Abstract

Transformation of Society 5.0 motivate education to move toward progressive direction. Islamic Education is expected to direct students to think critically, creatively, and adaptively in facing challenges of this era. This research’s purpose is to analyze the level of relevance of Tyler curriculum model with Islamic Religious Education and its need in the era of Society 5.0. this research used literature study method by analyzing related literature sources. The result of the research shows that Tyler model, which is based on philosophical and psychological principles, gives relevant work outlines for curriculum development in the society 5.0 era. This model emphasizes on the importance of education that is responsive to the public’s needs and directs students to own social sense, critical thinking skill, and high level of literacy. It is in line with Society 5.0 requirements oriented to technological integration, IT literacy, and society-based education. This research concludes that Tyler’s model can be an effective approach in developing Islamic Religious Education toward Society 5.0, by emphasizing on religious values strengthening, intellectual capacity, and technological skills in the process of education.

Abstract

This study examines how Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia can implement inclusive education to increase tolerance and prevent extremism, while still respecting Islamic values. Using a literature review method, this study analyzes various literature related to inclusivity in Islamic education. The results show that Islamic boarding schools have great potential as institutions that support the values ​​of tolerance, moderation, and cooperation, thus creating a peaceful learning environment. However, challenges such as resistance to curriculum reform and traditional views are also identified. This study concludes that by integrating inclusive practices, Islamic boarding schools can play an important role in building a harmonious society and preventing extreme ideologies. These findings provide strategic guidance for the development of an inclusive education model based on Islamic values, responding to local and global needs in the modern era.

Abstract

The spiritual aspect plays an important role in building social interaction in community groups. This paper aims to understand and analyze the social interaction of the people of Kendari city in the context of worship affecting the behavior of individuals and communities in social interaction. The data was collected from interviews, with a qualitative method of phenomenological approach. The mapping of individual or group behavior was confirmed to community groups as participants in this study. The results of the study demonstrate that the role of spirituality by exploring the meaning of worship led to a new concept that worship is able to raise spiritual values such as morality, unity, affection, and awareness that have implications for people's lives. This study offers Kendari City residents a fresh perspective on how these spiritual principles might serve as a guide in daily life. In line with that, this paper suggests the need for institutional involvement and all elements of society to solve the problem of religious understanding using a spiritual value approach rather than a bureaucratic one.

Abstract

This research explores innovations and challenges in the integration of Islamic religious education with the homeschooling model in Indonesia, focusing on Homeschooling KakSeto and Sekolah Murid Merdeka. Using a qualitative approach through case studies, this study involved six homeschooling families and collected data through observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires to 44 parents. The results of the study identified innovations in Islamic education such as the use of technology, active learning, and integrated curriculum development. Homeschooling offers curriculum flexibility, closer family relationships, and teaching religious values ​​that are more in line with family beliefs. However, there are challenges such as lack of child socialization, financial problems, concerns about homeschooling diploma, and difficulty finding the right curriculum. This study provides insight into the opportunities and barriers of homeschooling in Islamic education, and suggests the need for training and policy support for parents who choose homeschooling.

Abstract

Dalian na tolu, a typical Mandailing culture, teaches the values of affection (holong) and togetherness (domu) which play an important role in building the religious character of the younger generation. This research aims to understand how these values in the interaction of dalian na tolu build religious character through family and society. With a qualitative descriptive method, data is collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically. The results of the study show that the values of holong and domu are applied in social relations between mora, kahanggi, and anakboru through the example of parents and the community. These examples include respect for mora, affection for anakboru, and friendship with kahanggi, all of which support the building of religious character based on local culture.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the STEM-based Discovery Learning model on improving students' critical thinking skills in fraction material in the context of Islamic education. This kind of study is a mixed-method quantitative experiment with a sequential explanatory design. This study involved 4th grade students of SD Negeri 3 Karanggondang. The instruments used were tests and interviews. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the application of this model resulted in a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills, with a large effect on the aspects of concept analysis and evaluation. The implications of this study confirm that the STEM-based Discovery Learning model is not only effective in improving cognitive skills but is also in line with Islamic values ​​that encourage curiosity, problem solving, and critical reflection. The benefit of this study for elementary education, especially in Islamic education, is in the potential of this model to help shape the critical thinking skills needed to face modern challenges. This model offers an innovative approach that aligns with the Islamic curriculum, enabling students to connect scientific concepts with Islamic values ​​holistically.

Abstract

Education has an important role in building the socially caring character of students. The sense of belonging has a strategic role in developing it. This study aims to determine the influence of a sense of belonging on students' social concern character. The research subjects were 225 students, chosen randomly from two high schools in Kediri Regency and Malang Regency, East Java. Data were collected through the school climate scale and social concern scale. Analysis was conducted using simple regression techniques. The analysis shows that there is an influence of school climate on students' socially caring character (R = 413 p < 0.010). Sense of belonging is the most dominant indicator influencing students' social awareness (β=.201<.010). The results of this study suggest that building students' social awareness can be done by instilling a sense of belonging in students.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of religious moderation values ​​in the curriculum at MTs Al-Hasan, Proppo District. Observations showed that the implementation of religious moderation is less optimal, indicated by student intolerance, poor teacher understanding, and lack of activities that support moderation education. This study aims to understand how the values ​​of religious moderation are integrated into the curriculum to form moderate and inclusive mindsets in students. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving the head of the madrasah, teachers, and students. The findings showed that religious moderation is implemented through an integrated curriculum, using themes that link subjects in Islamic Religious Education, to encourage students to embrace diversity and uphold their religious principles. This study emphasizes the importance of curriculum design in forming students' attitudes that respect differences and promote tolerance.
