The practice of peer review is an essential part of maintaining substantial standards in publishing and brings out the best possible scientific journal information from the potential authors and researchers globally. All articles submitted that go to the editorial staff will be selected through the desk review and initial manuscript evaluation process by eminent and renowned Editorial Board members. Then, the articles will be sent to the peer reviewers (two reviewers) who are highly appreciated in their fields and will go to the next selection by the single-blind peer review process. Abstract

Pregnancy anemia is a global public health issue and this condition contributes to morbidity and mortality rates among women. 42% of pregnant women worldwide experience anemia. In Jember, East Java, the coverage of pregnant women receiving iron supplement tablets is 88.6% of the total pregnant womens. A health knowledge questionnaire given to respondents in the Sumbersari and Kaliwates areas revealed that most respondents' knowledge about pregnancy anemia is still low. A community service activity on "The Use of Animated Videos as an Educational Medium to Prevent Pregnancy Anemia" has shown that this community service activity can improve the knowledge and attitudes of mothers. Most mothers were very enthusiastic about participating in the counseling activities using animated video media because the material presented was relevant to their needs.

Abstract

The Community Service Program at the Meuseuraya Women's Farmers Group (KWT), Lebo Village, Sidoarjo, focuses on utilizing plastic bag waste (HDPE) into handicraft products with economic value. This activity includes field surveys, lectures, tutorials, discussions, practices and monitoring. The survey results show that there is a large amount of plastic waste that is not processed properly, causing environmental problems. Counseling and training were carried out to improve the skills of KWT women in processing plastic waste into products such as plastic flowers, bags and home decorations. Plastic waste selection and sorting processes are also introduced to ensure the quality of raw materials. This activity succeeded in increasing participants' knowledge and skills, as well as providing plastic waste-based entrepreneurship opportunities that can increase family income and reduce negative environmental impacts. KWT mothers showed high enthusiasm in utilizing plastic waste, creating creative products with high selling value.

Abstract

Rice cultivation activities at Tefa Beras Sehat Polije still depend on the use of inorganic fertilizers. The advantage of inorganic fertilizers is that they decompose faster so that nutrients are absorbed faster by plants (fast release). So that the use of inorganic fertilizers continues to be carried out by farmers. However, dependence on organic fertilizers causes fertilizers to become scarce and their prices to increase. The purpose of this activity is to provide training in making organic fertilizers to the TEFA Beras Sehat Community. This activity took place from September to November 2023. The results of this activity were an 85% increase in skills and knowledge of waste management into organic fertilizers, 20% of partners were aware of the importance of organic fertilizers in environmentally friendly cultivation and 50% of partners had the potential to optimize the use of waste around their homes to become organic fertilizers.

Abstract

Sugar factories during the process of milling sugar cane stalks usually produce solid waste in the form of filter cake or filter cake or filter press mud which amounts to around 3.8% of the weight of the sugar cane. The accumulation of large quantities of filter cake is a source of serious environmental pollution for sugar factories and surrounding communities, whereas during the rainy season, piles of wet filter cake emit a foul smell and pollute the environment. On the other hand, filter cake can be used as organic fertilizer. Long-term application of filter cake fertilizer can increase the physical, biological and chemical fertility of degraded land. Application of filter cake organic fertilizer in sugar cane fields at PG Pradjekan PT. Nusantara Sugar Synergy provides benefits, including: minimizing sources of environmental pollution produced by PG. Pradjekan in the form of filter cake waste, utilizing filter cake waste produced from the process of milling sugar cane stalks into organic filter cake fertilizer, accelerating the decomposition process of filter cake by spraying the decomposer to become organic filter cake fertilizer, creating organic filter cake fertilizer from filter cake waste which can be applied to sugar cane land which is useful for increasing Soil organic carbon levels in sugar cane fields and PG Pradjekan PT. Synergy Gula Nusantara is able to produce and apply organic filter cake fertilizer to its sugar cane fields which is carried out when the sugar cane stalks are 2 months to 4 months old.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where a toddler has less length or height compared to age. The prevalence of toddlers with nutritional problems is highest in East Java, namely Jember Regency with a prevalence of stunting (34.9%), wasting (12.7%) and underweight (24.1%). Kemuning Lor Village, Arjasa District, Jember Regency has quite high cases of nutritional problems among toddlers, reaching 80 toddlers, so efforts are needed to reduce these nutritional problems. The community service team has created the E-Posyandu Kelor System which must be implemented continuously by all posyandu in Kemuning Lor village to carry out early detection of stunting. Apart from that, there is a need for quality nutritional care to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers. This service activity took place at the Kemuning Lor village hall and was attended by health cadres from 11 posyandu in Kemuning Lor village and accompanied by the village midwife. The activities carried out include 1) training of Posyandu cadres regarding the operation of the e-Posyandu kelor, 2) assisting cadres in implementing Posyandu data recording into the e-Posyandu kelor application, and 3) training of posyandu cadres in making MP-ASI and PMT with diversification of local food ingredients. After the service activities, there was an increase skills in making MP-ASI and cadres were able to record posyandu data on the e-posyandu kelor application. Furthermore, cadres are expected to record posyandu data periodically on the e-posyandu kelor application and make quality MP-ASI/PMT to reduce the incidence of stunting

Abstract

The Baitul Quran located in Pekanbaru, is relatively new, which means it has a lot of vacant land. As a result, tree planting is necessary to beautify the environment. Similarly, Pekanbaru Sports High School also has vacant land that needs to be utilized. The methods employed sosialization, planting practise, and evaluation. Sosialization is conducted to enhance the partners' knowledge about the role of trees in mitigating the effects of climate change. Tree planting and maintenance practices are implemented to ensure that partners are capable of planting and caring for trees, contributing to the reduction of global warming. The results at Ponpes Baitul Quran and Pekanbaru Sports High School indicate an increase in student knowledge about climate change. Although students at both schools have a similar understanding of climate change, students at Pekanbaru Sports High School demonstrate a stronger grasp of climate change. In contrast, students at Ponpes Baitul Quran show a better understanding of the practical aspects of planting and maintaining trees. Tree planting on the vacant land at these schools creates microclimate. The survival of the trees ranges from 95% to 99%. The best growth in durian trees, followed by eucalyptus, with areca nut trees showing the lowest.
