Abstract

Stunting is a serious public health issue in Indonesia, including in Gadung Mas Village, Sakra Barat District, East Lombok Regency, where the prevalence reaches 25%. The main causes include lack of nutrition, poor socio-economic conditions, and low awareness of health and nutrition. To address this issue, KKN students from Mataram University conducted a stunting prevention program, which included parenting and nutrition education, supplementary feeding (PMT), and child growth monitoring at the Posyandu (integrated health post). The education sessions aimed to improve parents' and pregnant women's understanding of the importance of proper nutrition during pregnancy and early childhood. The PMT program used local food sources such as moringa leaves to improve the nutritional status of children and pregnant women. Meanwhile, the Posyandu played a role in monitoring children's growth and providing nutrition education for parents. The results showed that community-based interventions effectively increased awareness of balanced nutrition and encouraged healthier feeding practices. Positive responses from the community and health volunteers (Posyandu cadres) indicate the potential for program sustainability in reducing stunting rates. This approach is expected to continue and expand to improve children's quality of life in Gadung Mas Village and surrounding areas.

Abstract

Aik Bukaq Village, located in Batukliang Utara District, Central Lombok Regency, has abundant natural potential, especially in the agricultural sector, with superior products in the form of avocado and coffee. However, this potential has not been optimally managed to attract the attention of the outside community. Therefore, this study aims to develop avocado coffee as a superior local product of Aik Bukaq Village which can become a characteristic of the village. Through observation, training, and promotion methods, this activity aims to improve community skills in processing avocado coffee and introduce this product through online and offline marketing (Fitriani & Mulyadi, 2021). The results of the activity show that the development of avocado coffee can improve the local economy and attract tourists (Dewi & Saputra, 2023). This product is also in line with global sustainability trends, reduces waste, and has the potential to become a culinary symbol that supports village tourism (Gunawan & Wibowo, 2020). Thus, the development of avocado coffee in Aik Bukaq Village has the potential to have a positive impact on improving the welfare of the local community and introducing the village as a tourist destination rich in natural and cultural potential.

Abstract

Lebah Sempage Village is rich in crops, especially from plantations, agriculture, livestock, and natural beauty. One of the products produced is oyster mushroom chips, which has been cultivated since 2016 by the Women Farmers Group (KWT) by utilizing sawdust waste. However, the number of oyster mushroom processors is decreasing because many choose to sell them directly to collectors. To overcome this, an innovative participatory based training was held with the aim of motivating the community to be more creative in processing crops, especially oyster mushrooms. This training succeseded in changing mindsets, improving skills, and encouraging community independence in managing oyster mushroom products.
