Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited opportunities available for children to actualize their religious potential at the Islamic educational institutions TPQ Nahdlatush Shibyan and MDTU 04 Miftahul Huda in Pagerdawung Village, Ringinarum District, Kendal Regency. The study aimed to analyze the Festival Anak Sholeh (FAS) as a platform for actualizing children's religious potential through participatory and educational activities. A Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach was employed, comprising five stages: social preparation through human-centric communication, community research and social problem diagnosis, planning, political action, and reflection. Identification with partners revealed that while the children received regular religious instruction, they lacked an optimal space to openly practice and demonstrate their religious capabilities. This situation was addressed by organizing the FAS, which included training, preparatory sessions, and practical activities. The festival involved 100 children from TPQ Nahdlatush Shibyan and MDTU 04 Miftahul Huda, competing in three categories: memorization based on TPQ grade levels, Juz Amma memorization, and Tartil of the Qur’an. The findings indicate that the FAS served as a venue for children to actualize their religious potential by reading, memorizing, and reciting the Qur’an, as well as showcasing their Islamic knowledge in public. Children's involvement in the series of activities provided opportunities to practice, perform, compete positively, and receive appreciation for their abilities. Thus, the Festival Anak Sholeh functioned not merely as a competition, but as an educational and participatory space that enabled children to actualize their religious potential while strengthening the engagement of Islamic educational institutions and the community in fostering the children's religious development.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires students to continuously improve their knowledge and skills to adapt to ongoing changes. This community service activity aimed to increase students' understanding of lifelong learning and strengthen their digital literacy in facing digital transformation. The program was conducted on November 21, 2025, at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Manbaul Qur'an, Jombang, Ciputat, South Tangerang City, Banten. The activity adopted a participatory approach through socialization, discussion, practical sessions, and mentoring. The target participants were 27 students, with 14 students attending the program. The results showed that participants gained a better understanding of lifelong learning, improved their awareness of responsible digital technology use, and became more motivated to utilize digital media as learning resources. The mentoring activities also enhanced participants' confidence in accessing educational resources through digital platforms. This program successfully strengthened a sustainable learning culture and improved students' readiness to face digital transformation while maintaining Islamic values.

Abstract

Santri at TPQ Ar-Rahman, Ngadirojo, Ponorogo, showed low interest in learning the Qur'an because the conventional teaching method relied mainly on lectures and rote memorization, offering little visual support. Using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the community-service team, together with TPQ teachers and administrators, identified that today's learning-media landscape is increasingly shaped by AI-assisted design tools and by santri who are more accustomed to audio-visual, hands-on media than to lecture-based delivery. This finding guided the choice of hijaiyah letter posters, prayer and ablution guide posters, and multilingual educational toys as the media most feasible for TPQ Ar-Rahman's circumstances, affordable to produce and maintain, durable for repeated use across cohorts, and still responsive to today's children's audio-visual, interactive learning style, unlike screen- or internet-dependent alternatives the TPQ could not reliably sustain. The program involved 39 santri, who were introduced to the media through demonstration, guided reading, and question-and-answer sessions. Qualitative observation during the activity indicated increased santri enthusiasm, attention, and ease in recognizing letters and practicing worship, although these changes were not measured with standardized pre- and post-test instruments. This innovation is offered as a contextually grounded alternative for other Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an facing similar resource constraints, with a recommendation that future programs pair it with structured evaluation instruments.

Abstract

Early childhood tolerance requires classroom habituation and learning administration that connects objectives, activities, assessment, and family follow-up. This community engagement program strengthened Edu-Administration for Peace at Wafa Humairah Early Childhood Education in Samarinda. Conducted from September to November 2025, it involved the principal, teachers, caregivers, administrative staff, parents, and children through needs mapping, collaborative lesson-plan review, tolerance-based learning mentoring, classroom observation, and reflective evaluation. The program produced lesson plans with explicit social-emotional indicators, role play, storytelling, small-group projects, turn-taking games, systematic observation notes, and stronger school-family communication. Children increasingly demonstrated respect for differences, cooperation, sharing, turn-taking, emotion regulation, and dialogue in resolving minor conflicts. Educator commitment, available media, a conducive climate, and parental involvement supported implementation, while limited time and activity variation remained constraints. Edu-Administration for Peace offers a practical cycle for inclusive and sustainable tolerance education in early childhood settings.

Abstract

Inclusive education requires learning strategies that are responsive to the individual needs of students with special educational needs. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen Qur’an memorization learning through multisensory mentoring for a student with Childhood Autism in an inclusive madrasah. The program was conducted at MI Qur’an Adz-Zikru Balikpapan from September to November 2025 through individualized mentoring. The implemented strategies included visual orientation using the mushaf, auditory stimulation through repeated murottal recitation, gradual verbal practice, and positive reinforcement. The evaluation was conducted through direct observation, interviews with special education teachers, and documentation of students’ learning development. The results indicated improved student engagement, demonstrated by an increase in attention span from 10–15 minutes to 20–25 minutes, more cooperative learning responses, and greater consistency in completing learning targets.

Abstract

Limited water availability during the dry season is one of the challenges faced by the community of RT 09 in Nagasari Village, Bekasi Regency. Although water aid has been distributed, limited household storage capacity means that the water received cannot be used optimally between distribution rounds. This community service project aims to increase water storage capacity while strengthening the community’s ability to adapt to drought. The activity was carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach in four stages: problem identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation and reflection. The results of the activity showed that the intervention resulted in two communal water tanks, each with a capacity of 1,000 liters, for a total additional storage capacity of 2,000 liters. The tanks can serve as buffer storage to store and provide a water reserve during distribution gaps. To ensure the sustainability of these benefits, facility maintenance, community-based management, and the development of follow-up strategies such as increasing storage capacity and rainwater harvesting are required.
