Sasambo: Jurnal Abdimas (Journal of Community Service) is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (LITPAM) that publish 4 issues per year in February, May, August, and November. This journal accepts and publishes scientific articles that are original and focused on community service. Manuscripts are written using an academic approach or scientific method by presenting data on the impact of community service activities that have been carried out. The theme written must have an impact or can be generalized to local, regional or national populations such as various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society, as a form of contribution to empowerment and sustainable development in the social and humanities, science and technology fields.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu mahasiswa Program Profesi Guru (PPG) Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram dalam mengubah hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menjadi artikel ilmiah berkualitas serta membekali mereka dengan strategi publikasi yang tepat. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 19 mahasiswa sebagai mitra utama dengan pendekatan praktik langsung dan pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI), khususnya ChatGPT. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi pelatihan penyusunan struktur artikel, strategi memilih target jurnal, dan praktik penggunaan AI dalam penulisan ilmiah. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test berupa angket skala Likert dan observasi langsung. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan membandingkan skor pre-test dan post-test yang diperoleh dari angket skala Likert serta didukung oleh hasil observasi selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kompetensi peserta dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 61,84 meningkat menjadi 91,44 pada post-test. Peningkatan tersebut mencerminkan perbaikan kemampuan peserta dalam memahami sistematika penulisan artikel ilmiah serta memanfaatkan ChatGPT sebagai alat bantu penulisan secara efisien. Kebaruan kegiatan ini terletak pada integrasi ChatGPT sebagai assistive tool dalam pendampingan penulisan artikel ilmiah berbasis PTK, yang masih jarang diterapkan secara sistematis dalam program PPG. Disarankan agar program serupa dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan, dengan fokus pada pendampingan penyuntingan naskah dan penguatan keterampilan penggunaan teknologi AI dalam penulisan ilmiah. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi bekal berharga bagi mahasiswa PPG dalam mengembangkan karier sebagai pendidik profesional. Transforming Classroom Action Research Results into Quality Articles and Publication Strategies for PPG Students This community service activity aims to assist students of the Teacher Professional Program (PPG) at Muhammadiyah University Mataram in transforming their Classroom Action Research (PTK) results into high-quality scientific articles and equipping them with appropriate publication strategies. This activity involved 19 students as key partners with a hands-on approach and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, specifically ChatGPT. The activity included training on article structure, strategies for selecting target journals, and the use of AI in scientific writing. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests in the form of Likert scale questionnaires and direct observation. The analysis results showed a significant increase in participants' competence, with an average pre-test score of 61.84 increasing to 91.44 on the post-test. All competency indicators, both in article structure development and AI utilization, showed a significant improvement. This activity proved to be effective in improving students' scientific writing skills and encouraging them to actively contribute to the world of education through publications. It is recommended that similar programs be implemented on an ongoing basis, with a focus on manuscript editing assistance and strengthening skills in the use of AI technology in scientific writing. This activity is expected to be valuable preparation for PPG students in developing their careers as professional educators.

Abstract

Transformasi digital di tingkat desa menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk mengatasi inefisiensi pelayanan administrasi manual, terutama bagi masyarakat dengan mobilitas tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan platform Sistem Informasi Desa (SIDESA) di Desa Mancagar, Kecamatan Lebakwangi, Kabupaten Kuningan, guna mendigitalisasi layanan administrasi kependudukan dan meningkatkan literasi digital perangkat desa serta Karang Taruna. Permasalahan utama mitra adalah lambatnya proses pengurusan surat keterangan bagi 30% penduduk berprofesi perantau, yang menempuh prosedur manual berhari-hari dengan biaya tinggi. Metode pelaksanaan bersifat partisipatif-edukatif melalui empat tahap: observasi dan koordinasi, seminar sosialisasi, workshop teknis berbasis Laravel, serta pendampingan intensif. Peserta kegiatan meliputi 15 orang aparat desa dan 21 orang pengurus Karang Taruna (total 36 responden). Evaluasi kelayakan sistem menggunakan System Usability Scale (SUS) menghasilkan skor rata-rata 74 yang tergolong kategori acceptable berdasarkan skala Bangor et al. (2009). Secara teknis, performa sistem mencapai skor 95 pada PageSpeed Insights (desktop). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa platform SIDESA berhasil dioperasikan sepenuhnya sesuai lingkup implementasi yang direncanakan, memangkas waktu pelayanan dokumen kependudukan (SKTM, SKU, dan Domisili) dari hitungan hari menjadi menit, meningkatkan kapasitas digital aparat desa, serta menciptakan transparansi tata kelola data. SIDESA berpotensi menjadi model Smart Village yang berkelanjutan dan dapat direplikasi oleh desa-desa lain. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada pencapaian SDG 9 (Industri, Inovasi, dan Infrastruktur), SDG 11 (Kota dan Permukiman Berkelanjutan), serta SDG 16 (Perdamaian, Keadilan, dan Kelembagaan yang Kuat). Implementation of SIDESA: A Solution for Digitalizing Administrative Services and Improving Digital Literacy in Mancagar Village Digital transformation at the village level has become an urgent necessity to address the inefficiency of manual administrative services, particularly for highly mobile communities. This community service activity aims to implement the Village Information System (SIDESA) platform in Mancagar Village, Lebakwangi District, Kuningan Regency, to digitalize administrative services and improve the digital literacy of village officials and the Youth Organization (Karang Taruna). The primary challenge faced by the partner was the slow process of processing official letters for approximately 30% of the population who work as migrant laborers, requiring days of manual procedures at considerable cost. The implementation method was participatory-educational, conducted in four stages: observation and coordination, socialization seminars, technical workshops on Laravel-based web management, and intensive mentoring. Participants consisted of 15 village officials and 21 Karang Taruna members (36 respondents in total). System usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an average score of 74, classified as acceptable according to Bangor et al. (2009). Technically, the system achieved a PageSpeed Insights score of 95 (desktop). The results indicate that the SIDESA platform was fully deployed within the planned implementation scope, reducing document processing time (SKTM, SKU, and Domicile letters) from days to minutes, enhancing the digital capacity of village officials, and promoting transparency in data governance. SIDESA demonstrates strong potential as a replicable Smart Village model for other villages. This activity contributes to the achievement of SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).

Abstract

Perajinan topi lontar merupakan salah satu potensi budaya lokal masyarakat Desa Santong, Kecamatan Terara, Lombok Timur, yang memiliki nilai identitas sekaligus peluang ekonomi kreatif. Namun, keberlanjutan kerajinan ini masih menghadapi kendala, terutama keterbatasan inovasi desain, kualitas produk yang belum seragam, dan rendahnya pemanfaatan media digital untuk pemasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pengrajin dalam mengembangkan kerajinan topi lontar agar lebih bernilai ekonomi dan tetap berakar pada budaya lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan melibatkan 15 peserta dari kelompok pengrajin dan masyarakat usia produktif. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif, edukatif, dan praktik langsung melalui tahapan identifikasi awal, sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, praktik pengembangan produk, pengenalan pemasaran digital, serta evaluasi. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan lembar evaluasi sederhana, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai nilai budaya, nilai ekonomi, inovasi desain, kualitas produk, dan pemasaran digital. Keterampilan peserta juga meningkat dalam pemilihan bahan, teknik anyaman, pembentukan pola, finishing, serta pengembangan variasi desain. Respon peserta terhadap kegiatan tergolong positif, ditandai dengan partisipasi aktif, keterbukaan terhadap inovasi, dan minat untuk melanjutkan pengembangan usaha kerajinan. Kegiatan ini direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan melalui pendampingan desain, pengemasan, kelembagaan, dan promosi digital secara berkelanjutan oleh mitra. Empowering Lontar Hat Artisans through Product Innovation and Digital Marketing in Santong Village, East Lombok Lontar hat craftsmanship is one of the local cultural potentials of Santong Village, Terara District, East Lombok, which holds both cultural identity value and creative economic potential. However, the sustainability of this craft still faces several challenges, particularly limited design innovation, inconsistent product quality, and the low use of digital media for marketing. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of artisans in developing lontar hat products so that they have higher economic value while remaining rooted in local culture. The activity was carried out over two days and involved 15 participants consisting of artisans and productive-age community members. The implementation method used participatory, educational, and hands-on practice approaches through several stages, namely initial identification, program socialization, technical training, product development practice, introduction to digital marketing, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and simple evaluation sheets, then analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of cultural value, economic value, design innovation, product quality, and digital marketing. Participants’ skills also improved in material selection, weaving techniques, pattern formation, finishing, and product design variation. Participants’ responses to the activity were positive, as reflected in their active participation, openness to innovation, and interest in continuing craft business development. This program is recommended to be continued through sustained mentoring in design, packaging, institutional strengthening, and digital promotion

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak yang luar biasa terhadap kehidupan sosial bermasyarakat utamanya di sektor ekonomi. Industri Ekonomi kreatif memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam roda perekonomian, oleh karena itu dibutuhkan upaya untuk mendukung ekonomi kreatif warga. Desa wisata anggrek Dadaprejo terkenal dengan tumbuhan anggreknya, umumnya bunga anggrek akan gugur dan menjadi limbah dalam beberapa minggu. Hal ini menjadi peluang agar bunga anggrek tetap dapat memiliki nilai ekonomis dengan dijadikan kerjainan tangan berupa resin anggrek. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih warga agar dapat memanfaatkan bunga anggrek sebelum menjadi limbah untuk dimanfaatkan menjadi produk kerajinan tangan yang dapat membantu perekonomian warga. Target dari kegiatan ini adalah pertama masyarakat di sekitar wisata anggrek dapat memanfaatkan sumber daya yang ada untuk dijadikan produk kerajinan kreatif untuk meningkatkan ekonomi serta dengan adanya kerajinan tangan tersebut dapat semakin mendukung wisata desa anggrek. Hasil kegiatan ini terdapat kelompok masyarakat yang berhasil menjadikan resin anggrek ini sebagai usaha yang berkelanjutan dengan penjualan di bulan pertama mencapai dua kali lipat modal awal. Selain itu pemahaman masyarakat tentang industry kreatif serta pengetahuan tentang pengolahan resin sebagai kerajinan tangan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman. Assistance in Processing Creative Orchid Resin Products as Handicrafts for the Dadaprejo Village Community, Batu City The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on social life, especially in the economic sector. The creative economy industry has a very large role in the economy; therefore, efforts are needed to support the citizens' creative economy. The Dadaprejo Orchid Tourism Village is famous for its orchid plants, mostly orchids fall and become waste within a few weeks. This is an opportunity so that orchids can still have economic value by being made into hands in the form of orchid resin. This activity aims to train residents to be able to use orchids before they become waste to be used as handicraft products that can help the local economy. The target of this activity is first that the community around orchid tourism can take advantage of existing resources to be used as creative craft products to improve the economy and with these handicrafts they can support orchid village tourism. As a result of this activity, there were community groups who succeeded in making this orchid resin a sustainable business with sales in the first month reaching double the initial capital. In addition, the public's understanding of the creative industry as well as about resin processing as a handicraft shows an increase in understanding.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dimaksudkan guna mengoptimalkan pencegahan anemia pada ibu hamil di UPTD Puskesmas Dolo Kabupaten Sigi Sulawesi Tengah. Metode yang dimanfaatkan yakni pendekatan edukatif promotif–preventif melalui penyuluhan, diskusi, dan demonstrasi mengenai anemia, konsumsi tablet tambah darah, serta pengolahan pangan lokal kaya zat besi. Sasaran kegiatan adalah ibu hamil yang dipilih melalui koordinasi dengan tenaga kesehatan dan kader. Melalui penggunaan pre-test dan post-test yang disertai observasi terhadap partisipasi peserta, kegiatan evaluasi dilaksanakan. Hasilnya memperoleh adanya peningkatan pemahaman, dimana seluruh peserta mencapai kategori pengetahuan baik setelah intervensi. Selain itu, terjadi perubahan perilaku terutama dalam kepatuhan konsumsi tablet tambah darah dan pemenuhan gizi. Meskipun terdapat keterbatasan waktu dan jumlah peserta, kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan kesadaran dan praktik pencegahan anemia. Diperlukan edukasi berkelanjutan dan dukungan masyarakat untuk mempertahankan hasil tersebut. Promotive–Preventive Education for Anemia Prevention among Pregnant Women at Dolo Public Health Center (UPTD Puskesmas Dolo), Sigi Regency  This community service program aimed to optimize anemia prevention among pregnant women at Dolo Public Health Center, Sigi Regency Central Sulawesi. The activity used a promotive–preventive educational approach through structured counseling sessions, including lectures, discussions, and demonstrations on anemia, iron supplementation, and local iron rich food processing. Participants were pregnant women selected through coordination with health workers and cadres. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test questionnaires and participatory observation. Results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge, with all participants reaching a good knowledge category after the intervention. The program also encouraged behavioral changes, particularly in adherence to iron tablet consumption and nutritional practices. Despite limitations such as time constraints and limited participant attendance, the program proved effective in enhancing awareness and preventive practices. Continuous education and community support are recommended to sustain anemia prevention efforts among pregnant women.
