Abstract

This research aim is to know, 1) where give better influence, convensional learning orjigsaw toward learning acievement? 2) ) where give better influence in learning,studentwith high motivation,medium and low toward study acievement trig matery? 3) forstudent with various motivation, where learning model give batter influence, konvensionallearning or Jigsaw toward study trig acievement? Population in this research is all ofeighth Mts Abu Darrin Kendal, in the academic year of 2013/2014 is many as 109 studentsdivided become 4 class, with detail of class VIIIa consist from 28 students, VIIIb, VIIIcand VIIId this all class consist from 27 students. Be based on result cluster randomsampling, class become sample in the research is class VIIIa as experiment class andVIIIc as control class. Technique of analyzing the data in this research use variance twostreet analysis with difference sel. Prerequisite test involve the use of research analysisof data is normalitas test with Lilliefors methode and homogenitas test with Bartleetmethode. Conclusion: 1). Learning Mathematics Achievement of students teachableused Jigsaw Learning better than conventional learning, 2). Learning MathematicsAchievement of students with high motivation better then medium and low motivation.Such Learning Mathematics Achievement of students with medium motivation be betterthen low motivation. 3). There is not interaction between learning methode with studentsmotivation, so Learning Mathematics Achievement of students with high, medium andlow motivation teachable used Jigsaw Learning better than conventional learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of adolescent students who loses hervirginity and do free sex, to analyze supporting factors that make adolescents and studentseasily do free sex, a risk that must be faced by teenagers and students after losing virginityand free sex, to develop a model of prevention and reduction of free sex culture amongstudents. The research shows that the factors that causes loss of virginity in adolescents are:unhealthy courtship factors, influenced values among teenagers, influenced values in theneighborhood. The factors that cause teenagers to have free sex are easy: loss of virginity,condom as avoidance beliefs on sexual risk-free, the availability of cheap hotel serves freesex activity. Risks faced by adolescents after losing virginity include: the risk burden to keepa secret that they was not a virgin, the risk of addiction to repeat the free sex, the risk ofpregnancy so they will be dropped out from school, reproductive health risks. While themodel is a model of free sex prevention outreach to parents, schools, government and societythat sex is a new emerging values established among teenagers.

Abstract

This research of speech level variaties in the Javanese language of Pacitan regency,in the multilingual context based on sociolinguistic study aims at; (1) identifying andmaking inventory of Javanese languge speech levels in Pacitan regency, (2) identifyingthe characteristics of the Javanese language speech level in Pacitan, (3) identifyingand describing the Javanese speech level in Pacitan regency pertaining to the level ofthe respect perceived by speaker toward hearer. This research is a kind of descriptivequalitative, especially investigating a case study of the variaties of Javanese languagespeech level use, in Pacitan regency. The method of this research is: (1) a method ofproviding data, with a few techniques. Those are listening, speaking, cooperating withinformants and questionnaires; (2) the method of the data analysis is managed byusing four chronological groove, namely 1) domain analysis, 2) taxonomy analysis, 3)componential analysis, and 4) cultural values analysis. Based on the research findings,the Javanese speech level in Pacitan regency is not much different from the Javaneselanguage used in Solo-Yogyakarta that is claimed to be the center of the Javaneselanguage. It can not be denied because Pacitan is closer to Solo and Yogyakarta in adistance rather than Surabaya although Pacitan regency includes East Java Province.Based on the research, Pacitan society tends to use BJK when interacting with stranger,officer, father/mother, grandfather/grandmother, uncle/aunt, both in formal and informalsituations. Ngoko Javanese language (BJN) or low level of Javanese language willbe used to interact with friends, children, underlings and servants both in formal andinformal situations. The tendency does not mean that all informants speak like that. Itis proved from the availability of the informant who says that they use BJK in formalsituations to underlings on behalf of giving appreciation for learning, especially to thechildren how they should speak in formal situations.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify whether or not: (1) Graphic Organizer is moreeffective than Lecture to teach reading; (2) students who have high motivation have betterreading skill than those who have low motivation; and (3) there is an interaction effectbetween teaching methods and the students’ motivation on the students’ reading skill. Theresearch was conducted in IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, East Java. The research was conductedfrom March to May 2014. The method used for the research was experimental study. Thepopulation of the research was the fourth semester students of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Thesampling used was cluster random sampling. The sample of the research was two classes,they were experimental class taught using Graphic Organizer and control class taught usingLecture. The instruments used to collect the data were students’ motivation questionnaire inthe form of likert scale and reading test in the form of multiple choice. Meanwhile, to analyzethe data, Multifactor Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) test 2 x 2 and Tukey test were used. Thedata analysis shows the following findings: (1) Graphic Organizer is more effective thanLecture to teach reading for the fourth semester students of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro; (2) thestudents who have high motivation have better reading skill than those who have lowmotivation; and (3) there is an interaction between teaching methods and students’motivation to teach reading at the fourth semester students of IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Basedon the research findings, it can be concluded that Graphic Organizer is an effectivetechnique to teach reading for the fourth semester students of English Education Department,IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, in the academic year 2013/2014. The effectiveness of this techniqueis affected by students’ motivation level.

Abstract

This was a quantitative study which was ex post facto in nature. The data collectinginstruments consisted of a questionnaire and a mathematics learning achievement test.The results of the study show that: 1) there are not effects together of self confidenceand students’ anxiety towards Mathematics as an aggregate on Mathematics learningachievements; 2) there are relationship between self confidence and students Mathematicslearning achievements.

So the researchers probedthe initial data from the philosophy of science that had been developed by the Greekphilosophers. Many experts were debating the onset of science. Some stated that scienceexisted since pre-history, in which the time, according to the experts, was declared as theperiod of pre-history (not familiar with writing).

Abstract

The concern of the paper is the bilingual education conducted at SMP Negeri I Bojonegoro.The study attempts to investigate and to find out the research problems dealing with theinfluence of bilingual education on students’ speaking English competence, communicativeenvironment motivating students to have awareness to speak in English, bilingualmethodology in the classrooms, and the impediments encountered by the teachers andstudents in employing bilingual learning. The research design of the study is descriptivequalitative using triangulation technique in collecting the required data. The population isseventh and eighth graders students of SMPN 1 Bojonegoro in the academic year of2013/2014. Meanwhile, the theoretical samples of the study are taken based on the use ofbilingual across subject contents (sciences and mathematics) at year VII A and VIII A. Theresult of the study shows that the program raises the students’ and teachers’ awareness inbilingual education as it is used in specific contents subject. It consequently enhances themotivation for foreign language learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop LKM (Student Worksheet) with KKNI oriented (IndonesianNational Qualifications Framework) for strengthening the scientific approach to thecourse Differential Equations. Knowing how the level of validity, practicality andeffectiveness of LKM (Student Worksheet) with KKNI oriented (Indonesian NationalQualifications Framework) for Strengthening Scientific Approach to DifferentialEquations courses have been developed. In accordance with the problems studied, themethod used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach developedreferring to the phase of Fenrich P, (2007). Data collection techniques used wereobservation, testing, and deployment of the type of closed questionnaire. Data analysistechnique was done by descriptive analysis of quantitative and qualitative (mixingmethod).This research activity has been carried out through several phases, such asanalysis, planning, design, development, and implementation. The result showed that LKM(Student Worksheet) with KKNI oriented (Indonesian National Qualifications Framework)for strengthening the scientific approach Differential Equations courses fulfilled thecriteria of validity and practicality. Developed Student Worksheet can not be said to be agood device because it has not fulfilled the criteria of effectiveness.
