Abstract

The term “Merdeka Curriculum” is being discussed by both educators and academics. The emergence of this curriculum is anxiety in itself because the education system in Indonesia changes when the Minister of Education changes. Presumably, the concept carried by each curriculum change also tends to be the same, namely adaptation to change. Conceptually, this article will discuss the profile of Pancasila students in strengthening character education in madrasas. The literature review approach is in the form of descriptive analysis. The data used in literature research comes from the text finding and discourse analysis. This research only uses literature sources as data without researchers coming to the field. The results showed that the concept of an independent curriculum in strengthening character education uses a project-based learning approach used in implementing P4 in madrasah. There are three stages in identifying madrasah readiness in determining project-based implementation readiness, namely initial, development, and advanced of  stage. Several stages of strategies can be adapted and developed in the madrasah environment, namely strengthening school culture or creating school culture and the implementation of school student profile projects carried out in intracurricular and extracurricular activities.

Abstract

This study explains the instilling of the values of Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah An-Nahdliyyah in SMK NU students Lamongan by Islamic education teachers to overcome students who are in a moral and ethical crisis so that their behavior deviates from the teachings of values which lead to disagreements between one another and can lead to intolerance and extremes. The research method used is qualitative, then data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation, then data analysis includes data collection, data condensation, data display, and data verification. This study indicates that the efforts made by Islamic Education Teachers in instilling the values of Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah An-Nahdliyyah go through three stages. First, the value transformation stage, through the provision of understanding, and advice. Second, the value transaction stage, through religious activities, instills morals. Third, the stages of trans-internalization of values, through habituation of amaliyah, exemplary and balance in the world and the hereafter. Supporting factors are a majority of Nahdlatul Ulama members, teacher professionalism, and effective Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah learning. The inhibiting factors are lack of literature, students being less responsive, and less discipline. Efforts to prevent the presence of inhibiting factors include adding literature reviews, increasing the creativity of educators, and the need for a personal approach.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, known as "pesantren," represent the oldest Islamic educational institutions that continue to evolve to meet the needs of modern society while preserving their unique educational substance. The journey of these institutions to achieve legal recognition from the government has been challenging and has experienced a long and dynamic process. This study employs a literature review approach involving key steps such as identification, selection, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant literature sources on the research topic. The findings reveal that pesantren have a long history and unique characteristics closely related to the development of Islam in Indonesia. The development of pesantren can be categorized into three groups: salaf (traditional), Khalaf (transitional), and integrated. The Mu'adalah Educational Unit is an innovation that combines religious and general curricula in a balanced manner, reflecting the need for pesantren to adapt to the changing times. Initiatives such as Pesantren Luhur, Ma'had 'Aly, and Ma'had 'Aly as higher education institutions demonstrate the efforts of Pesantren to develop structured and systematic religious higher education. Overall, this transformation illustrates the endeavours of pesantren to adapt and integrate religious and general education, improve the quality and relevance of education, and contribute to the development of society and the Indonesian nation globally.
