Abstract

This study examines the influence of the concept of Islamization of knowledge on the paradigm and formulation of Islamic economic policy in an era of globalization dominated by secular capitalist neoliberalism. The main issue raised is the research gap in the form of limited practical application of the Islamization of science which has so far been more epistemological and institutional in nature to the formulation of trade, fiscal, and monetary policies based on the principles of tawhid, maqasid sharia, and the values of justice and balance. The objectives of this research are to analyze how the ideas of Islamization of knowledge from figures such as al-Attas and al-Faruqi influence the framework of Islamic economic policy, identify its implications for contemporary policy, and formulate a strategic model to overcome implementation challenges amid global dynamics. The research uses a qualitative approach through library research with thematic content analysis of primary sources (the Qur'an, Hadith, works of Islamic thinkers) and secondary sources (journals and current literature). The results show that the Islamization of knowledge produces a holistic alternative economic paradigm, integrating tauhid, khilafah, rububiyyah, and tazkiyah into monetary (profit-loss sharing), fiscal (ZISWAF), and real sector policies, and offers a strategic model based on maqasid sharia to achieve economic justice, inclusiveness, and sustainability in the era of globalization. Keywords : Economic Globalization, Islamic Economics, Islamization of Science, Economic Policy, Maqasid Sharia

Abstract

This study aims to systematically describe the perceptions of Islamic bank customers in Indonesia regarding the factors that influence their interest in using Islamic bank financing, which include trust, promotion, service quality, and Islamic religiosity, using a descriptive statistical approach. An exploratory descriptive approach was used in this study. The research sample consisted of 538 Islamic bank customers in Indonesia who were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics to describe the characteristics of the respondents and their perceptions of the research variables through minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation values. The research findings show that trust, promotion, service quality, and Islamic religiosity are in the high category with relatively homogeneous perceptions among respondents, thus playing a significant role in encouraging customer interest in Islamic bank financing. The low standard deviation value also indicates that the influence of these four variables is positive and relatively stable among respondents. This study contributes theoretically to the study of Islamic banking in Indonesia and has practical implications as a guide for Islamic banks, particularly BSI, in increasing the interest of young customers aged 20–25 years, the majority of whom are students, in Islamic financing. Keywords : Sharia bank, interest, financing, strategy

Abstract

Optimizing asset utilization is a strategic component of hospital management, as it directly influences operational efficiency and service quality. The effectiveness of asset management is determined not only by the availability of asset management systems but also by the quality of employees involved in planning, maintenance, documentation, and supervision. This study aims to analyze the role of employee quality in the implementation of asset maintenance governance and the optimization of asset utilization at RSI Jakarta Cempaka Putih. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving key informants from management, supporting units, technicians, and asset users. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews, and analyzed using Braun Clarke’s (2006) thematic analysis method. The study concludes that employee quality is a dominant factor linking effective asset maintenance to optimized asset utilization. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening human resource competence through technical training, certification, performance evaluation, and digitalization of asset management to support the sustainability of hospital operations. This research is expected to serve as a foundation for developing more comprehensive, employee-based asset management policies and strategies within RSI Jakarta Cempaka Putih. Keywords : Employee Quality, Asset Management, Asset Maintenance, Asset Optimization, Hospital, RSI Jakarta Cempaka Putih.

Abstract

The research measures the economic uncertainty variable using World Uncertainty Index (WUI) and uses three proxies of bank risk (bank default risk, bank leverage risk, and bank portfolio risk) to assess its becoming effect on the stability of Indonesia banks. In an analysis based on panel data and a combination of fixed and random effects models, the study aims to reflect how world economic uncertainty influences bank stability in Indonesia. The results however indicate that economic uncertainty shows no influence towards all bank risk aspects, which consists of default risk, leverage risk, and portfolio risk, based on the 5 percent significance level.  This result implies that Indonesian banks are generally quite resistant from the direct impact of economic uncertainty relating to credit default risk, leverage risk, and portfolio risk. This research paper also takes into consideration the structural characteristics of banks that would be important predictors of this bank stability risk in these dimensions, namely, loan share, income diversification, liquidity and commission-based income. Keywords : Bank Stability, Economic Uncertainty, Financial Resilience, World Uncertainty Index (WUI)

Abstract

The growth of the global Muslim market is driving an increase in demand for halal tourism; the SGIE Report 2024/25 notes that Muslim outbound travel spending amounted to US$ 217 billion (2023) and is projected to reach US$ 384 billion by 2028 (CAGR 12.1%). This study aims to analyze Indonesia's position in Muslim-friendly travel, compare it with Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, and identify the drivers/barriers to ecosystem-based competitiveness. The analysis uses the Global Islamic Economy Indicator (GIEI) framework, which is a weighted composite index with 52 metrics in five dimensions (financial, regulatory, awareness, social, innovation). The methods used are literature study and comparative analysis of SGIE 2024/25 data and scientific references related to the concepts of halal tourism and Muslim-friendly tourism. The results show that Malaysia leads the Muslim-Friendly Travel sector (136.8), followed by Indonesia (102.4) and Saudi Arabia (91.1), which is in line with the 2024 GMTI, which ranks Indonesia and Malaysia at the top, while Saudi Arabia is in the next position. Malaysia's excellence is supported by policy integration, standardization/certification, and promotion; Saudi Arabia excels in religious demand and investment acceleration; while Indonesia is strong in destination potential, but needs to strengthen service standardization, global promotion, digital innovation, and ecosystem coordination to improve competitiveness. Keywords : SGIE, GIEI, pariwisata halal, Muslim-friendly tourism, Indonesia

Abstract

This study examines the effects of Islamic financial literacy, income, and risk perception on investment interest in Islamic mutual funds, as well as the role of Islamic religiosity as a moderating variable. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, with data collected through an online questionnaire from 316 Muslim respondents in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that Islamic financial literacy, income, and Islamic religiosity have a positive and significant effect on investment interest in Islamic mutual funds, with income identified as the most dominant factor. In contrast, risk perception does not significantly influence investment interest. The findings also indicate that Islamic religiosity does not act as a moderating variable but has a direct effect on investment interest. The proposed model explains 46.8% of the variance in investment interest. These findings suggest that investment decisions in Islamic mutual funds are driven more by financial capability and religious values than by risk considerations, highlighting the importance of strengthening Islamic financial literacy and expanding access to Islamic mutual fund products. Keywords: Islamic financial literacy, income, risk perception, Islamic religiosity, investment interest.

Abstract

The development of halal tourism in Indonesia holds significant potential to drive national economic growth, especially in the era of disruption characterized by rapid technological advancement, shifting consumer preferences, and dynamic global trends. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges in developing the halal tourism sector as a strategic effort to enhance Indonesia's economic competitiveness. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, based on literature review and secondary data from official sources. The findings indicate that the opportunities for developing halal tourism include: the growing number of global Muslim travelers, supportive government regulations, and Indonesia's advantage as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. However, several challenges remain, such as limited supporting infrastructure, uneven halal certification standards, low industry awareness of halal tourism concepts, and intensifying global competition. Therefore, a collaborative strategy between the government, industry stakeholders, and the community is essential to optimize halal tourism’s potential as a key driver of Indonesia’s economy in the disruptive era. This study is expected to contribute to policy formulation and sustainable tourism practices based on halal values. Keywords : halal tourism, Indonesian economy, disruptive era, opportunities, challenges, sustainable tourism

Abstract

This study examines packaging design improvements to enhance storage and distribution efficiency in supply chains, with a focus on Indonesia as a developing country. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 10 international journals (2020–2025), the research identifies key strategies such as volumetric analysis, stacked pallet load units (SPLUs), interlock stacking, and lean warehousing. Findings indicate that space utilization can be increased by up to 67%, with cost reductions of 15–25%. However, implementation faces challenges due to Indonesia’s high humidity, limited recycling infrastructure, and lack of packaging standardization. The study concludes that a phased approach—prioritizing operational efficiency before integrating environmental sustainability—is most feasible for the Indonesian context. Practical recommendations are provided for industry, policymakers, and future research. Keywords: packaging design optimization, storage efficiency, sustainable logistics, supply chain management, Indonesia logistics
