Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out the meaning variations between JohnSteinbeck’s of Mice and Men (original version) and Premoedya Ananta Toer’s Tikusdan Manusia (translated version) and the probable reasons that motivate the occurrenceof meaning variations between John Steinbeck’s of Mice and Men (original version)and Premoedya Ananta Toer’s Tikus dan Manusia (translated version). This researchwas descriptive quantitative research. The data were gathered through reading both ofthe novels and putting the clauses into the table to be analyzed. The results showedthat the meaning differences between SL and TL were classified into seven levels ofmeaning differences: the lowest differences, very low differences, low differences,medium differences, high differences, very high differences, and the highest differences.The meaning differences were caused by eleven factors, namely the element and clauseomission, the element and clause addition, the changing of word, the different sense ofword, the use of informal word in SL and the formal word in TL, the deletion of markingrelationship/conjunction between clauses, the use of idioms, the use of active formationin SL and passive formation in TL, the changing of back and forth formation or structureshift.

Abstract

This research aimed at determining whether the Team Game method can increasephysical fitness on the fifth grade students of Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah elementaryschool Condongcatur. The research was carried out in Yogyakarta Muhammadiyahelementary school Condongcatur from July to October 2014. Further, the subject of thisresearch was the fifth grade students of Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah elementary schoolCondongcatur schooling year 2014-2015 consisting of 40 students who are 21 maleand 19 female students. This research implemented Classroom Action Research (CAR)within the analysis by comparing the precondition of students, test results after the firstcycle and test results after the second cycle. Based on the research findings, it could beconcluded that the team game method could be used as an attempt to increase the physicalfitness of students on the fifth grade elementary school children Condongcatur YogyakartaMuhammadiyah schooling year 2014/2015 which was proved from the study that has beencarried out in the first cycle and the second cycle. Almost all students experienced thesignificant increase in physical fitness. This was also proved that after the first cycle test,there is only one student whose physical fitness test is less. After the second cycle was thencarried out, there is no longer student of whose physical fitness test is low

Abstract

This research is constituted by the application of teaching early reading literacyimpplemented in some schools across ex-residency Madiun. The teaching shouldimplement character based teaching as an introduction into the ability of early readingliteracy. That is carried out for various reasons, for example, the demands of the students’parent, the demands of the furhter school level, commercial reasons, and so forth. Thisstudy implemented a combination of research methods. Initiated into content validityanalysis or analysis of existing learning contents based on theory of study the effectivenessof learning, then combined with observations and school interviews and literature study,narrowing the findings to lead the new concept for early reading literacy learning. 40Schools being randomly selected were used in this research in the ex-residency Madiun.These research findings illustrated the true condition about the application of early readingliteracy learning in the field. Referring to the findings of questionnaires and interviews,the teaching of early reading literacy was delivered in additional learning program.This made it possible to avoid infringement of the government rules about unpermittedlearning at that level. Besides, those were found the lack of some language componentsthat allows the imperfectness of introduction and readiness of children to acquaint thelanguage. Furthermore, it lacked involvement of children playing environment both athome and at school for learning outcome optimality. Finally those findings were used asa reference to create an integrated learning tools in the children’s playground in the formof teachers and parents’ guide.

Abstract

The vision of national education development is “Realization of intelligent, productive,and noble people in Indonesia.” Section 8 states that “Teachers have to be obligatoryto have academic qualification, competence, educator certificate, be physically andmentally health, and have the ability to realize the goal of national education”. NationalEducation Standard is an aim as one of the quality education assurance to be properlyimplemented and not be just a symbol. National Education Standard, whcih includescontent and process standard, graduate competency, educator and educational personnel,facility and infrastructure, management, financing, educational assessment, accreditationand others, are major requirement for the government that needs standard competencyand quality of education. Teacher is a human component for the learning process that hasa role of reaching the determined educational goals. Therefore, teaching is a professionalwork, because of the technique and procedure use which stand on an intellectual basis onbehalf of the other benefits.

Abstract

This research had attempted to find out a solution for teacher in assessing individuallearners authentically. The method used in the preparation of this article is derived fromthe literature review to obtain formulation of the problem, data collection, discussion,conclusion and suggestion. Based on the hypothesis testing using t test, it was concludedthat Role Play method combined with a Scientific approach obtained better learningachievement than those taught using Lecture method or Direct Learning. It provided anew alternative for the implementation of the learning curriculum in 2013 using the RolePlay combined with the Scientific Approach. In the process of learning, the teachers orlecturers were both greatly helped by the application of this method. That was becausethe learners were required to demonstrate their abilities individually in front of the classwhen learning activities took place.

Abstract

The main target of the obligatory rural social internships for university students’program (KKN-PPM) is to increase the gross enrollment rate (APK) of secondaryand higher education in Gondang village society, which can directly improve theHuman Development Index (HDI). In addition, KKN-PPM is projected to createsociety self-reliance, by optimizing the local potency of the village. KKN program forsociety empowerment is an option to raise the potency and overcome all the existingproblems in the Gondang village as well as strengthen the global commitment of theyear 2000, on the establishment of aims and targets of the Millennium DevelopmentAges or Millenneum Development Goals (MDGs). This community empowerment isestablished, guided and developed as a social institution in the form of friendship forums,advocacy, communication, education and, activity medium to strengthen integratedfamily functions that is established and carried out from, by and for their families andcommunities. Thus, the principle of transfering science and technology can be fulfilled.Because there is a flow of solution from the campus intellectuals, and as a consequence,three is a challenge flow from the society. Having KKN, for community service of civitasacademicians STKIP PGRI Pacitan, forms a response to the dynamic society that isalways closely correlated with the developing issues, needs and faced challenges.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa hendaknya selalu diterapkan pada setiap prosesbelajar mengajar. Pada setiap prosesnya, diperlukan kreativitas, keaktifan maupuninovasi oleh seorang guru agar hasil akhir dari suatu proses pembelajaran menuai hasilyang maksimal. Indikator keberhasilan suatu proses pembelajaran, salah satunya adalahhasil belajar siswa yang meningkat. Salah satu penerapan pembelajaran yang dapatmeningkatkan hasil belajar adalah penerapan Problem Based Learning dengan materipermasalahan sosial di sekitar lingkungan siswa. Problem Based Learning merupakansuatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang autentik dimana siswa diberikan masalah-masalahsosial yang ada dilingkunagan sehingga siswa membuat hubungan-hubungan yangdimilikinya dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untukmengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasilbelajar siswa kelas IV SDN Nglames 01 Kabupaten Madiun Jenis penelitian ini termasukpenelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis statistik signifikansiperbedaan pretest-posttest dengan Uji-t berpasangan untuk mengetahui signifikansipengaruh peningkatan hasil belajar antara pretest dengan posttest. Dari analisis statistikUji-t diperoleh hasil bahwa taraf signifikasi dengan sig (2 tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05,artinya ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan model Problem Based Learningterhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jadi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model ProblemBased Learning sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar pada materi masalah sosialsiswa kelas IV SDN Nglames 01 Kabupaten Madiun.

Abstract

Memutuskan sebuah keputusan merupakan salah satu peran yang harus dimiliki olehsetiap pemimpin. Penelitian ini membahas tentang kiprah kepemimpinan dalam programKuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN). Kepemimpinan yang maksud di sini berkaitan dengan modelpengambilan keputusan masing-masing kelompok peserta KKN. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui model-model pengambilan keputusan pada mahasiswa KKN TematikPosdaya STKIP Pacitan. Selain itu, bertujuan pula mengetahui kelemahan dan keunggulandari setiap model yang dimiliki oleh setiap kelompok KKN. Penelitian ini berjenispenelitian kualitatif. Subjeknya adalah mahasiswa peserta KKN Tematik PosdayaAngkatan ke-26 kelompok 11 dan kelompok 12 STKIP PGRI Pacitan. Pengumpulan datamenggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data deskriptifkualitatif model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi, reduksi data, penyajian data,serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagaiberikut; 1) model pengambilan keputusan oleh kelompok 11 berdasarkan pertimbanganalternatif yang paling kuat. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dialektika keilmuan Pondok PesantrenTremas dalam perspektif gender. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian lapangan(field research). Lokasi penelitian adalah Pondok Pesantren Tremas, yang berada diDesa Tremas, Kecamatan Arjosari, Kabupaten Pacitan. Teknik pengambilan subjekpada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakanmetode observasi, metode wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa dialektika keilmuan Pesantren Tremas dalam perspektif genderterlihat dalam: 1) Proses Ijab Qabul antara kiai dengan wali santri, 2) Sistem Pendidikandan Pengajaran, 3) Kajian dalam kitab-kitab kuning, 4) Wawasan sang kiai atas gender.Keempat aspek ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam pesantren ini terjadi dialektika yang kuat tentang gender. Tidak ada pembedaan dan pelemahan antara di salah satu pihak. Laki-laki tidak diunggulkan di atas perempuan, dan perempuan tidak lebih diistimewakan dari pada laki-laki. Semuanya mendapatkan porsi yang seimbang.

Abstract

One of the most important keys of the university advancement in Indonesia is thecompetitive grant research scheme. As one of that mentioned research scheme, thisresearch had been the second year to accomplish. The purpose of this Researchand Development (R&D) was to enhance the competence of students using themodule of scientific language philosophy. This research was carried out from 2016on Indonesian Literature and Language Education Study program in STKIP PGRIIndonesia Pacitan up to 2017. The research consisted of 12 meetings within 4 trialsusing the single one-shot case study experimental method. This method aimedat revealing the effect of the local wisdom-based scientific language philosophymodules toward language competence. The research findings showed that theresult of the first test compared to the second test was t12 = 2.77 ≤ t table 2,021 withinthe degrees of freedom 38 which meant that the language competence had beenincreased. Furthermore, the second test compared to the third test was t23 =2.88≤ ttable 2,021 within the degrees of freedom 38. Finally, the third test comparedto the fourth test result was t34 = 2.79 ≤ t table 2,021. Based on t test results, it canbe inferred that the module of scientific language philosophy based on the localwisdom is effective to increase the language competence.
