Abstract

This study aims to (1) develop digital vocational teaching materials on stage makeup for students with intellectual disabilities at SMALB in the form of a digital book; (2) determine the feasibility of the digital vocational teaching materials on stage makeup as assessed by media experts and subject matter experts; (3) determine the practicality of the digital vocational teaching materials on stage makeup for educators and students; and (4) determine the effectiveness of the digital vocational teaching materials on stage makeup among students. This study used the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research was conducted at State Special Education School No. 1 in Yogyakarta and Bagaskara Special Education School B/C in Sragen. The subjects consisted of 10 SMALB students with intellectual disabilities and two special education teachers in the small-scale field trial, and 15 SMALB students with intellectual disabilities in the large-scale field trial. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. The results show that the digital vocational teaching material on stage makeup, developed as a digital flip book, was deemed feasible by media experts (84.29%) and subject matter experts (98.33%). The teaching material was also considered practical, receiving scores of 88% from educators and 87.48% from students. Furthermore, it was found to be effective based on the paired-sample t-test results for both comprehension and skills aspects.

Abstract

Indonesia recognizes three inheritance law systems, namely customary inheritance law, Islamic inheritance law, and civil inheritance law. Under civil inheritance law, inheritance occurs when there is a deceased person as the testator, heirs, and an estate that can be transferred to the heirs. However, the emergence of transgender individuals raises legal issues because the Civil Code (KUHPerdata) does not explicitly regulate the legal status and inheritance rights of transgender heirs. This condition may create legal uncertainty, particularly regarding the recognition of heir status and the proof of inheritance rights. This study aims to analyze the validity of transgender heirs within the perspective of Indonesian civil inheritance law. This research applies a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches through an examination of the Civil Code, population administration regulations, legal doctrines, and court decisions. The findings indicate that transgender heirs retain inheritance rights as long as there is a valid blood relationship or marriage relationship with the deceased. The legal status of transgender individuals is determined based on civil registration documents following a court decision. Although inheritance rights remain attached, administrative and evidentiary issues may still lead to disputes; therefore, legal certainty through judicial proof is required to ensure equal legal protection.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of strategic leadership, World Class Education (WCE)-based management, and educational innovation at Little Heroes Education Cikarang, synthesizing three mini-researches on institutional management, curriculum development, and educational transformation at the same locus. A descriptive qualitative approach with a quick case study design was used, drawing on environmental observation, semi-structured interviews with managers, educators, and parents, and review of institutional, curriculum, assessment, supervision, and facility documents. Data were analyzed through condensation, thematic presentation, cross-source comparison, and verification. Findings show that strategic leadership directs vision and drives educator motivation, WCE-based management encompasses program planning, child-friendly services, human resource development, authentic assessment, and family partnerships, while innovation is realized through curriculum mapping, play-based learning, adaptive bilingualism, simple 4Cs and STEAM activities, proportional technology use, and character-religious strengthening. Together, these dimensions form a cycle of strategic direction, quality systems, innovative practice, evaluation, and feedback. Further strengthening is needed in performance indicators, supervision documentation, appreciation and career systems, portfolio standardization, and longitudinal child development data. The study's novelty lies in the WCE-Based Integrative Model of Leadership–Management–Innovation, which positions educator motivation and children's learning experience quality as joint organizational outcomes.

Abstract

Heliport design is an important competency in aviation education, particularly in understanding the relationship between helicopter characteristics, facility geometric requirements, and safety standards. The learning process of heliport design still commonly relies on conventional approaches using regulatory documents and two-dimensional drawings, which may cause difficulties for students in understanding the spatial relationships between design components. This study aims to develop a web-based heliport design simulator as an innovative learning medium for surface-level heliport design. The research employed a system development approach consisting of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and functional testing stages. The developed simulator provides features for helicopter characteristic data input, heliport layout arrangement, design conformity checking, and user management for students and lecturers. System testing was conducted using the Black-box Testing method to verify that the main functions of the application operated according to the designed specifications. The testing results showed that all main simulator features successfully operated according to the defined test scenarios. The developed simulator can serve as a digital technology-based supporting medium for heliport design learning.

Abstract

Teachers implementing Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum are expected to redesign instruction, assessment, and learning materials almost from scratch, yet little is known about how they actually cope when the necessary support is missing. This case study examines the strategies employed by teachers at State Elementary School 3 Karangampel, Indramayu, in addressing the challenges of curriculum implementation. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the principal and three classroom teachers, supplemented by classroom observation and document review, and analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña's interactive model. The findings revealed a telling mismatch: the strategies teachers described when asked how they cope turned out to be little more than their everyday teaching methods, such as varying activities, running small group projects, and adjusting to student characteristics, none of which addressed the one problem that mattered most, the absence of any usable teaching module. At the school level, leadership had quietly shifted its support from providing facilities toward building teacher capacity through academic supervision, training, and teacher working-group (KKG) meetings, though whether teachers themselves find this helpful could not be directly confirmed by the study. Teachers' own hopes for the future closely aligned with the problems already identified: more sustained training on module writing, better technology, and a stronger KKG. The gap, then, is not that teachers fail to see what is needed, but that no one has yet turned that shared understanding into a concrete, structured plan of action.

Abstract

This study formulates an integrative model of World-Class Education (WCE)-based educational management at MAN Al Ashriyyah Nurul Iman Parung, Bogor, West Java by combining three dimensions that are often examined separately: educational organisation and bureaucracy, the boarding-pondok system, and educational technology. The article is an integrative synthesis of three mini-studies conducted at the same site. A descriptive qualitative approach with a document-based case-study design was employed, including thematic re-analysis of observation, interview, and documentation data reported in the three manuscripts. Data were analysed through condensation, mapping of similarities and differences, conceptual triangulation, relationship matrices, and model development. The findings show that WCE in a residential madrasah cannot be achieved through isolated flagship programmes. Organisation and bureaucracy provide vision, structure, authority, procedures, and accountability; the boarding-pondok system establishes a twenty-four-hour curriculum, care, adab, independence, well-being, and family partnership; while educational technology strengthens global connectivity, digital learning, information systems, administration, data security, and decision-making. Their integration requires strategic leadership, an integrated curriculum, professional human resources, sustainable financing, student safeguarding, a maintenance system, and data-based quality assurance. The novelty of the article lies in an Integrative WCE-Based Educational Management Model that positions academic quality, spiritual maturity, character, independence, well-being, digital capability, and global outlook as joint outcomes of a single governance architecture.

Abstract

This study develops an integrative mechanism of educational transformation toward World-Class Education through visionary leadership, quality management, standardization, and the internalization of multicultural-inclusive values at President Junior High School, Cikarang. It employed an integrative qualitative case-study design through secondary analysis of three mini-research reports produced from the same intensive field visit. The analytical corpus comprised three complete reports, 28 initial indicators, observation-documentation matrices, and three conceptual models. Data were analyzed through indicator consolidation, cross-case matrices, searches for convergence and tension, inter-report triangulation, and pattern synthesis. The findings show that a world-class orientation does not operate as a stand-alone internationalization program. Visionary leadership provides direction and change energy; quality management and standardization institutionalize the vision through governance, curriculum, teacher competence, technology, data, and evaluation; while multicultural-inclusive values and world citizenship provide ethical substance, safety, and equitable participation. The synthesis produces the 4I-WCE Model: inspiration, institutionalization, internalization, and impact, supported by data- and stakeholder-based feedback. The model demonstrates that World-Class Education should balance academic-global quality with character, well-being, inclusion, and social responsibility. The study is limited by the brief field duration, the absence of verbatim transcripts in the secondary corpus, and the lack of longitudinal evidence.

Abstract

The digitalization of the global economy is advancing rapidly, with significant implications for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in emerging nations—presenting both immense opportunities and structural barriers. While MSMEs have proven to be essential drivers of socio-economic resilience in Medan, many continue to encounter persistent difficulties related to digital literacy and technological adoption.  Top-down empowerment model often appears to face difficulty in narrowing their capability gaps at the grassroot level. This study evaluates a community development workshop Lokakarya Kewirausahaan Untuk UMKM/Industri 2.0 a collaboration between BINUS @Medan, DPM-PTSP Kota Medan, and 39 MSME participants. It examines how the Triple Helix partnership approach can serve as a strategic model for MSME empowerment by integrating in-class sessions with experiential learning. The program was implemented with the involvement of 16 faculty members and 89 students of BINUS @Medan. While the former led two-day in-class sessions, the latter did practical tasks for creating and generating, such as, digital catalogue design, social media content, e-commerce optimization, and a digitized payment integration.

Abstract

This research aims to build an integrative model of World Class Education (WCE) management at President University by synthesizing strategic leadership, operational standardization, marketing-entrepreneurship, and international cooperation. Using a qualitative, integrative document-based case study design, data were drawn from three 2026 mini-research manuscripts addressing leadership and operational standards, marketing-entrepreneurship in education, and higher education internationalization, enriched with institutional documents, official websites, and relevant literature. Analysis involved source mapping, thematic coding, pattern matching, cross-script synthesis, and conceptual proposition development. Findings show WCE is ineffective when managed as separate programs: strategic leadership guides vision, operational standardization ensures quality consistency, marketing-entrepreneurship links market understanding with value creation, and international cooperation expands learning, research, cultural, and industry networks. The case's strengths lie in its international positioning, English-language instruction, portfolio-building curriculum, the Jababeka industrial ecosystem, entrepreneurial incubation, academic mobility, and multicultural experience. Key gaps remain in cross-unit data integration, active partnership verification, measurement of startup and alumni outcomes, and collaborative research strengthening. The study's novelty is the 4I-WCE Integrative Model—strategic initiation, operational institutionalization, value innovation, and impactful internationalization, positioning WCE as an integration platform for institutional quality and evidence-based graduate competitiveness.

Abstract

This article develops a World-Class Education (WCE)-based pesantren ecosystem model integrating three subsystems commonly examined separately: educational digitalization, financing and welfare, and character education. Employing a qualitative documentary case-study design at Al-Ashriyyah Nurul Iman Islamic Boarding School in Parung, Bogor, data were drawn from three previous papers, regulations, official institutional publications, international organisation reports, and academic literature, analysed through data condensation, thematic coding, cross-source comparison, and conceptual proposition building. The evidence points to relatively developed digitalization at Nurul Iman in administration, TABANI transactions, media, and entrepreneurial skills, whereas pedagogical integration, teachers' digital competence, data governance, and AI policies remain poorly documented; its financing system draws on well-established low-cost education, waqf, philanthropy, and business units, though per-student costing, remuneration, reserves, and risk management are only thinly evidenced; and character education rests on a 24-hour architecture, role modelling, moral authority, habituation, and peer control, tempered by observable risks of figure dependency and externally driven compliance. On this basis, the article puts forward, as a conceptual proposition awaiting further validation, a Pesantren WCE Ecosystem Model linking the three subsystems through leadership, data, quality assurance, human protection, and continuous evaluation, and recommends strengthening financial governance while formalizing digital and AI policies to help realize the model.
