Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of DPIB Basic Principles at State Vocational School 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This research method is a Quasi-Experimental design. This method is used to measure variables before and after to see the causal relationship of the phenomenon under study. Based on the research results, the use of the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model has a better impact on learning outcomes in the cognitive domain of DPIB Basic Principles on Building Statics elements. This is proven by research results which show that the average cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model was 73.06, higher than the average learning outcomes of students who were treated with the Direct Instruction model, namely amounting to 61.94. This is also reflected in the research data, the t test results show a t value of 3.73 compared to the t table value of 1.670 (t value > t table). Based on these differences, both theoretically and proven by statistical analysis carried out in this research, it can be concluded that the Index Card Match Type Cooperative Learning Model has a significantly different influence on student learning outcomes on DPIB Basic Principles in Building Statics Elements for class students X DPIB Skills Program State Vocational High School 1 Percut Sei Tuan.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) based e-modules in increasing scientific literacy using the discovery learning learning model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. How to apply the sample using the Purposive Sampling technique where a total of 32 students were obtained consisting of 16 students in classes X1 and X2 as the control and experimental classes. The results showed that the average pretest score obtained by students in the experimental class was 29.68 and the average posttest score was 84.06, while in the control class the average pretest score obtained by students was 30.62 and the average score the posttest average was 69.68. Based on statistical test data using the independent sample test in SPSS Version 25, the results obtained were sig (2-tailed) 0.002 < significance 0.05, meaning that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Where H0 is that there is no influence of SETS-based e-modules on students' scientific literacy and Ha is that there is an influence of SETS-based e-modules on students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' problem solving by implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model. The sample used in this study was 30 students of class XI IPA-2. This study used a pre-experimental research design with a one group pre-test and post-test design, problem solving data were collected through essay pre-test and post-test questions. Analysis of problem solving data was tested with statistics, namely the N-Gain test, hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T.Test. The results of the problem solving data analysis obtained an average pre-test value (67) and post-test (96) with an average N-Gain (0.81) in the high category. The results of hypothesis testing on the Paired sample T-Test obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, thus the results stated that the hypothesis testing in the study showed that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve problem solving for class XI IPA-2 students at SMA Negeri 1 Peukan Bada on static fluid material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine which solution between NaCl, KCL, and tapioca starch shows the best performance in the charging and discharging process and to determine which solution is optimal between NaCl, KCL, and tapioca starch in maintaining the temperature longer. This study uses an experimental method, each material is tested using 10% solution through the process of releasing heat energy charging and absorbing heat energy discharging. The solution is frozen for 12 hours in a PCM bottle, then tested in a refrigerated box for 12 hours, with temperature monitored at several points. Data collection uses test techniques to see temperature changes in the charging and disharging testing process in the cooling box. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis, which is carried out in the form of tables, images, graphs, and data presentations. The results showed that in the charging process NaCl experienced the fastest temperature drop reaching -16°C, NaCl also experienced a stable temperature increase of up to 11°C between KCl and tapioca flour. Meanwhile, in the discharging process, KCl is slower in decreasing the temperature to -11.8°C and experiencing a faster temperature increase to 24.2°C. The optimal solution of NaCl, KCl, and tapioca flour in maintaining a longer temperature is, tapioca flour is better because it can maintain a more stable and durable temperature than KCl and NaCl.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Explicit Instruction learning model on learning outcomes of the basics of DPIB students in class x Design Modeling and Building Information in state vocational school 1 Percut Sei Tuan. This research method is a True Experimental Design with a Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. In this design, there are two groups selected at random, then given a pretest to find out whether there are differences between the experimental group and the control group in the initial situation, then a comparison of the posttest learning results of the two sample classes will be seen. Based on the research results, the use of the Explicit Instruction type cooperative learning model has a better impact on learning outcomes in the basics of DPIB cognitive in the material drawing plane shapes. This is proven by research results which show that the average cognitive and skills domain learning outcomes of students taught using the Explicit Instruction type cooperative learning model is 81.07 higher than the average learning outcomes of students treated with the Discovery Learning model, which is 67.37. This is also reflected in the research data, the t test results show at value of 1.88 compared to the t table value of 1.672 (t value > t table). Based on these differences, both theoretically and proven by statistical analysis carried out in this research, it can be concluded that the Explicit Instruction type cooperative learning model has a significantly different influence on student learning outcomes in the basics of DPIB cognitive in the drawing material. Form of field for class x students of the DPIB skills program at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan.
