Abstract

Pain is a common complaint experienced by patients after a Caesarean section and can hinder early mobilization, breastfeeding, and maternal recovery. One non-pharmacological effort that can be applied in nursing care is a combination of deep breathing relaxation techniques and lavender aromatherapy. This study aims to describe nursing care for post-Caesarean section patients who were given a combination of deep breathing relaxation techniques and lavender aromatherapy to reduce pain levels. The study used a descriptive design with a case study approach in three post-Caesarean section patients experiencing acute pain in the Alkema 4 Ward of Immanuel Hospital, Bandung. Data collection was conducted through interviews using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), observation, and documentation studies. The intervention was given for 10–15 minutes daily for three consecutive days. The results showed that all patients experienced a gradual decrease in pain levels from a scale of 5 (moderate pain) to a scale of 2 (mild pain) on the third day. In addition, patients appeared more relaxed, their grimacing expressions decreased, and they were able to mobilize better. These findings suggest that the combination of deep breathing relaxation techniques and lavender aromatherapy has the potential to be an effective non-pharmacological intervention as an adjunct therapy in post-cesarean section pain management. This intervention can be considered as part of evidence-based nursing practice to improve patient comfort and accelerate recovery.

Abstract

Absence without leave during peacetime constitutes a violation of military discipline that can undermine readiness, organizational effectiveness, and the core duties of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). Accordingly, punishment for soldiers who breach these rules must be firm while still upholding the principles of justice, legal certainty, and benefit. This study examines how judges weighed the factors underlying the sentencing of a soldier for unauthorized absence during peacetime, based on Military Court Decision Number 41-K/PM.III-13/AD/XI/2025, and assesses whether these considerations align with applicable military criminal law. The research employs normative legal methods through statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, drawing on primary legal materials such as the Military Criminal Code, Law Number 31 of 1997 on Military Courts, and Law Number 34 of 2004 on the TNI, alongside secondary sources including books and scientific journals. Unlike previous studies that generally discuss the application of Article 87 of the Military Criminal Code in a broad context, this research specifically analyzes the judges' legal reasoning (ratio decidendi) in Military Court Decision Number 41-K/PM.III-13/AD/XI/2025 and evaluates its conformity with the objectives of military law enforcement and discipline. The findings show that judges assessed the fulfillment of criminal elements, the validity of evidence, trial facts, and aggravating or mitigating conditions, while also weighing social and philosophical values to preserve discipline and deterrence. The decision's considerations were largely consistent with military criminal law and law-enforcement principles, though greater consistency in sentencing remains necessary to ensure fairness across similar cases.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in hospitals is essential to protect healthcare workers from occupational accidents and work-related diseases. This study aimed to analyze OSH risk factors among nurses in the inpatient wards of Pertamedika Ummi Rosnati Hospital in 2026. A descriptive-analytic design with the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) approach was used, involving all 23 nurses through total sampling. Data were collected using observation, physical measurements (Sound Level Meter, Lux Meter, and Thermometer), and questionnaires, then analyzed using univariate and Spearman Rank tests. The noise level (68 dB(A)) was below the Threshold Limit Value, while the Asyifa Nurse Station lighting (166.6 lux) did not meet the minimum standard. The Azizah Nurse Station (303.1 lux) and Asyifa Inpatient Ward (340.7 lux) met the lighting standard, whereas the average room temperature (29°C) exceeded the recommended level. Chemical factors were significantly associated with OSH risk (p = 0.048; r = −0.416), while biological, ergonomic, and psychosocial factors were not. Hospitals are recommended to improve chemical exposure control, optimize lighting and room temperature, and strengthen OSH program implementation to reduce occupational risks among nurses.

Abstract

The shift of the state's center of gravity into the digital domain has created new vulnerabilities, where disruptions to cyber infrastructure may lead to national paralysis. This study examines the governance of cyber technology and digital infrastructure as National Vital Objects within the framework of Law No. 23 of 2019 on the Management of National Resources for State Defense (UU PSDN). A systems thinking approach was employed using Causal Loop Diagrams (CLD) and SWOT/TOWS analysis to identify the institutional factors underlying the gap between high cyber threat intensity and weak compliance enforcement. The findings reveal that cyber technology and digital infrastructure conceptually and operationally qualify as Artificial Resources and National Vital Objects but lack legal certainty due to the absence of the Government Regulation mandated by Article 56 of the UU PSDN. This regulatory gap weakens the implementation of Article 59 on asset maintenance and reduces the effectiveness of cyber detection and response mechanisms. The TOWS analysis positions Indonesia in a turn-around strategic posture emphasizing internal institutional consolidation. The study recommends accelerating the issuance of the Government Regulation, harmonizing it with Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2022, establishing mandatory incident reporting and administrative sanctions, allocating a minimum cybersecurity budget, expediting the Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, and institutionalizing a Cyber Reserve Component through professional partnerships.

Abstract

This study examines the role of media politics in shaping public opinion and voter behavior during the 2024 East Java Gubernatorial Election. In contemporary elections, media serves as a strategic arena where political actors construct narratives, influence public perceptions, and compete for voter attention. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature study method. Data were collected from scholarly articles, books, official reports, and credible online media published during the election period, then analyzed through content analysis. The findings reveal that media significantly influences issue salience through agenda-setting, making topics such as regional development, public services, and governance performance dominant in public discourse. Framing practices also shape how voters interpret candidates’ competence, leadership, and credibility. Moreover, social media has become an essential platform for political communication by facilitating direct interaction between candidates and the public while simultaneously increasing information fragmentation and political polarization. The study further indicates that voter behavior is shaped by the interaction of media exposure, social environments, and individual interpretation. Although media does not directly determine voting decisions, it plays a crucial role in influencing cognitive evaluations and political preferences. Overall, the study concludes that media politics substantially contributes to public opinion formation and voter behavior in the 2024 East Java Gubernatorial Election through complex interactions with social and psychological factors.

Abstract

The quality of nursing care is an important indicator in assessing the quality of health services because it is directly related to patient experience and satisfaction during treatment. Quality nursing care includes aspects of communication, responsiveness, empathy, service assurance, and the ability to meet patient needs. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction in the inpatient ward of Bina Kasih Hospital, Medan in 2026. Method: The study used a correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 36 inpatients selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data were collected using a nursing care quality questionnaire based on SERVQUAL dimensions and a patient satisfaction questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 95% (α = 0.05). Results: A total of 20 respondents rated the quality of nursing care as good, with 18 respondents (90.0%) feeling satisfied. In the group that rated the quality of nursing care as poor, the majority of respondents (62.5%) stated that they were dissatisfied. The results of the Chi-Square test showed a significant relationship between the quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction (p=0.002). The Odds Ratio value of 18.00 (95%CI=2.72–119.02) indicates that patients who receive good quality nursing care have an 18 times greater chance of feeling satisfied than patients who receive poor nursing care. Conclusion: The quality of nursing care is significantly related to patient satisfaction, so improving the quality of nursing services needs to be a priority in efforts to improve the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Based on the Rapor Pendidikan (Education Report Card), the numeracy skills of Grade V students at SD Negeri Pegambiran I remain below the expected minimum competency level. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by Augmented Reality (AR) on improving students' numeracy skills. A quantitative pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The population consisted of 27 students, while 25 Grade V students were selected using saturated sampling. Data were collected through numeracy tests and observation sheets and analyzed using normality, paired t-test, and N-Gain analyses. The findings showed that the data were normally distributed. The paired t-test revealed a significant improvement in numeracy skills (t = 26.724; p < 0.001), indicating that the RME approach assisted by AR had a significant positive effect. The N-Gain score of 0.607 (60.70%) indicated a moderate level of improvement. It can be concluded that integrating the RME approach with AR effectively enhances elementary students' numeracy skills in learning the area of two-dimensional shapes. The novelty of this study lies in combining contextual mathematics learning through RME with interactive AR technology to strengthen elementary students' numeracy competencies.

Abstract

The Flipped Classroom model has become an increasingly popular pedagogical approach in elementary education, as it reallocates instructional time by shifting basic content delivery outside the classroom and dedicating in-class time to discussion, collaboration, and higher-order thinking activities. Given the growing number of studies examining this model, a comprehensive mapping of research trends and its effectiveness on students' critical thinking skills is needed. This study aims to map publication trends and analyze the effectiveness of the Flipped Classroom model in improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Literature searches were conducted across the Scopus, Google Scholar, ERIC, ScienceDirect, and DOAJ databases for articles published between 2020 and 2026, yielding 28 eligible articles out of 312 initially identified. The results show a steadily increasing trend of Flipped Classroom research since 2022, dominated by studies from Indonesia using quantitative and Research and Development approaches. The Flipped Classroom model was consistently found to be effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills, particularly when combined with problem-based or project-based learning activities during the in-class phase. This study recommends further empirical and comparative research to strengthen evidence of the model's effectiveness across diverse subjects and educational levels.

Abstract

Leadership communication is shaped not only by message delivery but also by the ethical values underlying relationships between leaders, communities, and stakeholders. This study analyzes the implementation of Islamic communication ethics in Bobby Nasution's collaborative leadership in North Sumatra, using a qualitative case study design. Informants were purposively selected from government officials, academics, socio-political observers, community leaders, and youth representatives. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed via reduction, display, and conclusion verification, with triangulation strengthening credibility. Three findings emerged. First, leadership communication was marked by simple, clear, and solution-oriented language, supported by nonverbal cues and direct community engagement; public trust depended on consistency between messages, actions, and equitable development outcomes. Second, collaborative leadership was practiced through intergovernmental coordination, deliberation, public consultation, field visits, and involvement of religious leaders, academics, media, and the private sector, though follow-up mechanisms for public aspirations need strengthening. Third, the values of shiddiq, trustworthiness, syura, qaulan sadīdan, balīghan, layyinan, and ma'rūfan were reflected in truthful information, respectful language, and policy accountability. The study concludes that Islamic communication ethics require alignment among messages, deliberation, action, and public welfare.
