumers. Although still facing obstacles such as limited internet access and a lack of utilization of digital marketing features, this mentoring effort has had a positive impact on increasing the capacity of entrepreneurs. Thus, digital marketing plays a crucial role in encouraging the development of tette chips MSMEs, both economically and as an effort to preserve local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of social media in increasing brand awareness in e-commerce businesses in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review method, this study analyzed various scientific publications from 2019-2024. The results of the study indicate that social media plays a significant role in increasing brand awareness by up to 67% through two-way interactions, the spread of viral content, and broad audience reach. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook are the primary choices, with visual content generating 94% higher engagement than text content. Key strategies identified include creative content marketing, influencer marketing with a focus on micro-influencers, social media advertising with precise targeting, and data analytics-based effectiveness measurement. Micro-influencers have been shown to have a 60% higher engagement rate than mega-influencers due to their authenticity and closeness to the audience. Short videos (15-60 seconds) can increase brand awareness by up to 80%, while retargeting ads have a 70% higher conversion rate. Challenges faced include changes in platform algorithms, intense content competition, fake followers, and building trust in the digital era. This research provides theoretical contributions to the study of digital marketing communications and practical benefits for e-commerce players in designing effective and adaptive social media strategies to the dynamics of digital consumer behavior.

Abstract

The use of public assets as collateral in modern financingcreates an urgent need for a perfection mechanism that canguarantee legal certainty for creditors, the state, and third parties. In thecontext of financial market globalisation, countries are required to ensure that everysecurity interest granted on public assets has a transparent status, isverifiable, and is able to enforce the principle of priority. A comparative study betweenIndonesia, Singapore, and Austria shows substantial differencesin the registration regime, public notification mechanism, priority position, and constitutional restrictions related to the use of public assets as collateral. This article analyses the perfection mechanisms applicable ineach jurisdiction, covering the stages of registration, publicnotice, possession, and control mechanisms. The analysis shows that Indonesia still faces serious problemsin the form of legal fragmentation, the absence of a centralised registry, andunclear restrictions on the non-alienation of public assets. Meanwhile, Singaporehas developed an integrated system based on notice filing through ACRA, whichis oriented towards efficiency and transparency, while Austriaemphasises creditor protection through the Registerpfandrecht system, whichcombines the requirements of authentic deeds and formal public registration. This study recommends the establishment of a centralised security registration agency, reform of constitutional restrictions on public assets, andharmonisation of national perfection mechanisms with international practicesto support strategic government financing.
