Abstract

The upstream oil and gas industry is characterized by high occupational risks and work uncertainty, making contract workers vulnerable to job insecurity. This study aims to examine the effect of job insecurity on employee engagement and its dimensions, namely behavioral, cognitive, and emotional engagement, among contract workers in the upstream oil and gas industry in North Kalimantan. A quantitative causal survey design was employed. The population consisted of 248 contract workers, with 160 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using the Job Insecurity Scale (JIS) and Employee Engagement Scale (EES) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results showed that job insecurity had a negative and significant effect on employee engagement (β = −0.673; p < 0.001; R² = 0.453). Significant negative effects were also found on behavioral, cognitive, and emotional engagement. These findings indicate that higher job insecurity is associated with lower employee engagement among contract workers in the upstream oil and gas industry in North Kalimantan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial accounting standard model applied in the financial statements of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia through a literature review approach. Research data were obtained from scientific journal articles, books, and official documents issued by the Indonesian Institute of Accountants discussing the implementation of Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). The literature search was conducted through Google Scholar and national journal portals using keywords related to MSME financial reporting. Data were analyzed descriptively by comparing previous studies concerning MSME financial statement preparation, the benefits of standard implementation, implementation constraints, and strategies to improve the application of SAK EMKM. The results indicate that SAK EMKM is the most appropriate accounting standard for MSMEs because it is simple, easy to understand, and more practical than other accounting standards. The implementation of SAK EMKM improves the quality of financial statements, supports business decision-making, enhances financial information transparency, and facilitates access to financing from financial institutions. However, its implementation still faces obstacles, including low accounting literacy, limited human resources, inadequate dissemination of the standards, and limited use of financial recording technology. Therefore, continuous training, assistance, and policy support are needed to improve the implementation of SAK EMKM among MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the meaning of vocational high school accounting teachers lived experiences in learning, interpreting, and implementing the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM) in accounting education. A qualitative approach with a transcendental phenomenological design guided by Moustakas was employed to explore the meaning and essence of teachers’ experiences. Five vocational high school accounting teachers with relevant experience in teaching and implementing SAK EMKM participated as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using epoche, horizontalization, clustering of meaning units, textural and structural descriptions, and synthesis of the essence. The findings reveal five central themes: (1) SAK EMKM as new professional knowledge that broadens teachers’ perspectives; (2) SAK EMKM as an accounting standard relevant to the realities and needs of MSMEs; (3) SAK EMKM as a reinforcement of accounting curriculum and teaching practices; (4) teacher competence as a professional responsibility to prepare students for workplace readiness; and (5) teacher competence as a process of continuous professional development. The essence of the experience indicates that teachers’ competence is not a static attribute but an ongoing process of professional transformation shaped by professional learning, reflection, contextual understanding of MSMEs, pedagogical translation, and attention to students’ future work needs. The study contributes a contextual understanding of how vocational accounting teachers experience and translate SAK EMKM into meaningful accounting learning practices rather than measuring competency improvement as a quantitative outcome

Abstract

This study aimed to analyses the resilience of Generation Z in the DKI Jakarta region in facing flood disasters based on human, natural, financial, physical, and social capital. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using non-probability and purposive sampling. A total of 585 responses were collected, while instrument and statistical analyses used 581 complete cases. The analyses included descriptive statistics, validity testing, reliability testing, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measure, Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity, Measure of Sampling Adequacy, principal component analysis, boxplots, and a radar chart. The findings indicate that Generation Z resilience was generally in the high category. Physical capital was relatively the strongest dimension, whereas social capital had the lowest relative score. The main strengths were access to communication and information, while participation in disaster-preparedness groups, ownership of a dedicated emergency bag, and disaster emergency funds still required improvement. Resilience should therefore be strengthened through practical disaster education, community organization, financial preparedness, improved facilities, and environmental management.

Abstract

Micro-scale social media accounts often lack sufficient observations for predictive analytics but still require defensible content and campaign decisions. This design-science proof of concept develops an Instagram marketing analytics pipeline combining funnel ratios, CRITIC weighting, TOPSIS ranking, and full-range weight sensitivity analysis (FRWSA). The pipeline was applied to ten complete-case organic posts and three advertising campaigns from an Indonesian Islamic Montessori daycare account. For organic posts, CRITIC assigned weights of 0.2764 to reach efficiency, 0.3887 to engagement rate, and 0.3349 to follow conversion. TOPSIS ranked the Thursday 04:02 post first with a closeness coefficient of 0.7503, while FRWSA found it dominant in 59.74% of 231 weight vectors. For advertising campaigns, equal weights were used because correlation-based weighting was unsuitable for only three alternatives. The 22–27 November 2025 campaign achieved a TOPSIS score of 1.0000 and ranked first across all 1,771 weight vectors, reflecting Pareto dominance rather than causality. Psychological and consumer-behaviour theory informs the ordering of criteria by behavioural commitment, but no psychological state is measured or inferred. The study contributes a transparent decision-support pipeline for data-scarce social media accounts.

Abstract

Improving primary education quality requires adequate facilities, a positive school culture, and strong teacher work motivation. This study examines the role of facilities and infrastructure and school culture in improving educational quality through teacher work motivation at SD Negeri Banjarwangi, Pandeglang Regency. A qualitative case study approach was employed with purposively selected informants, including the school principal, teachers, and school supervisor. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data trustworthiness was ensured through source and technique triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal that basic educational facilities support learning activities, although limitations remain in digital facilities, instructional media, library resources, and supporting facilities. School culture is reflected in religious values, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, integrity, environmental awareness, and character-building practices. Teacher work motivation is influenced by intrinsic factors, such as professional responsibility and commitment, and extrinsic factors, including leadership support, a supportive work environment, appreciation, professional development opportunities, and available facilities. These factors encourage effective resource utilization, instructional creativity, and improved educational services. The study concludes that educational quality is enhanced through the synergy of facilities, school culture, and teacher motivation, with motivation functioning as a connecting mechanism. The study contributes a qualitative explanation of this integrative mechanism in a public primary school context.
