Abstract

This research uses a qualitative method with a field research approach, namely the researcher goes directly to conduct research on the object to get factual research data. This research discusses the Islamic education system within the family. The background of this research is that the family has a very important role in educating their children and the family is also the first Islamic education institution for their children, because children are longer with their families than with their teachers at school. The child's character will also be formed to be good or bad depending on how the family educates, especially the parents. Family is the most comfortable place for children. Starting from the family, everything develops. The ability to socialize, self-actualize, argue, to deviant behavior. So, Islamic education in the family environment is very important to apply in educating children. In educating children, parents can also enter children into private lessons so that children can absorb their education more broadly. In educating children, sometimes parents are more often misunderstood if their children have been enrolled in an educational institution, parents think that they have lost responsibility in providing education to children, all of which are charged to the institution. Whereas parents should also support children in their education, especially Islamic education. The purpose of this study is to understand the Islamic education system in the family environment, so that parents can apply this system to their children. The results of this study state that families, especially parents, play a very important role in the education of their children so that children can get a positive education so that good children are created. Parents can also entrust their children in private lessons so that the child can get more material that he does not get in his family education.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how social media affects the attitude of students of SMAN 1 Jatibarang towards religious tolerance. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that social media significantly influenced the attitude of students of SMAN 1 Jatibarang towards religious tolerance. Students' exposure to various knowledge and content about religious tolerance, as well as the ease of communication between people from different religious backgrounds, shows the good influence of social media. However, social media can also have a negative impact. For example, social media can spread hate speech and provocative information, which can trigger intolerance towards some religions.

Abstract

This paper analyzes freedom of learning in the Summerhill concept and freedom of thought in Islam through a qualitative comparative study. The purpose of this study is to analyze the similarities and differences between the two concepts of freedom in the context of education and thought. Summerhill, developed by A.S. Neill, offers complete freedom for students to choose subject matter and learning activities, with an emphasis on developing independent individuals through freedom of decision-making. In contrast, in Islam, freedom of thought is seen as a God-given right, yet still bound to moral and spiritual principles set out in divine revelation. This research utilizes a qualitative comparative study. The results of this study reveal that although freedom in Summerhill and freedom of thought in Islam have some similarities in terms of encouraging individual development, they differ in the way such freedom is regulated and applied. An understanding of these two concepts provides deeper insights into how freedom can be understood and applied in education to form independent and socially, morally and spiritually responsible individuals.

Abstract

This research examines the effectiveness of the demonstration method in  teaching ablution procedures to young children through the Smart House program in Malahayu Village. The demonstration method was chosen to provide clear visual examples to children, with the aim of improving their understanding and skills in performing ablution. This research shows that the use of the demonstration method can significantly improve children's ablution skills and make the learning process more interactive and interesting. This research uses the demonstration method in ablution learning sessions for early childhood. This program is carried out over four meetings in one week. Data was collected through direct observation and interviews with parents as well as observing the results of children's practice. The research results showed that children showed increased  understanding and skills in carrying out ablution after following the demonstration method. Observations also revealed that children more easily remember the steps for performing ablution and are more enthusiastic in practicing it. The demonstration method has proven to be effective in teaching the procedures for performing ablution to young children. The Smart Home Program in Malahayu Village has succeeded in improving children's skills and making learning more fun. It is recommended to continue using this method in future early childhood education programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih adanya siswa yang tidak dapat membaca Al-Qur'an dengan benar sesuai dengan kaidah tajwid. Padahal, usia mereka merupakan saat yang tepat untuk belajar Al-Qur'an dengan baik. Beberapa siswa masih kurang lancar dalam membaca Al-Qur'an dan belum memahami hukum bacaan sesuai buku tajwidnya. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, program pendampingan pengajaran Al-Qur'an dengan metode Iqro' diterapkan di TPQ Al Khair Desa Cipajang, Kecamatan Banjarharjo, Kabupaten Brebes. Tujuannya adalah agar siswa mencintai Al-Qur'an, meningkatkan semangat belajar, serta memahami cara pengucapan huruf hijaiyah sesuai dengan tajwid dan makhrojnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk menjelaskan penerapan metode Iqro' di TPQ Al Khair. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang sebelumnya tidak memahami tajwid dan makhroj kini dapat membaca Al-Qur'an dengan lebih baik dan benar. Pendampingan ini membantu siswa menguasai cara pengucapan abjad Arab sesuai dengan hukum bacaan dan kaidah tajwid yang tepat.

Abstract

This research examines innovation in the development of learning materials to enhance student activity at the Nurul Huda Madrasah diniyah, Banjarlor Village, Brebes Regency, using a qualitative approach with a case study design, research with observation, interviews, and documentation related to the implemented learning program. Results indicate that the integration of digital technology, project-based learning, and incorporation of local wisdom effectively increased student engagement, with active learning time rising from 60% to 85%. Implementation of innovations faced infrastructure challenges and resistance to change, but collaborative strategies with stakeholders and ongoing teacher training showed potential to overcome barriers. The study reveals that modernization of teaching methods in madrasah diniyah can be achieved without sacrificing Islamic values, paving the way for transforming madrasahs into centers of Islamic education innovation. Research implications include recommendations for developing integrated curricula and cross-sector partnerships in Islamic education innovation.

Abstract

The times require the younger generation to adapt, including in solving fiqh issues that continue to grow. The younger generation is expected to be able to play an active role as a successor to religious figures in society. This study aims to examine the implementation of local fiqh learning at MA Tanbihul Ghofilin, Bawang, Banjarnegara. The focus of the research includes the understanding of local fiqh, material sources, curriculum, learning process (preparation, implementation, evaluation), as well as the benefits for students. This research uses a field research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection methods used by researchers were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity method is through data tringulation which combines the results of interviews, observations, and or documentation. The data analysis method uses Miles and Hubermen's interactive analysis which is reviewed including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: 1) Local Fikih subject is fiqh learning that uses source material from the book of Fathul Qorib with the pesantren method (bandongan) and focuses on the application of fiqh law in everyday life. 2) The stages of local fiqh learning include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. 4) This learning is considered important because students are given a place to understand fiqh learning in depth, as a provision to answer fiqh problems in society that continue to grow.

Abstract

Finding out how projection media affects students' motivation to learn in Religious Education in Islam (PAI) classes at SMP Negeri 1 Tapa, Bone Bolango Regency, is the primary goal of this study.quantitative approach was employed using simple linear regression analysis. The research sample consisted of 68 eighth-grade students selected through probability sampling based on the Slovin formula. The study's questionnaire was developed using indicators of projector media usage and learning motivation. The results revealed a significant influence of projector media use on students’ gaining knowledge motivation, at a 0.000 significance level (p < 0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.312. This suggests that the use of projector media contributed 31.2% to the increase in students’ learning motivation. These findings support previous studies and theoretical perspectives suggesting that visual media, such as projectors, enhance students' attention, interest, and engagement during the learning process. Therefore, projector media is recommended as an effective instructional strategy help boost pupils' enthusiasm for learning, particularly in Religious Education in Islam.

Abstract

Type your abstract here (10 pt).  This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) prompted by the low learning outcomes of students in the Qur’an Hadith subject for Grade XI at MA Darul Amanah Bedono. The previous learning approach relied heavily on memorization, which led to students being less active, passive, and lacking deep engagement in the learning process. Initial data showed that only 2 out of 7 students (28.57%) met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), while the remaining students did not demonstrate adequate learning outcomes. To address this issue, classroom action was taken by implementing the Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) method combined with a peer tutoring strategy, aiming to foster active involvement and deeper understanding among students. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. In the first cycle, there was a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with 4 out of 7 students (57.14%) meeting the KKM, and the class average rising to 73.28. Learning activities also improved, with the teacher activity score reaching 3.0 and the student activity score 2.8. In the second cycle, technological innovation was introduced by integrating Chromebook-based media to support the PQ4R and peer tutoring activities. As a result, 6 students (85.71%) achieved the KKM, and the activity scores increased to 3.8 for teachers and 3.6 for students. Data collection methods included observation, formative tests, interviews, and documentation. Observation was used to assess classroom dynamics and student participation. Tests were used to measure students' cognitive achievement, interviews explored student responses to the applied methods, and documentation provided supporting data. The data were analyzed quantitatively to measure improvements in learning outcomes and qualitatively to evaluate the learning process and changes in student behavior. The findings indicate that the combination of the PQ4R method and peer tutoring, supported by technological media, effectively improved student learning outcomes in the Qur’an Hadith subject—both cognitively and participatively. This approach may serve as an innovative alternative instructional model to enhance the quality of Islamic education learning at the senior high school level.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah sering menghadapi tantangan rendahnya minat dan partisipasi siswa akibat metode konvensional yang bersifat pasif, sering dianggap membosankan karena metode yang monoton dan minim partisipasi siswa, berdampak pada rendahnya hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran Market Place yang dipadukan dengan media visual Canva guna meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX MTs Darul Amanah Bedono pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes evaluasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini mampu meningkatkan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan, dari 31% pada pra-siklus, naik menjadi 54% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 100% pada siklus II. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan peningkatan dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik, seperti keaktifan dalam diskusi, kemampuan menyampaikan ide melalui media visual, dan antusiasme mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Media Canva terbukti efektif mendukung penyajian materi secara kreatif dan menarik, memfasilitasi pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, metode Market Place yang dibantu Canva tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar, tetapi juga membentuk suasana pembelajaran yang interaktif, kolaboratif, dan menyenangkan. Strategi ini layak diterapkan secara lebih luas dalam pembelajaran SKI maupun mata pelajaran lainnya, khususnya yang bersifat abstrak atau historis, guna mendorong keterlibatan aktif dan pemahaman mendalam siswa.
