Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem in Sarawet Village, North Minahasa, harbors a rich diversity of unique native biota (operationally defined herein as "exotic" due to their charismatic features and ecotourism appeal) with substantial ecological and socio-economic value. However, the lack of systematic biodiversity data has perpetuated traditional, extractive resource practices, posing a serious threat to coastal sustainability. This community service program aimed to conduct a participatory inventory of exotic mangrove biota and boost environmental literacy to foster conservation-driven economic development. Utilizing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) framework, the methodological interventions integrated interactive dialogic socialization with hands-on biodiversity mapping through a learning-by-doing approach. The local community was trained to operate handheld GPS devices and digital identification applications for spatial mapping directly in the field. The participatory inventory documented 15 taxa of exotic biota, including keystone and highly commercial species such as Mud Crabs (Scylla spp.), Mudskippers (Periophthalmus spp.), and Fiddler Crabs (Uca spp.), and compiled them into a basic digital spatial catalog for the village. Quantitative evaluations using pre- and post-tests showed a significant 66.7% increase (from an average pre-test score of 45 to a post-test score of 75) in the community's cognitive understanding and awareness of sustainable ecosystem management. Furthermore, the intervention catalyzed the strategic identification of community-led educational ecotourism and silvofishery initiatives, projecting potential alternative local revenue streams of approximately 230 USD (IDR 3.5 million) per month for the community-owned enterprise (BUMDes), calculated from a baseline target of 40 monthly eco-tourists and 10 kg of sustainable mud crab harvest. In conclusion, merging spatial technologies with participatory education efficiently shifts the coastal community paradigm from extractive practices to knowledge-based, sustainable management. Future efforts must focus on formalizing these spatial inventory findings into village zoning regulations and supporting BUMDes management to guarantee equitable

Abstract

This research is based on the decline in the index of Wardah Moisturizer based on data obtained from the Top Brand Award (2025) moisturizer category, which shows that the Wardah brand is decreasing in the main memory of consumers, so that it has the potential to affect purchasing behavior, especially impulsive buying which tends to be done in the most remembered brands. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of fear of missing out, and brand passion on impulsive buying of Wardah skincare moisturizer products on the shopee platform in the Greater Bandung area. The method used is a quantitative approach with an associative descriptive method. The number of samples used was 135 respondents with convenience sampling techniques. The tool used to conduct the test is using SPSS software version 27. The results of the study show that fear of missing out has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying, brand passion harmonious has a positive and insignificant effect on impulsive buying, brand passion obsessive has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying, and all variables simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying. The results of this study show that companies need to implement marketing strategies in accordance with consumer behavior, adaptive by building a sense of urgency and emotional closeness but still ethically and wisely, so as to encourage consumption but not excessively and maintain long-term and sustainable relationships with consumers.

Abstract

Background: Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy remain a major cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality, especially when gestational hypertension progresses to pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, stroke, organ dysfunction, fetal growth restriction, or preterm birth. Objective: This review aimed to synthesize recent determinants of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and organize them into domains that can support antenatal risk screening. Methods: This systematic literature review followed PRISMA 2020 guidance. Searches were conducted in June 2026 through PubMed (n=386), Scopus (n=284), ScienceDirect (n=216), Google Scholar (n=220), and official public-health sources (n=8). The review used a PEO framework: pregnant women, exposure to socio-demographic, clinical-metabolic, pregnancy-placental, behavioral-environmental, or health-system determinants, and occurrence of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. Articles published mainly from 2022 to 2026 were prioritized; key official documents were retained for epidemiological and guideline context. Quality appraisal used JBI checklists for observational studies, AMSTAR 2 for systematic reviews, and AACODS for official reports. Results: From 1,114 records, 26 sources met eligibility criteria. The most consistent determinants were chronic hypertension, previous pre-eclampsia, high body mass index or obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, nulliparity, advanced maternal age, multiple gestation, and delayed or limited antenatal risk identification. Conclusion: Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy are multifactorial and require integrated antenatal screening that combines biomedical history, obstetric risk, nutrition, environmental context, and access to care.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems have considerable potential as natural phytoremediation agents for treating shrimp aquaculture wastewater, yet their effectiveness in narrow buffer zones located close to pond outlets remains poorly understood. This study addresses that gap by integrating water quality assessment, phytoremediation efficiency, and nutrient bioaccumulation mechanisms of two dominant mangrove species Lumnitzera racemosa and Avicennia marina within a single, spatially confined coastal transition zone in Legung Village, Sumenep Regency. A natural experimental approach was used, comparing water quality and plant nutrient content across four zones along the wastewater flow path. The mangrove zone reduced phosphate concentrations very effectively (>97%) but was markedly less effective for ammonia (14.88%), while the two species showed contrasting nutrient-partitioning strategies: root retention in Lumnitzera Racemosa versus active stem translocation in Avicennia marina. These findings provide practical guidance for designing species-based, tiered mangrove buffer zones as a nature-based approach to managing shrimp pond wastewater in narrow coastal transition areas.

Abstract

Diagnostic error is a medico-legal issue that concerns not only clinical competence but also patient rights, patient safety, medical record documentation, and access to justice. This study analyzes legal protection for patients who suffer harm from diagnostic errors committed by medical professionals in Batam City by examining the relationship between professional accountability, complaint mechanisms, medical records, and medical dispute resolution. The study adopts a socio-legal approach that combines normative analysis of health regulations with empirical reading of service practices, complaint procedures, and evidentiary barriers in diagnostic disputes. The findings show that patient protection has a relatively strong normative basis through the recognition of patient rights, professional duties, and the evidentiary function of medical records. Nevertheless, its effectiveness remains constrained by medical information asymmetry, limited clinical transparency, restricted access to documents, and the weak integration of ethical, disciplinary, administrative, and civil mechanisms. This study argues that patient protection should move from a reactive litigation-oriented model toward an integrated accountability model that combines prevention, disclosure, clinical audit, documentation, and recovery. The contribution of this study lies in developing a socio-legal framework that connects diagnostic safety with access to justice in local healthcare governance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of job satisfaction, Work-life balance, and job stress on Turnover intention of Generation Z workers in Ngawi Regency. This research is motivated by the high tendency of Turnover intention among Generation Z workers and the still limited empirical research examining the factors that influence Turnover intention in non-metropolitan areas. This study used a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique involving 100 Generation Z workers in Ngawi Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS application. The results showed that job satisfaction, work-life balance, and job stress simultaneously had a significant effect on turnover intention. Partially, job satisfaction and work-life balance did not have a significant effect on Turnover intention, while job stress had a positive and significant effect and was the most dominant variable. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.377 indicates that the three independent variables were able to explain 37.7% of the variation in Turnover intention, while the remaining 62.3% was influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings indicate that psychological factors, particularly work stress, play a greater role in shaping Turnover intention than job satisfaction and work-life balance among Generation Z workers in Ngawi Regency. These findings provide implications for human resource management practices, stating that managing work stress needs to be a priority to increase retention of Generation Z workers.

Abstract

The enactment of Law Number 16 of 2019 was intended to strengthen child protection by raising the minimum marriage age and limiting child marriage through judicial dispensation. Nevertheless, the persistent increase in marriage dispensation applications has raised concerns regarding the effectiveness of this legal reform. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of marriage dispensation after the enactment of Law Number 16 of 2019, examine the consistency of judicial reasoning from the perspective of maqāṣid al-sharī'ah, and formulate policy recommendations to enhance child protection within Islamic family law. The research employs a descriptive-analytical normative legal method with a socio-legal approach based on library research. Data were collected from statutory regulations, court decisions, official statistical reports, and relevant scholarly literature, and analyzed qualitatively using content analysis. The findings reveal that the decline in child marriage statistics has not fully reflected substantive legal effectiveness because social, cultural, and economic factors continue to drive marriage dispensation applications, while judicial reasoning remains inconsistent in interpreting the requirement of “urgent circumstances.” This study recommends strengthening substantive assessment standards, multidisciplinary evaluation, integrated institutional coordination, and a maqāṣid al-shari’ah-based framework to ensure that marriage dispensation functions strictly as an exceptional legal mechanism prioritizing the best interests of the child.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of elementary school students on the topic of animal life cycles in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject remain a significant educational challenge due to teacher-centered instructional practices and the limited use of learning media that facilitate concrete learning experiences. This condition has contributed to students' difficulties in understanding concepts, reduced classroom engagement, and unsatisfactory academic achievement. This study aimed to improve students' learning outcomes through the implementation of diorama board media in teaching the topic of animal life cycles to third-grade students at SD Negeri 056/II Talang Silungko. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 17 third-grade students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, classroom observation sheets, and documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques by comparing the results across the research cycles. The findings revealed that the implementation of diorama board media improved students' learning outcomes. The class average score increased from 71.76 in the pre-cycle to 78.52 in Cycle I and further improved to 89.41 in Cycle II. Likewise, the learning mastery rate increased from 29% in the pre-cycle to 71% in Cycle I and reached 94% in Cycle II. In addition to improving academic achievement, the use of diorama board media promoted students' active participation, enhanced conceptual understanding through concrete visual representation, and created a more engaging and interactive learning environment. These findings indicate that diorama board media is an effective instructional innovation for improving elementary students' learning outcomes in IPAS and can be adopted as an alternative contextual learning medium for teaching conceptual and visually oriented science topics.
