Abstract

The problem in this research is how to apply the KWL (Knowing, Wanting, Learning) strategy to the reading comprehension skills of fifth grade students at SDN Pacinonggang Unggulan, Gowa Regency. This research aims to determine the effect of the KWL Strategy (Knowing, Wanting, Learning) on ​​the reading comprehension skills of class V at the superior Pacciongang Elementary School, Gowa Regency. The type of research used is an experiment in the form of a design experiment using a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this research was 25 class V students at SDN Pacciongang Unggulan Gowa Regency. Data collection was carried out using the results of the written assessment results. The data obtained was then explained using statistical analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. After analyzing the data, the author found that student learning outcomes before using the outdoor learning learning method were relatively low, namely the average value of the Pretest results was 1,218, then the average value Posttest result is 1.984. After obtaining Tcount 10.5648 and Ttable 2.06390, we get tCount > tTable or 10, 5648 > 2.06390. Based on the results of tCount and tTable, it can be concluded that the use of the KWL (Know, Want, Learned) strategy on class students' reading comprehension ability V.

Abstract

The quality of early childhood education is fundamentally dependent on the competence of educators and educational staff, which necessitates continuous professional development programs. However, the implementation of sustainable training initiatives requires a structured and accountable financial management system to optimize resource allocation effectively. This study aims to analyze financial management practices in organizing training programs for early childhood educators and staff, identify factors influencing budgeting effectiveness for professional development, and formulate an integrative financial management model to support training program sustainability. Employing a qualitative approach with library research methodology, this study systematically collected and analyzed academic literature including accredited journals, textbooks, research reports, and policy documents published between 2020-2025. Content analysis was conducted through identification and selection of relevant sources, extraction of key information, thematic categorization, synthesis of findings, and in-depth interpretation of conceptual relationships between financial management and professional development. Findings reveal that institutions with transparent and accountable financial management systems demonstrate superior capacity in allocating budgets for regular training activities, positively impacting learning quality. Major challenges include limited understanding of School Revenue and Expenditure Budget planning, insufficient budgeting transparency, and weak financial accountability systems. Training programs on financial reporting and bookkeeping effectively enhance managerial competencies, while flexible online professional development workshops generate significant transformation in pedagogical creativity and practice quality. Strategic integration between structured financial management and continuous capacity building programs constitutes an essential prerequisite for holistic quality improvement in early childhood education. The study recommends that institutions allocate adequate and consistent budget proportions for educator training, implement technology-based bookkeeping systems, and develop innovative financing strategies through revenue diversification and entrepreneurial programs to overcome budget limitations.

Abstract

Educational administration, learning supervision, and teacher professionalism are crucial components in efforts to improve the quality of education. However, supervision practices in schools do not focus on developing teacher competencies. This creates a mismatch between the implementation of supervision and the ideal concept of supervision, which should be developmental, dialogical, and sustainable. This study aims to develop a more effective supervision model and to improve teacher professionalism. The method used is a descriptive-conceptual analysis of learning supervision practices, teacher needs, and modern supervision principles. The study results in the Pro-Guru (Continuous Professional Supervision of Teachers) model, which includes participatory planning, supervision implementation using a variety of techniques, data-based evaluation, and follow-up through training and professional mentoring. The implications of this model are the creation of a more humanistic and structured supervision process that can foster a culture of professionalism and innovative learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Green Science Learning model integrated with the local wisdom values of the Pancurawis Temple myth in developing environmental care attitudes among early childhood students. The research was conducted at TK Masyitoh Miftahul Huda Langkap, Bumiayu District, during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental group that utilized Green Science Learning oriented toward the Pancurawis Temple myth, and a control group that used conventional learning methods. The research instrument was an observation sheet measuring children's environmental care attitudes. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (t = 4.927, p < 0.05). The mean score of the children’s environmental care attitude in the experimental group was higher (M = 84.60) than that of the control group (M = 69.80), with an effect size of 2.03 (categorized as very large). These findings confirm that integrating local wisdom values into the Green Science Learning model is effective in fostering environmental care attitude from an early age.

Abstract

This study focused on the low reading literacy level of students at MI Tarbiyatul Banin and examined the impact of reading literacy programs and library visits on their learning outcomes. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the research involved 100 students from grades 1 to 6, who were divided into experimental and control groups through random sampling. Data were obtained from literacy ability tests and learning outcome assessments, then were analyzed using t-tests, homogeneity and normality tests, the gain index, and effect size. The findings show that reading literacy programs and library visits have a significantly positive effect on student learning outcomes. These activities not only improve students’ literacy and academic performance but also reflect the principles of humanistic and progressive educational philosophies, which view education as a process of shaping individuals who think critically, acquire meaningful knowledge, and act ethically.”

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok, which has influenced the communication patterns of Generation Z and given rise to various forms of abbreviations as a characteristic of digital slang. This phenomenon indicates a change in the form and function of language that is interesting to study linguistically. This study aims to describe the forms of abbreviations that appear in communicative interactions on both platforms and analyze the function of their use in the context of digital communication. The method used is descriptive qualitative because it is appropriate for describing linguistic phenomena naturally without data manipulation. The research data sources are speech, captions, comments, and short conversations from public Instagram and TikTok accounts that actively use slang. Data were selected purposively, considering their relevance to the research focus, namely forms of abbreviations such as abbreviations, acronyms, and syllable shortening. The analysis results show that Generation Z language is very productive in creating abbreviations that are concise, creative, and functional. Abbreviations function not only for communication efficiency but also as markers of group identity, forms of emotional expression, and tools to strengthen social closeness in the digital space. These findings confirm that abbreviation is a linguistic strategy that adapts to the needs of fast and flexible communication in the digital era. The implications of this research demonstrate the importance of understanding the dynamics of slang as part of linguistic change influenced by technology and contemporary popular culture.

Abstract

The Euthyphro Dilemma remains central to contemporary debates about the grounding of morality: are actions good because God commands them, or does God command them because they are good? This article reconstructs the main arguments in the dilemma, critically evaluates Divine Command Theory (DCT) and its variants (especially modified DCT) in comparison with non-theistic moral realism, and connects the debate to the need for public justification of norms in plural educational and cultural contexts. Using qualitative library research and philosophical–conceptual analysis (conceptual analysis, argument reconstruction, and critical normative appraisal), the study finds that strong DCT provides a straightforward account of the bindingness of obligation but faces the arbitrariness objection. Modified DCT mitigates arbitrariness by grounding commands in God’s good nature, yet it inherits challenges of circularity and limited public justificatory reach. The article proposes a layered justification model: theistic reasons may operate as internal motivational grounds for character formation, while institutional norms in education should also be supported by reasons accessible across diverse worldviews. This is aligned with Indonesia’s educational aims that combine faith/virtue and critical reasoning in the 8 dimensions of graduation profile.

Abstract

Preserving traditional culinary traditions is an important part of preserving local cultural heritage amidst the currents of globalization that influence the consumption patterns of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the role of traditional Halua cuisine in maintaining Malay cultural identity among Generation Z in Bukit Harapan Village. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review. The results indicate that Halua serves not only as a traditional food in community activities but also as a cultural symbol that enhances Generation Z's sense of pride and attachment to traditional values. Active participation by Gen Z through digital media and local cultural activities has proven to be a crucial strategy in preserving this cuisine. These findings suggest the need for an intergenerational approach and the integration of digital technology to ensure the sustainability of Halua preservation in the future.

Abstract

The success of managing private schools under the auspices of PGRI is highly dependent on harmonious synergy between the Yayasan Pembina Lembaga Pendidikan (YPLP) and the school units. This community service program aims to strengthen the managerial capacity of school principals and improve institutional administrative order through supervisory assistance in collaboration with YPLP PGRI of East Lampung Regency. The partners in this activity were schools within the YPLP PGRI East Lampung network that were identified as requiring intensive guidance.The implementation method employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, consisting of the following stages: (1) mapping the current condition of school quality; (2) conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) related to institutional regulations; (3) assisting in the preparation of managerial documents; and (4) conducting clinical supervision. The activities involved YPLP administrators, school principals, and teaching staff.The results of the program indicate: (1) an increased understanding among school principals of their main duties and functions as well as their working relationships with the foundation; (2) the development of well-organized and standardized school governance documents; and (3) the implementation of constructive managerial supervision, as evidenced by the submission of supervision outcome documents. The synergy among academics, foundations, and schools has proven effective in fostering a healthy and accountable organizational climate..

Abstract

The Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren Ramah Anak/PRA) policy is a strategic effort to create a safe, inclusive, and child rights-oriented environment in Islamic boarding schools. This article analyzes the Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding School policy from the perspective of Islamic Education Management and its relationship with child rights protection in religious educational institutions. The research uses a qualitative approach through literature study and policy analysis of regulations, Islamic education management literature, and previous studies. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques based on the functions of Islamic education management, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. The results of the study show that the Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding School policy is in line with the principles of Islamic Education Management, particularly the values of justice, trust, and benefit, but still faces implementation obstacles such as limited human resources, weak supervision, and resistance from the boarding school culture. This study confirms that the success of the Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding School policy depends on strengthening integrated and sustainable Islamic education management to ensure the protection of children's rights.
