Abstract

Air Blast Freezer (ABF) reliability is critical for maintaining seafood product quality and production continuity. This study identifies recurring ABF failures, examines their probable causes, describes corrective-maintenance actions, and evaluates reported downtime changes. A descriptive case study was conducted on four ABF units at a seafood-processing plant in Probolinggo, Indonesia. Data were obtained through direct observation, interviews with maintenance personnel, and maintenance records from January–February 2026. Twenty-two failure events were classified into six categories. Discharge-pipe leakage was the most frequent failure, with 11 events (50.0%), followed by low lubrication or low oil pressure with six events (27.3%) and ice blockage with two events (9.1%). Bearing damage, subcooler expansion failure, and connecting-rod breakage each occurred once but caused more severe operational disruption. Probable causes included vibration, inadequate welding, possible corrosion, insufficient lubrication, ineffective defrosting, excessive operating loads, and component wear. Corrective actions included welding, refrigerant refilling, oil and filter servicing, evaporator cleaning, component replacement, and compressor overhaul. Reported average downtime decreased across all failure categories, with absolute reductions of 1–12 hours. However, recurring failures indicate that maintenance remains predominantly reactive, requiring scheduled inspections, condition monitoring, critical spare-parts planning, and structured documentation.

Abstract

Visum et Repertum is a written piece of evidence that plays an important role in the judicial process, especially in uncovering the factual truth in cases related to a person's body and health, issued by a doctor. Doctors, as professionals in the medical field, have a legal obligation to create and provide Visum et Repertum at the request of law enforcement for court purposes. However, this obligation can raise legal issues because, on one hand, doctors are bound to maintain patient medical confidentiality, while on the other hand, they are expected to assist in law enforcement. It also becomes controversial when the victim objects to the issuance of a Visum et Repertum. This study aims to address the doctor's obligation to provide a Visum et Repertum at the request of investigators according to Indonesian laws and regulations, and to clarify the legal certainty regarding the doctor's duty to provide a Visum et Repertum if the victim or the victim's family refuses to undergo a medical examination for judicial purposes. The research method used is normative legal research with statutory, literature, and conceptual approaches. The legal materials used include primary legal materials in the form of legislation in the fields of criminal law, health, and police regulations; secondary legal materials such as legal literature, scientific journals, and opinions from health law experts; and tertiary legal materials as additional supporting materials. The legal materials are analyzed qualitatively to gain a comprehensive understanding of the doctor's obligation to provide Visum et Repertum to law enforcement from the perspective of medical confidentiality, addressing the two matters above. The conclusion of this study is that doctors are legally protected when providing Visum et Repertum or acting as expert witnesses in court, considering patient medical confidentiality, as long as the request comes from law enforcement in accordance with the law (Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health, Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code, Law No. 20 of 2025 on the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Regulation of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police Number 12 of 2011 on Police Medicine) with a clear written request. However, if doctors reveal medical confidentiality outside of these laws, they risk facing criminal sanctions. Doctors are also legally protected when providing Visum et Repertum to investigators, even if the victim objects, because the interest of law enforcement is considered a broader public interest

Abstract

Teacher performance is central to educational quality, yet organizational strategies for improving it are often examined without considering the psychological mechanism through which teachers respond to employment conditions. This study analyzes the effects of compensation and work discipline on the performance of junior high school teachers in Bekasi Regency, Indonesia, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory survey was conducted from June to September 2025. Data were collected from 195 public and private junior high school teachers through a 39-item, five-point Likert questionnaire. The model was assessed using partial least squares structural equation modeling with SmartPLS 4. The measurement model met convergent validity, discriminant validity, and reliability requirements. Work discipline positively affected teacher performance (β = 0.305, p < 0.001) and job satisfaction (β = 0.282, p < 0.001). Compensation positively affected teacher performance (β = 0.206, p = 0.001) and job satisfaction (β = 0.442, p < 0.001), while job satisfaction positively affected teacher performance (β = 0.322, p < 0.001). Job satisfaction partially mediated both relationships. The findings indicate that sustainable performance improvement requires balanced policies combining fair compensation, consistent discipline, and supportive conditions that strengthen teacher satisfaction.

Abstract

This qualitative case study aimed to explore the model of parental involvement in social-emotional learning (SEL) for children with autism at home and identify the factors influencing it. Conducted with three parents of elementary-school-age children with autism in Yogyakarta, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, passive participant observation, and documentation. Then analyzed using Creswell's spiral model with NVivo 15 support. Findings show that parental involvement forms a generic, non-linear model integrating five aspects: perceived life context, parental beliefs and motivation, perceived invitations to involvement, parenting style with child receptivity, and SEL practices, connected through both mediated and direct pathways. Life context (education, occupation, time-energy, social support, economic condition) shapes parents' beliefs-motivation and how they appraise invitations to involvement; child-originated invitations prove most influential, while general school invitations show little impact. In conclusion, parental involvement is dynamic, contextual, and individual, meaning the same parenting goal can produce distinct social-emotional competence profiles across children.

Abstract

This research examines the relationship between ESG and NON-ESG Cryptocurrencies, stocks, and gold within the context of U.S. Federal Reserve implemented quantitative easing to support economy, increasing liquidity and asset prices. In addition, The study investigates whether cryptocurrencies can function as safe-haven assets like gold during periods of monetary tightening. Using the DCC-GARCH model, the research analyzes the correlation between major cryptocurrencies, gold, and stock market ETFs across different phases of QE and QT. The findings aim to provide insights into investment strategies and alternative asset protection under monetary stress. Our results show that ESG and non‐ESG tokens share similar volatility and correlation behaviors during quantitative tightening which undermining any distinct safe‐haven edge for ESG coins. While gold consistently exhibits lower volatility and a more stable negative correlation with equities, and all asset correlations rise in QT, eroding the diversification benefits of cryptocurrencies and underscoring gold’s superior role as a refuge in tightening environments.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a linguistic miracle whose beauty can be traced through the science of balāghah, particularly badīʻ, which examines the beauty of wording and meaning. This article analyzes the linguistic style of Surah An-Najm from two dimensions, namely muhassināt lafẓiyyah (beauty of wording) and muhassināt maʻnawiyyah (beauty of meaning), drawing on the theoretical frameworks of al-Akhdari and Ali Jarim.. This study employs a descriptive-qualitative library research method, with primary data taken from the verses of Surah An-Najm and secondary data from classical balāghah and exegetical works. Data analysis follows the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that Surah An-Najm contains 12 verses with sajaʻ style (8 mutarraf and 4 mutawāzī), 11 verses with jinās style (4 tām mutamātsil, 1 tām mustaufī, and 7 isytiqāq), and 8 verses with ṭibāq style (7 ījāb and 1 salab). These findings confirm that the phonetic and semantic beauty of the surah reinforces its theological message while providing tangible evidence of the Qur'an's linguistic inimitability, appreciable both aesthetically and substantively.

Abstract

The high level of Turnover Intention among Generation Z employees challenges organizations by raising recruitment costs and disrupting effectiveness. This study examined the effect of Organizational Career Growth and Work-Life Balance on Turnover Intention, with Job Satisfaction as a mediator among Generation Z employees. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, 200 respondents were selected through purposive sampling and analyzed with SEM-PLS via SmartPLS 4. Results showed Organizational Career Growth and Work-Life Balance had significant positive effects on Job Satisfaction (β = 0.505 and 0.453; p = 0.000) and significant negative effects on Turnover Intention (β = -0.442 and -0.185). Job Satisfaction negatively affected Turnover Intention (β = -0.272; p = 0.000) and partially mediated both relationships. Organizations should enhance career development opportunities and work-life balance policies to reduce Generation Z turnover.
