Abstract

This study aims to explore using religious language to socialize the COVID-19 vaccination in new media. This study is qualitative research. The source of data in this study is the official online platform of the Komite Penanganan COVID-19 Republic of Indonesia's, namely websites and social media. The data collected is related to the use of religious language in socializing the COVID-19 vaccination. Data collection is carried out through observation of the official online platform. The data obtained were then analyzed by means of an interactive qualitative analysis model of Miles and Huberman: data collection, data display, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. There are three findings in this study. First, religious terms and language used in the socialization of COVID-19 vaccination have a pattern based on the dynamics of socio-cultural reality and vaccination achievements. Second, the terms and religious language used to relate to the legitimacy of the permissibility and halalness of vaccines. This tendency aims to convince the public of the vaccination program. Third, religious figures, institutions, and facilities are used as tools to legitimize socialization messages. Departing from these findings, it can be concluded that religion is not only related to the dimension of spirituality but also consumed and commodified with a specific purpose. In the context of this study, the consumption and commodification of religion were carried out by the Komite Penanganan COVID-19 in the socialization of vaccination using religious terms, narratives, and language as legitimacy tools to convince the public about the importance of vaccination.

Abstract

Poverty alleviation is one of the highlights of the Baznas movement as a zakat management center in Indonesia. This highlight is realized in the determination of the poor mustahiq carried out by Baznas. This is where it becomes important to have a comprehensive assessment of the determination of the poor mustahiq. This research is a library research using a normative-philosophical approach. The use of the Maqasid Shariah theory of Jasser Auda in this study is used as a philosophical perspective for analyzing the Decision of Baznas’s Chairman Number 33 of 2019. The results indicate that through the Decision of Baznas’s Chairman Number 33 of 2019, the determination of the poor mustahiq is carried out by involving the Integrated Data Social Welfare belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs as an instrument in the analysis of “had kifayah” by Baznas. This determination is intended to explore the greater benefit in the distribution of zakat. The theoretical perspective of the systems approach from Maqasid Shariah Jasser Auda in analyzing the Decision of the Chairman of Baznas Number 33 of 2019 is the determination of the poor mustahiq to be an element that will always be dynamic and in harmony with the aim of providing more benefits of zakat distribution than before.

Abstract

Indonesia has the potential to become halal tourism during the development of a sizeable Muslim population in the world. Indonesia's diverse cuisine is an essential shot at the halal industry to ensure that the food production process follows halal standards, one of which is through certification. With the role of Culinary MSMEs in implementing the halal production chain, it can meet the spiritual needs of Indonesian Muslims and even the world, as well as being a consideration for cons`1``umers to choose halal cuisine that is guaranteed to be healthy and free of illicit content. This study aims to explore the influence of halal literacy that encourages the knowledge, attitudes, and spirituality of Culinary MSME owners on the commitment of Indonesian Culinary MSMEs to halal practice standards in the food production chain. This study was carried out with a survey of Culinary MSME Owners with Islamic Religious Identity in Indonesia who have gone through a halal assessment process from the MUI or BPJPH of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, and the data results were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that halal literacy is a driving factor for Islamic knowledge, attitudes, and spirituality in the commitment of Indonesian Culinary MSME owners to standard halal practices in the production chain. This study forms three implications for Indonesian Culinary MSME owners, the Government, and Academics.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the concept of destiny from the perspective of Muhammad Syahrur and Robert Kane. The Destiny considered by Most of people to be something particular, turns out to be something that humans can still control. This opinion is undoubtedly contrary to the opinion of the majority. According to Syahrur, humans still have a significant role to play in determining their age, sustenance, and deeds, while according to Kane, humans have free will, which is not even suitable with God's provisions. This research is library research using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method, which consists of text analysis linguistically, discursive analysis or text production, and social practice analysis. This study concludes that Syahrur's opinion regarding the concept of destiny that humans can still control is obtained from an analysis of the verses of the Qur'an, which talk about age, sustenance and human charity with a linguistic approach and Kane uses a critical-logical analysis approach to the previous opinions that has existed Before. The result of the study found that according to Syahrur, the destiny is in the form of a collection of terms and conditions collected in one book, if these terms and conditions are fulfilled will cause a certain phenomenon, whether it is death, life, long or short life and so on. Meanwhile, according to Kane, human free will is like the garden of the forking path, where humans can choose which way to go without coercion from any party.
