Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) at SMP Negeri 2 Malang, particularly in the Science subject. The primary objective is to explore the extent to which the principles of the Independent Curriculum are applied in the school. Employing a qualitative approach, the research collected data through observations and interviews with teachers and students. The findings reveal that the learning approaches used in the school are student-centered, contextual, and project-based. Teachers act as facilitators, employing diverse methods such as discussions, experiments, and educational technology. Evaluation is conducted continuously by both teachers and students through reflective practices. Furthermore, the study shows that the Independent Curriculum enhances student engagement, character development, and personalized learning based on individual interests and needs. Overall, the findings suggest that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMP Negeri 2 Malang is effective and aligns with the fundamental principles established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of technology in supporting the school accreditation process at MTs Zainul Hasan Genggong. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method to gain a deeper understanding of technology use in educational quality management, particularly in the accreditation process. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal, administrative staff, teachers, and information technology managers at the school, as well as through direct observation of the technology implementation. The results of the study indicate that the application of digital technology in the accreditation process has a positive impact on improving the efficiency and transparency of accreditation data processing. Cloud-based systems enable faster data collection and facilitate monitoring, but there are challenges related to staff mastery of technology and infrastructure limitations, particularly unstable internet connections. Additionally, although technology provides significant benefits, reliance on digital systems raises concerns in the event of technical disruptions, which require contingency plans. The conclusion of this study is that while the application of technology in accreditation has a positive impact, challenges related to training and infrastructure need to be addressed to achieve more optimal results. This study provides recommendations for other schools to adopt technology in the accreditation process and improve the quality of education through digitalization.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly altered the interaction patterns and activities of Early Childhood. Children aged 3-6 years are now increasingly exposed to various forms of digital media, including content that potentially contains aggressive elements. This journal aims to analyze the influence of digital media exposure on the development of aggressive language in children aged 3-6 years.Through a literature review and psychosocial impact analysis, it was found that excessive exposure to aggressive digital media content—such as harsh words, threats, or verbal intimidation can lead to aggressive language use in children's social interactions. Therefore, this journal emphasizes the importance of strict parental supervision, early media literacy, and the creation of a positive communication environment for children to use digital media appropriately.

Abstract

Language development is an important aspect in children's growth and development, especially for children with special needs at an early age who require more intensive support. This study aims to explore the role and involvement of families in the process of language development of children with special needs. The methods used include interviews with parents and observations of daily activities. The results of the study indicate that family involvement, both in the form of daily verbal interactions, assistance in therapy, and the provision of a supportive environment, contributes significantly to improving children's language skills. Factors such as parental knowledge, frequency of interaction, and cooperation with professionals also influence the effectiveness of this involvement. These findings emphasize the importance of the role of families as active partners in early intervention for the language development of children with special needs.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the question and answer method in developing expressive language skills in early childhood. Expressive language skills are one of the important indicators in the development of children's communication which includes the ability to express thoughts, feelings, and desires through words. This study uses a literature study approach by reviewing various relevant scientific books and journals. The results of the study show that the question and answer method carried out in a structured and interactive manner can improve children's ability to express opinions, answer questions, and convey ideas verbally. This study concludes that the question and answer method can be an effective strategy in supporting the development of expressive language in early childhood if it is carried out consistently and in accordance with the child's developmental level.

Abstract

Language development is a crucial aspect of early childhood education, as it plays a central role in communication, self-expression, and cognitive formation. In the context of Indonesia's multilingual society, children are often exposed to more than one language from an early age, including their mother tongue, Indonesian, and foreign languages. This study employs a literature review method to explore the process of language development in multilingual settings. The findings reveal that multilingual children tend to develop greater cognitive flexibility, social awareness, and communicative adaptability. Language acquisition occurs through two main pathways: simultaneous and sequential bilingualism, and is influenced by the quality of interaction between the child and their environment. Concerns regarding delayed speech in multilingual children are not supported by evidence; in fact, they often exhibit stronger cognitive and linguistic abilities. The active involvement of parents and educators is essential in guiding children to ensure balanced language development that also supports their cultural identity.

Abstract

Human resource (HR) development is a key element in improving organizational competitiveness, especially through a structured career development approach. This study aims to examine the role of career development in HR development based on a systematic review of literature from various sectors. The method used is a systematic literature review with thematic analysis and qualitative synthesis of 15 scientific articles from various international databases such as ResearchGate, Elsevier, and Emerald Insight. The results of the study indicate that competency development, the role of information technology, inclusive organizational policies, and external factors such as government policies are determining factors in the effectiveness of career development. The findings also indicate a direct relationship between effective career development programs and increased employee performance and loyalty. However, this study also identified limitations such as a dominant focus on the formal sector and certain country contexts, as well as limited access to technology and training. Therefore, this study recommends the need for inclusive career development policies, increased access to technology, and further research in the informal sector and local contexts. This study is expected to be the basis for formulating adaptive career development strategies that have a direct impact on strengthening HR in various organizations

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of emotional leadership in educational decision-making and improving the quality of learning at MA Miftahul Ulum Banyuanyar Lor, Probolinggo Regency. This study was chosen by considering the socio-economic diversity of students that can affect the learning process at the madrasah. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, where data was collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, three educators, two students, and two parents of students. Observations were also conducted to directly see the emotional interactions that occur in the educational process. The results of the study indicate that the application of emotional leadership, based on the theory of emotional intelligence by Goleman and Salovey, has been shown to improve the quality of learning. Leaders who are able to manage emotions and show empathy succeed in creating an atmosphere that supports learning, motivates educators, and increases students' enthusiasm for learning. However, challenges related to students' socio-economic conditions that affect their emotional conditions remain an important concern in educational management. In conclusion, the emotional leadership that is applied has had a positive impact on the quality of education. Therefore, it is important to continue to develop emotional intelligence at the educational leadership level in order to improve the quality of learning at the madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze marketing mix strategies in increasing the number of new students in private Islamic educational institutions, with a case study at SMA Zainul Hasan Genggong, Probolinggo, East Java. The phenomenon of declining interest in private Islamic schools amid increasingly fierce competition among educational institutions is the background for the importance of this study. The research was conducted to determine how the four elements of the marketing mix—product, price, promotion, and place—are managed within the context of a boarding school-based institution, as well as the challenges and opportunities encountered in their implementation. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, with primary informants including the school principal, promotion staff, senior teachers, and parents. The research findings indicate that the product element has strengths in terms of Islamic curriculum and tahfidz programs, but it has not been packaged in a systematic promotional narrative. The price element is flexible but lacks transparency in its communication to the public. Promotional strategies still predominantly rely on conventional methods and have not fully leveraged social media or digital channels. Meanwhile, the distribution element does not provide adequate online information access, particularly for prospective students from outside the region. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the marketing mix strategy at SMA Zainul Hasan Genggong needs to be strengthened through a more open, technology-based, and participatory communication approach to enhance the appeal and competitiveness of private Islamic educational institutions in the digital era.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to analyze in depth the role of the learning committee in the decision-making process of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Darussalam Blokagung. This study uses a qualitative case study approach to analyze the role of the learning committee in the decision-making process of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Darussalam Blokagung. Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the school principal, committee members, teachers, and parents, as well as documentation of meetings and curriculum documents. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative approach based on the Miles and Huberman model (data reduction, presentation, and conclusion). Data validity was strengthened through triangulation of sources and techniques to obtain a comprehensive and contextual picture in line with the character of the boarding school. The results of this study indicate that the learning committee at SD Darussalam Blokagung plays a strategic role in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, namely as a mediator between the school and the community, an active participant in planning, and a reflective partner in curriculum evaluation. This role is not merely administrative but reflects genuine and contextual social involvement, particularly within the boarding school environment. Implications suggest that schools need to strengthen participatory partnerships with the committee to develop a relevant and inclusive curriculum. These findings also serve as a crucial foundation for enhancing the committee's capacity as a strategic agent in transformative educational management.
