Abstract

Child marriage is a serious issue that has a negative impact on children's health, education and welfare. The aim of this activity is to explore the prevention of child marriage at the Ash Shamadi NW Tanak Maik Islamic Boarding School Foundation as an effort to increase public awareness and knowledge regarding the impact of underage marriage. Through an outreach program involving students from the Ash Shamadi NW Tanak Maik Islamic Boarding School Foundation, it is hoped that it can increase understanding of the dangers and consequences of child marriage. This activity was carried out using a qualitative approach through interviews and observations. The results of the activity showed that the outreach was successful in increasing participants' awareness of the importance of postponing marriage and the need to protect children's rights. The method used in this socialization activity is by presenting material, interactive discussions, and counseling about the consequences of health, education, and children's rights. Socialization participants experienced increased knowledge regarding the dangers of child marriage, with most participants revealing that they previously did not understand the psychological and social impacts of marriage at an early age. This program was also successful in increasing participants' commitment to supporting the movement to prevent child marriage in Islamic boarding schools and the community. It is hoped that this outreach activity can be expanded to involve more parties, including families and the government, in order to create greater social change regarding the issue of child marriage.

Abstract

The innovative processing of palm sugar from the sugar palm tree has great potential as a superior product of Guntur Macan Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency, but still faces various challenges, especially in terms of legality and marketing. Many business actors in Guntur Macan Village do not yet have LPH halal certification and BPOM distribution permits, which are obstacles in expanding the market and increasing the selling value and competitiveness of products. This community service program aims to improve the understanding and skills of palm sugar business actors in obtaining business legality through a series of activities, such as MSME surveys, socialization, and assistance in making certifications. The results of the activities showed that before the socialization, the majority of business actors did not have permits due to limited knowledge and cost constraints. However, after the socialization, 88.4% of participants understood the importance of business legality, and most considered this program useful in increasing product competitiveness. Further assistance is needed to simplify the licensing process and provide access to capital for business actors so that they can develop more optimally and increase the selling value of palm sugar products.

Abstract

Borok Toyang Village, located in the West Sakra District, East Lombok Regency, has a very high potential for livestock farming, especially cattle and goats. However, farmers still face difficulties in providing high-quality feed for their livestock to ensure optimal growth and productivity. The traditional feed used reduces livestock growth and increases production costs. To address this issue, the socialization of elephant grass fermentation, a better livestock feed innovation, was carried out. This activity involves initial observation, socialization, and direct training for farmers in Borok Toyang Village. Observation was conducted to determine the condition of the farms and the feeding patterns. The training included the direct preparation of fermented feed, and socialization was provided through seminars and open discussions about the benefits of fermentation. The results of the activities show that farmers have a better understanding of the importance of innovation in providing livestock feed. It has been proven that the fermentation of elephant grass accelerates livestock growth, improves the nutritional quality of feed, and reduces dependence on expensive commercial feed. Additionally, this method helps ensure the availability of quality feed, especially during the dry season. Some farmers have expressed interest in adopting this method independently and plan to form small groups to share experiences in its implementation. Farmers in Borok Toyang Village hope to independently produce more livestock, reduce production costs, and enhance the village's economic resilience through livestock farming with this socialization and training.

Abstract

South Sikur Village is one of the villages in Sikur sub-district, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. One of the potentials owned by Sikur Selatan Village is in the field of agriculture which is estimated to be more than 60% of the total village land area. The use of chemical fertilisers is the main method used by the village community. The application of organic farming such as using bokashi and POC fertilisers is a simple step and the materials needed are abundant in nature. In addition, the use of organic fertilisers can improve the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the soil so that it supports plant growth. The purpose of this service is to provide understanding and training for the Sikur Selatan Village community, the majority of whom are farmers, to utilise the village potential in the form of rice husks and bamboo roots into bokashi fertiliser and POC for sustainable agriculture. The method used is the socialisation of making bokashi fertiliser and POC. Farmers' understanding of the material provided can be seen from the enthusiasm of the community during the activity so that farmers gain new knowledge to be more skilled in utilising village potential
