Abstract

The problem faced, especially in Indonesian language subjects, is that student learning outcomes in class are unsatisfactory, this is because the method of delivering material uses the lecture method which makes students bored and the learning process becomes uninteresting and monotonous. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Role Reversal Questions learning method on students' critical thinking abilities in class X Indonesian language subjects at SMKN 3 Mataram for the 2022/2023 academic year. The data collection method used in this research is tests as the main method, observation and documentation as complementary methods. The data analysis technique uses the t-test formula. In accordance with the results of the t-test calculation obtained through analysis, namely t-count = 3.88. Meanwhile, the t-table value is 1.706 with a significance level = 5%, namely 0.05%, with db = N-1 = 27-1= 26, which is 1.706. Thus it can be seen that the calculated t-value is greater than the t-table value (3.88>1.706). This means that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted which states that there is an influence of the Role Reversal Questions Learning Method on Students' Critical Thinking Ability in Class X Indonesian Language Subjects at SMKN 3 Mataram for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. So it can be concluded that the results of this research are "significant".

As for the results of data analysis, the rxy value was at (0.33), while for the rtable value at the 0.05 significance level it was (0.239). Because rcount > rtable (0.33 > 0.239), this means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So the results of this research show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and stress in adolescents at MA NW Putra Narmada . Significant".

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of reinforcement in behaviorist-based learning within the Merdeka Curriculum, aimed at enhancing student motivation and engagement for 21st-century learning. Using a quasi-experimental approach with mixed methods, the research involves classroom observations, student questionnaires, and teacher interviews. Findings indicate that positive reinforcement significantly boosts student motivation, particularly when tailored to individual characteristics. However, excessive positive reinforcement risks undermining intrinsic motivation. Negative reinforcement, such as task reduction, can improve student engagement, though it requires careful application to avoid fostering dependency on external support. In inclusive classrooms, reinforcement strategies need to accommodate diverse student needs and abilities. This study suggests that reinforcement within the Merdeka Curriculum should be personalized and balanced, supporting student-centered, independent learning aligned with long-term educational goals.

This study discusses seven educational psychology figures who made fundamental contributions to the understanding of the learning process and human cognitive development. These figures include Jean Piaget with his theory of cognitive development, Lev Vygotsky with his sociocultural theory, B.F. Skinner with behaviorism and programmed learning, Jerome Bruner with his theory of discovery learning, John Dewey with the concept of learning by doing, Howard Gardner with his theory of multiple intelligences, and David Ausubel with his theory of meaningful learning. Each of these theories offers a unique perspective on how humans learn and develop, which has shaped the foundation of modern educational practices. These theories complement one another and provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the learning process from various viewpoints: cognitive, social, behavioral, and constructivist.
