Abstract

Students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah as prospective teachers are expected to have a positive attitude towards the Teaching Profession so that they will display a good perception and satisfaction with the forerunner, future work, and high work motivation, which in turn will reflect a prospective teacher who is able to work professionally and has competence high professional. This study aims to reveal the attitudes of students of the Faculty of Tarbiyah as prospective teachers towards the Teaching Profession, and whether prospective teachers have a positive attitude towards the Teaching Profession. In this research, what is meant by the attitude of prospective teacher students towards the Teaching Profession is a tendency of a prospective teacher in responding to the likes or dislikes of the Teaching Profession, which is ultimately expressed in the form of actions or behaviors related to the prospective Profession, this research is a descriptive study. Which uses a survey method using a questionnaire. The population in this study were student teacher candidates at the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Sorong, in this study the research sample was taken using a questionnaire, namely the sampling technique by looking at the distribution that represents the questions with a total sample of 61 people. The data collection technique used a half-open questionnaire method. The results of the study were analyzed by paying attention to the proportion of each student teacher's attitude towards the questionnaire given by the percentage technique. The results showed that most of the students of the Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Sorong as prospective teachers had a positive attitude towards the Teaching Profession

Abstract

The aims of this study are: 1) to find out what cultural values ​​are developing in MI Al-Ma'arif 1 Sorong Regency, 2) to find out the characteristics of character cultural values ​​that develop in MI Al-Ma'arif 1 Sorong Regency, and 3) knowing the pattern of character culture education that has been applied. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The research subjects were students of MI Al-Ma'arif 01 Sorong Regency. Data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires are used as supporting data in analyzing student character. The data analysis technique used the percentage technique. A series of values, norms, traditions, and habits are set by the school as a guide for school members in thinking, acting, and acting. The results of this study indicate that there are several customary activities implemented at the school, including the culture of greeting, praying sunnah dhuha, reading the Qur'an, praying before and after studying and paying infaq every Friday.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out and find information about the impact of online learning on SD/MI students. The study used the literature review method. The results showed that the learning process during the pandemic changed by using a remote network. This has an impact on teachers because they are less than optimal in providing learning materials and disrupting the learning process which causes the expected learning objectives to not be achieved. So that it makes the material incomplete and the use of learning media in online learning is not optimal. Students’ assessments are also hampered by mere cognitive assessments. Another impact is also felt by students where they feel that online learning makes them unable to study face-to-face with the teacher. Accustomed to studying with their friends while joking. Adapting to online learning certainly takes time for students. A gradual process is needed so that students are able to accept changes in the new learning system for them.

Abstract

Globalization is a global process. Globalization affects almost all aspects of life, and can not be avoided both positive and negative effects, especially on education. So that educators must be more professional and creative, students who master technology from an early age. The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of globalization on educators and students. The method used is the method of literature study (literatus) and documentation. The results of this study are that globalization has brought changes to all aspects of life, especially in the world of education. Globalization can have both positive and negative impacts on the world of education. It has a positive impact if it makes changes that bring Indonesian education to a more advanced direction, and a negative impact if it reduces the quality of education itself. In the era of globalization, teachers also play an important role in developing students. Teachers not only give lessons but also develop the character of students in a professional and quality era. In addition, as a teacher, you must have good ethics and noble character so that you can set an example for students. In the era of globalization, teachers must be able to provide good teaching to their students. In the era of globalization, teachers must be able to face challenges, namely by providing orientation, not theories but practice to create learning that will later form an independent character in students for future provisions

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how the teacher's role in increasing student motivation in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to find out how the role and efforts of teachers in increasing students' learning motivation. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study stated that the teacher's role in increasing student motivation at SD Inpres 17 Remu Sorong City was by giving assignments, training to students, then the teacher providing reinforcement, approach, and guidance by conducting meaningful learning as a facilitator and mentor when students have difficulty in the learning process. The teacher's efforts in increasing student learning motivation are by using approach methods, peer tutors, home visits and are given reinforcement by embracing students so that students are active in learning and work together with schools, government, and parents to achieve good learning outcomes.

Abstract

Does the research aim to find out: 1) How are students' perceptions? using the WhatsApp Application in learning during the pandemic; 2) what only the obstacles experienced by students in using the WhatsApp application learning Akidah Akhlak safe during the pandemic. This research uses a Descriptive Qualitative approach in which this research looks at the phenomena that occur around. By using data through interviews and documentation. After The data collected means that the research instrument used is valid. Based on interviews with teachers and also students that the perception of students in the use of the WhatsApp application in learning Akidah Akhlak during the pandemic period has a positive effect and can be accepted by teachers and students.

Abstract

The research aims to determine: 1) numeracy skills in students from kindergarten; 2) numeracy skills in non-kindergarten students, and 3) comparison of numeracy skills in students from kindergarten and non-kindergarten. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey research type with a population of 84 students. Sampling using saturated sampling by making the entire population the research sample. Data was collected by giving test questions. The results showed that: 1) the numeracy skills of kindergarten graduate students were in the high category (68%); 2) the ability to count in non-kindergarten students is in the high category (60%); 3) there is a difference in numeracy skills between kindergarten and non-kindergarten graduate students. Kindergarten education is recommended before entering elementary school so that students' ability to understand numbers can be more mature.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the role of teachers in shaping self-confidence in SD IES Al-Ghuroba, Sorong Regency. Overcoming the collapse of the character is to eliminate or improve the factors that cause it. There are five areas of education that can foster good character, namely: family, self, school, environment, and society. The development of national character is a collective commitment of the Indonesian people to face today's global demands. This study aims to determine the efforts of teachers in shaping the confident character of students and also the obstacles faced by teachers in shaping the confident character of students and their solutions. To achieve the above objectives, the type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Based on the results of direct observations and interviews between researchers and principals, teachers, and students at SD IES Al-Ghuroba. The results of the study indicate the efforts made by the teacher namely: giving motivation to students, giving praise or gifts, and often presenting them in front of their friends in turn in class. The obstacles faced by teachers in increasing the confidence of students are the mindset of students who are different and there are still some students who lack self-confidence. Therefore, the solution taken by the teacher as an educator is to try as much as possible to guide and provide strong motivation and encouragement to students so that they have self-confidence

Abstract

Strategy in the world of education is very important, in relation to building mathematical representation skills. A teacher not only focuses on student learning outcomes or student achievement but also, has planning in building student competencies, one of which is the ability mathematical representation. This study aims to analyze the initial ability mathematical representation of students and describe the strategies applied by the teacher in building mathematical representation skills at MI AL-Ma'arif Sorong Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the source of research data taken by purposive sampling, namely 3 students from the number of students in the class. Data collection techniques with the help of instruments, namely modules and mathematical representation videos, individual student math journals, problem packages mathematical representation, interviews, observations, and documentation. Analysis on student's journal of mathematics the mathematical representation used is only symbolic representation is verbal mathematical representation and visual representation almost absolutely do not students use it in solving or mathematical problem solving. Based on the data from the initial ability test results mathematical representation is still low based on ability indicators representation is 8.3, while the pretest score is 64.7. In describe the strategies that the teacher applies based on the results of the posttest undergoing changes and improvements based on indicators of ability representation is 16, while the posttest assessment is 97. The results showed that there was a strong relationship between students' mathematical strategies and representations. The conclusion obtained is strategies used by teachers in learning contribute to build students' mathematical representation skills, especially on fractions.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the learning outcomes of pancasila and citizenship education (PPKn) subjects between grade IV students who follow the merdeka curriculum and the 2013 curriculum. The background of this study is based on the differences in pedagogical approaches between the two curricula, as well as the importance of examining the effectiveness of curriculum implementation in improving students’ academic achievement. The study used a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The subjects of the study consisted of students of SD Inpres 17 Sorong regency (merdeka curriculum) and MI AL Ishlah Sorong city (2013 curriculum). Data were obtained through documentation of mid-semester exam (UTS) scores and analysed using an independent t-test with the help of SPSS software. The results of the analysis showed a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.006686), where students who followed the merdeka curriculum obtained higher UTS scores. These findings indicate that the flexible and contextual approach in the merdeka curriculum is more effective in improving student learning outcomes in PPKn subjects. This research provides an empirical contribution to the decision-making of curriculum policies and learning strategies that are more adaptive to the needs of students at the elementary education level.
