Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the reading ethos of students in the Department of Nutrition FKM UIN North Sumatra. Using a questionnaire to gather information from a sample of students in the Gorontalo State University information engineering department, the research used descriptive statistics for data analysis. Reading is a valuable skill that offers many benefits, including broadening one's understanding of the world, improving critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and encouraging personal growth and development. There are several reasons why reading is important, and this study aims to explore these reasons. The research's conclusions are as follows: 1) Students majoring in nutrition still have a relatively low interest in reading books; this is probably because they become bored easily. 2) Students understand the value of reading books despite the findings showing a low interest in reading. 3) Students believe that reading may enhance their capacity for critical thought, that reading can alter their perspective on a subject, that reading can facilitate their academic progress, and that reading can have long-term advantages.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out and describe the profile of students' responsibilities for PPKn learning for class IV SD 1 Soco. This research uses a quantitative research approach obtained using numbers and data analysis techniques. The sample for this research was all class IV students at SD 1 Soco, totaling 11 students. The research instrument used a questionnaire consisting of 20 questions that measured the level of student responsibility in Civics learning with 4 indicators. The data that has been collected is analyzed using descriptive statistics including percentages. The results of the research show that the level of responsibility of students at SD 1 Soco class IV is mostly in the medium category.

Abstract

The strategy process for developing Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa) is an important step to advance and develop village economic potential. As stated in the function of BUMDesa according to Law Number 06 of 2014 concerning Villages, it is as a driver of the village economy, as a business institution that generates original village income (PADesa) and as a means to encourage accelerated improvement in village welfare. With the presence of BUMDesa, it is hoped that the Village will become more independent and able to improve the community's economy and be able to contribute to increasing Village income and meeting the Village's basic needs. The Village Government's strategy in developing BUMDesa Madaparama Jaya, the Village Government must identify and analyze the various approaches taken by the village government to advance BUMDesa Madaparama. in accordance with the objective conditions of the existing environment in implementing the strategy to develop BUMDesa Madaparama, but in fact the lack of competent human resources and community involvement is an obstacle in implementing the village government's strategy for developing BUMDesa Madaparama. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this research are that researchers found that the village government's strategy in developing BUMDesa has been carried out well, even though there are still shortcomings and obstacles such as lack of human resource competency, minimal budget funds provided and low community participation in supporting the Village Government's strategy in Madaparama BUMDesa development will be even better in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan kreativitas siswa kelas I dengan menggunakan teknik ecoprint dalam mata pelajaran Seni Budaya dan Prakarya (SBdP) di SD Inpres Kuanino 3 kota Kupang. Pendidikan seni dianggap krusial dalam mengembangkan potensi siswa sejak usia dini, dan teknik ecoprint dipilih karena keberlanjutannya terhadap lingkungan serta penggunaan bahan alami seperti daun dan bunga untuk menciptakan motif pada kain. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data yang menggambarkan bagaimana penerapan teknik ecoprint mempengaruhi kreativitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan teknik ecoprint siswa menunjukan kresativitas yang tingi. Penggunaan teknik ecoprint tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis siswa dalam seni, tetapi juga mendalami pemahaman mereka tentang lingkungan dan warisan budaya local yang dapat dijadikan seni. Dengan demikian, teknik ini memberikan dampak positif dalam mengembangkan kreativitas dan apresiasi seni siswa di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penambahan Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) mempengaruhi nilai Ph (potential of Hydrogen) dan penilaian organoleptik sirup jahe merah (warna,aroma,tekstur,rasa,dan kesukaan). Dalam penelitian ini, Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) digunakan, yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan, yaitu P1(0%), P2(0,2%), P3(0,3%), P4(0,4%) sehingga menghasilkan 12 perlakuan. ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) dan uji lanjut Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) digunakan untuk analisis data pada penelitian ini. Penambahan Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan (P<0,05) pada uji pH perlakuan P4(0,4%) memiliki nilai pH tertinggi, dengan nilai 6,84. Pada penilaian karakteristik organoleptik, Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) perlakuan P4(0,4%) menunjukkan bahwa CMC memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap parameter seperti warna, tekstur, rasa, dan kesukaan. Perlakuan ini memiliki nilai tinggi pada setiap parameter uji organoleptik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan produk sirup jahe merah dengan perlakuan P4 (0,4%) dapat diterima dan disukai oleh panelis dalam penilaian organoleptik dan penilaian pH (potential of Hydrogen).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning methods of Sheikh Al-Zarnuji and relate them to the theory of multiple intelligences developed by Howard Gardner. Sheikh Al-Zarnuji, a 13th century Muslim scholar, is known for his work 'Ta'lim al-Muta'allim', which focuses on ethics and effective learning methods. Through literature review and comparative analysis, this research explores the key principles proposed by Al-Zarnuji, such as the importance of intention, consistent effort, and the role of the teacher in education. The findings show that many of the methods and principles proposed by Al-Zarnuji are consistent with Gardner's concept of multiple intelligences, which emphasizes that each individual possesses a variety of different types of intelligence, such as linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, bodily, spatial, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalistic. The findings suggest that Al-Zarnuji's approach to learning is not only relevant in its historical context, but can also be integrated with modern educational theories to create more inclusive and effective learning strategies. This research makes an important contribution to understanding how traditional learning methods can be applied in contemporary educational contexts, taking into account the different intelligences possessed by learners.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the metaphors used in the images and textual elements of selected United Nations (UN) posters, analyze how these metaphors convey meaning, and understand the functions of the messages delivered. The data was sourced from the official Instagram account of the UN, @unitednations. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative approach with the application of multimodal metaphor theory by Forceville (2009) and visual grammar theory by Kress and Van Leeuwen (2020). The results indicate that the visual and verbal processes in these posters are complementary and work together to provide a cohesive message to the audience. The analysis reveals that the metaphors used in the posters serve to enhance the communication of complex global issues by making abstract concepts more relatable and understandable. This study contributes to the understanding of how multimodal metaphors in posters can be effectively used for global communication.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV SDN 07 Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas IV dan siswa kelas IV SDN 07 Palembang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pada saat perencanaan pembelajaran matematika guru sudah menyiapkan modul ajar sebelum kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung, (2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran dikelas metode yang guru gunakan itu bervariasi seperti metode pembelajaran ceramah, metode pembelajaran game, metode pembelajaran diskusi kelompok dan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi, (3) Saat Evaluasi Pembelajaran guru selalu menanyakan kepada peserta didik mengenai kepemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi tersebut sehingga guru dapat mengetahui sampai dimana letak ketidaktahuan peserta didik dalam mengikuti pelajaran dan menutup kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan memberi sedikit motivasi kepada peserta didik untuk belajar. (4) Perilaku Pesertadidik saat kegiatan belajar berlangsung mereka belajar dengan tenang dan kondusif sehingga mereka menghargai guru yang sedang menjelaskan materi di depan kelas.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of price, location and service quality on customer satisfaction at PUD slaughterhouses in Medan City. This research uses a quantitative method with a sampling technique using the Slovin formula. The population in this study were all customers who used services at the Medan City Animal Slaughter PUD from 1 August 2023 to 31 October 2023 which was obtained from customer data, namely 164 people. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is a multiple linear regression model and hypothesis testing using the t test, F test and coefficient of determination. Previously the data had been tested using validity tests, reliability tests and classical assumption tests. Data processing uses the SPSS 29.0 for Windows program. Based on partial hypothesis testing, there is an influence of Price, Location and Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction at PUD Slaughterhouses in Medan City. Based on the research results, it shows that the variables Price, Location and Service Quality simultaneously influence Customer Satisfaction.

Abstract

This research investigates the use of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method to improve student achievement in social studies learning in elementary schools. The PBL method is a student- centered learning approach where they learn through solving real problems. In this study, qualitative methods were used, including interviews and descriptive questionnaires with teachers. The research results show that PBL improves student learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and problem solving abilities. Increasing student achievement is one of the main findings of this research. Students who are involved in learning using the PBL method show a better understanding of the subject matter and are able to apply their knowledge in real situations. Apart from that, students' critical thinking skills also experienced significant improvement. They become better able to evaluate information critically and make decisions based on in-depth analysis. Student motivation also increases as a result of implementing the PBL method. Students become more enthusiastic and motivated to learn because they feel more involved and have an active role in the learning process. PBL also contributes to improving the quality of student behavior and education, creating a more positive and productive learning environment. Overall, this study concludes that the PBL method is an effective strategy for social learning studies in elementary schools. By improving learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, and student motivation, PBL can help create a more meaningful and sustainable learning experience for elementary school students.
