Welfare: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of the results of community service. The articles published in the Welfare Journal include the results of original dedication. All publications in the journal Welfare are open access which allows articles to be freely available online without any subscription. Welfare is published four times a year by the literacy service journal as a journal manager at Faculty of Islamic Economis and Business, IAIN Kediri. Welfare accepts manuscripts or articles to strengthen the fields of applied and social sciences from various academics and researchers, both nationally and internationally. The scope is Society Development and Engagement focus on Social, Human Resource Development, Management, Business Management, Islamic Economics, Zakat, infaq, alms, waqf, bank and non-bank financial institutions, and MSMEs.. This journal contains research-based community service results such as PAR (Participatory Action Research), ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development), CBR (Community-Based Research), Service Learning, Community Development, and other methodologies.

Abstract

This outreach program aims to boost the local economy in Pantai Labu Village by developing the potential of its residents as traders. It focuses on enhancing their trading skills, marketing, and business management through participatory approaches that involve the local community in the outreach process, including providing guidance in managing their trading ventures. Research results have shown a significant improvement in the economic well-being of Pantai Labu Village residents who participated in the outreach program. Traders who received training and guidance managed to increase their income. Furthermore, the formation of business groups also facilitated collaboration among traders and joint marketing efforts, enhancing their competitiveness in the local market. Through a participatory approach and appropriate training, the community can improve their trading skills and knowledge, thereby optimizing the local economic potential. This also encourages collaboration and joint marketing, which has a positive impact on trader income and the overall village economy.

Abstract

Community empowerment in preventing stunting must involve various parties, including local government, health workers, community leaders and families. This can be done by increasing access to quality health, nutrition and sanitation services in Aenganyar village. Health workers also have an important role in community empowerment. They can provide education and training to the public about the importance of balanced nutrition, the introduction of MP-ASI, and the importance of a healthy diet. Apart from that, they can also monitor and evaluate the nutritional status of children in Aenganyar village. Families need to realize the importance of preventing stunting and adopting a healthy and nutritious diet for their children. In addition, they need to access health services related to stunting prevention, such as immunization, exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding. By making efforts to empower the community in preventing stunting in Aenganyar village, it is hoped that it can reduce the prevalence of stunting in the area. This has a positive impact on the growth and development of children in Aenganyar village, as well as improving their quality of life and future.

Abstract

Family medicinal plants (TOGA) or now better known as Family Medicine Gardens are plants that can be cultivated in the yard of the house and have benefits as traditional herbal medicines. The existence of TOGA in the home environment is very important, especially for families who do not have access to health services. In addition, the problem faced by the community in Beringin Kencana Village, Candipuro District, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province in developing TOGA through the use of their yards is the community's knowledge about the types of plants that are efficacious as medicine. The purpose of this activity is to increase public understanding regarding the utilization yard for making TOGA as an effort to supply family herbal medicines. This service involves the community and KKN students. The methods used in the implementation of community service include elaboration, demonstrations, and the practice of planting TOGA. The result of this planting is that the community not only knows the benefits but also the community is asked to cultivate TOGA so that the community can use it in efforts to maintain health and treat disease. It can be concluded from this activity that the community's knowledge regarding the use of their yards for making TOGA is very good where the community starts making TOGA in their yards.

Abstract

The Pujasera Fishing Pond Revitalization Program through Festival Activities (P-FEST) is a strategic step in combating the serious challenges faced by village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) in Sumberpakem Village. Lack of innovation and marketing strategies, limited managerial skills among BUMDes member farmers, and declining demand for fish products are the main focus. Collaborative KKN students, collaborating with BUMDes administrators, collect data through surveys and interviews. P-FEST events, including batik educational tourism, collage competitions, cooking competitions, and MSME bazaars, involve elementary and middle school students in an effort to preserve batik crafts and develop the creativity of the younger generation. The service activity method uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The results include increased community participation and understanding, revitalization of the food court pool, as well as social and economic strengthening of Sumberpakem Village. This program aims to revive BUMDes businesses, revive the village economy, and introduce superior village products through collaborative activities involving the entire community. The P-FEST program and ABCD method encourage community independence in managing local resources to improve village welfare.

Abstract

Highly developed technology is utilized for various purposes, including by MSMEs. Some residents feel that technology has an impact on dependency, especially internet use. Utilization of the internet as a means of information technology to carry out business activities for MSMEs. The aim of this community service is to socialize the application of digital marketing to support product marketing for MSMEs in Bekare village, Bungkal subdistrict, Ponorogo district. The method used in this service uses the ABCD method, which provides digital marketing training assistance to MSMEs in Bekare Village. The results of implementing this activity are that mentoring has had a positive impact on the community and MSMEs in Bekare Village in the form of increasing sales, increasing brand awareness, strengthening skills, and improving product quality. In this training, the role of companions is very important in providing support, guidance and motivation for the Bekare Village community. With this community service, the people of Bekare Village can increase their knowledge about the use of social media as a means of introducing effective MSME products.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide opportunities for students and lecturers to develop communication skills and become reliable and professional MCs. By involving 30 participants, the training was held on July 17, 2023, with Gendhis Widhi, an expert in the field of Master of Ceremonies and public communications, as speaker. The interactive learning methods used, such as group discussions, simulations, and hands-on exercises, succeeded in increasing the participants' understanding of the training material. The evaluation results showed a high level of satisfaction among the participants. They stated that there was an increase in communication skills and self-confidence after attending the training. The participants also appreciated the selection of experienced presenters and relevant materials. This activity succeeded in creating a generation of students and lecturers who are better prepared to face the challenges of a competitive world of work. With better communication skills, participants are ready to contribute to various events and activities on campus and in the community.

Abstract

The Community Service Program in Blederan Village, Mojotengah District, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java, aims to look closely at the socio-cultural conditions of the community on the highest plateau of the island of Java. This activity emphasizes understanding and motivation for the residents of Blederan Village, encouraging them to continue their education in order to improve welfare and accelerate development in the village. A multidimensional approach is applied in the fields of education, economics, health, environment and culture. The service method involves education, training and coaching activities directly to the community. The main focus is to provide insight into the importance of education, economic empowerment, attention to health, environmental preservation, and development of local culture. The results of the service include increasing public understanding of the importance of education, economic growth through small and medium businesses, improving health conditions, sustainable environmental management practices, as well as preserving and developing local culture. This program is expected to have a positive impact in improving the quality of life and welfare of the people of Blederan Village.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve skills and provide opportunities for orphans, poor people, and people with disabilities in the world of film through director training. The method involves the active participation of participants in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The training was held on July 7-8, 2023, at the Yogyakarta Film Academy with a focus on understanding directors, including screenplay scripts, locations, characterization, timing, and director responsibilities. A total of 15 participants produced a film entitled "Ulat Becomes a Butterfly," which was uploaded on the Teach4Hope Indonesia YouTube page. This activity provides free education and job training, utilizes technology to create enlightening and inspiring film works, and has a positive impact on participants by increasing their skills and independence in the world of film.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) is entitled Training on Searching Teaching Materials from the Internet for Teachers. In the era of globalization, teachers should be more productive in developing teaching materials. Teachers must have broad insight in an effort to improve education. Teachers do not only transfer information/learning materials to students. The material taught by teachers must be varied and not only come from textbooks, but there is information as learning material that can be obtained through other sources. One source that can be used as a medium for searching for the latest information is the internet. The internet is not a rare item nowadays. Almost every time we use the internet in every activity to look for various reference materials and the information we need. Currently in Pangkep district, teachers certainly have a variety of learning media and teaching materials that are used in the teaching and learning process. Teachers can access very diverse information for their teaching materials. After carrying out the Training activity on Searching Teaching Materials from the Internet for Teachers in Pangkep Regency, it can be concluded as follows: The participants were very enthusiastic in taking part in this activity. After the implementing team carried out observations and evaluations, it was discovered that more than 80% of the participants had been able to prepare teaching materials.

Abstract

Online media is a method of presenting and marketing products, for example, through advertising. The explanation in the webinar includes the benefits of online marketing and the activities required. Service Method, a preliminary survey to understand partner needs. Planning online marketing activities. Counseling on the creation and use of online marketing for each branch. Evaluate activities to ensure they are in accordance with planning. Online media now plays a key role in buying, selling, and product introduction. SME Fortuna Handycraft, with 10 years of experience, is faced with technological, marketing, and managerial obstacles. The UKM Indonesia Bangkit program provides a solution by procuring production machines and an Android-based Management Information System (SIMBA). This solution increases productivity and helps in marketing through online communications.
