Abstract

Paranoid schizophrenia has a better prognosis than other forms. The main sign of paranoid schizophrenia is having strong delusions or auditory hallucinations. This review article is prepared to study the patterns of antipsychotic treatment in schizophrenia patients. The literature sources include PubMed and Google Scholar over the past decade. The PICO screening procedure yielded 6 publications utilized as primary data. This review's findings suggest that the principal objective of antipsychotic treatment in people with schizophrenia is to attain remission swiftly and safely. Atypical antipsychotics are the primary treatment option for schizophrenia, specifically Risperidone, Aripiprazole, Olanzapine, Quetiapine, and Clozapine. The implementation of combination therapy is contingent upon the severity of schizophrenia symptoms. Using combinations of antipsychotics will lead to a wider range of receptor targets, which will make antipsychotics work better. In combination therapy, typical antipsychotics are utilized due to their swift alleviation of positive symptoms, including hallucinations and delusions. Paranoid schizophrenia for achieving early remission is capable of utilizing atypical monotherapy, combination of typical and atypical, combination of atypical and atypical antipsychotics in reaching remission with symptom assessments using PANSS and GAF.

Abstract

E. coli adalah bakteri Gram negatif yang menjadi faktor utama dalam patogenesis infeksi saluran kemih, infeksi luka diabetes dan infeksi luka pasca operasi karena menghasilkan biofilm. Biofilm merupakan matriks ektraseluler yang dibentuk bakteri dan tersusun dari polisakarida, protein dan DNA ekstraseluler. Pembentukan matriks ini merupakan salah satu penyebab resistensi bakteri pada pengobatan antibiotik karena dapat menghalangi difusi antibiotik atau antimikroba. Namun pembentukan biofilm dapat dikendalikan dengan senyawa antibakteri dibawah kadar hambat minimum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah  mengetahui potensi ekstrak etanol daun jeruk purut (Citrus hystrix D.C.) sebagai alternatif kombinasi pengobatan dalam menghambat pertumbuhan dan menghambat pembentukan awal struktur biofilm E.coli ATCC 25922. Daun jeruk purut diekstraksi melalui metode maserasi dengan etanol 96%(1:5). Metode microtiter plate assay digunakan dalam uji  aktivitas antibakteri dengan konsentrasi 3,125 – 50 mg/ml sedangkan uji aktivitas penghambatan biofilm dengan  konsentrasi 2,12– 34 mg/ml  dan pewarna biofilm kristal violet 1%. Skrining fitokimia ekstrak etanol daun jeruk purut mengonfirmasi adanya senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, tanin, dan saponin. Pengujian menunjukkan hasil Kadar Hambat Minimum 41,28 mg/ml dan Kadar Bunuh Minimum 50,25 mg/ml sedangkan konsentrasi ekstrak  34 mg/ml  menunjukkan penghambatan pembentukan biofilm tertinggi yaitu 92,98% dengan MBIC50 antibiofilm 8,64 mg/ml.
