Abstract

This study is based on a needs analysis of students, which revealed that most students experienced difficulties in understanding the material when relying solely on textbooks. They showed higher motivation to learn through engaging visual media, particularly in the "Aku dan Kebutuhanku" topic. This research aims to develop KPKPD (Student Needs Board Cards) as an instructional medium that is valid, practical, and potentially effective for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Pangkalan Baru. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the study were 35 students. Data collection instruments included needs analysis sheets, expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, and tests. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The results of media expert validation indicated a score of 71.11%, categorized as highly valid. Validation by two material experts yielded scores of 97% and 80%, both falling within the high validity range. The average percentage of the pretest and posttest results reached 80%, indicating a high level of validity. Teacher and student response questionnaires from both small and large group trials showed 100%, demonstrating that the media is highly valid and practical. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed, with pretest and posttest values of 0.281 and 0.116, respectively. Furthermore, the hypothesis test produced a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference before and after the implementation of the KPKPD (Student Needs Board Cards) media.

Abstract

The main issue underlying this study is the low learning outcomes of students in the topic of the Human Digestive System. The learning outcomes of students did not meet the minimum competency standard (KTTP) of 70. The researcher intended to analyze the effect of augmented reality media on the learning achievements of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 30 Pangkalpinang in the topic of the Human Digestive System. The approach used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design method of the nonequivalent control group design type. In this study, a saturated sampling technique was applied with class VA as the experimental group and class VB as the control group, totaling 55 students. The data collection process was conducted through tests, while data analysis included Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality testing, Levene's homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test. From the normality and homogeneity tests, it was concluded that the data distribution was normal and both variants were homogeneous. Meanwhile, the hypothesis test results obtained a Sig. value < 0.05, namely 0.030, meaning that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. This calculation shows that there is an impact of Augmented Reality on the learning achievement of fifth-grade students on the topic of the Human Digestive System at SD Negeri 30 Pangkalpinang.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ beginning reading skills. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of animated video-based word card media on the beginning reading skills of Grade I students at SD Negeri 12 Toboali. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method, using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of one class of 25 students selected through a saturated sampling technique. Students were given an oral test consisting of five questions as the data collection technique. Data were analyzed using the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) and hypothesis testing (Paired Sample t-test). The results of the normality test showed that the pretest data had a significance value of 0.105, which is greater than 0.05, and the posttest data had a value of 0.133, which is also greater than 0.05, indicating that the data were normally distributed. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (0.000 < 0.05), with posttest scores significantly higher than pretest scores. Therefore, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It means that using animated video-based word card media significantly affects the beginning reading skills of Grade I students at SD Negeri 12 Toboali.

Abstract

Students' inability to understand the concepts of Least Common Multiple (LCM) and Greatest Common Factor (GCF) is what spurred this study. It is still difficult for many students to understand factors, multiples, and derived word problems based on these two ideas. This challenge results from a dearth of interesting and distinctive instructional materials. This study aims to investigate the effects of the traditional number game congklak on the mathematical comprehension of fifth-grade pupils at SD Negeri 17 Sungaiselan. A True Experimental Design (TEST) Pretest-Posttest Only Control Design is the quantitative method used in this investigation. Twenty students from the experimental class and twenty from the control class participated in the study. Tests were used to gather data, which was subsequently examined. Using the independent sample t-test, homogeneity test, and Shapiro-Wilk test for normality, it was determined that the data were homogeneous and regularly distributed (p > 0.05). Because the t-test results showed a significant value of 0.007 < 0.05, the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Thus, pupils' mathematical understanding of the components of KPK and GCF is significantly improved by playing the traditional Congklak number game.

Abstract

The decline in Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) literacy results among primary school students has become a serious concern, as it indicates a weakness in fundamental reading comprehension skills. This study was prompted by a two-year consecutive decline in AKM literacy outcomes at SDN 58 Pangkalpinang. The aim of this research is to analyse the internal and external factors contributing to the decline in achievement. The method used is qualitative, employing interviews, literature reviews, and observations. Data were gathered from literature sources and interviews with teachers, the school principal, and students. The data analysis technique in this study consists of three stages: data reduction, systematic data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that internal factors include low reading interest, weak early literacy habits, and the impact of the pandemic on students' literacy development. External factors involve limited parental involvement, the lack of reading habits at home, and the suboptimal collaboration between school and family. This study recommends the importance of synergy among teachers, schools, and parents, as well as strengthening literacy strategies to improve students’ AKM outcomes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 14 Simpang Teritip in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. The underutilization of interactive learning resources, which frequently results in students becoming disinterested and less engaged, is one of the contributing factors. This study's goal was to ascertain the impact of PowerPoint-based interactive media assisted by iSpring Suite 10 on students’ learning outcomes. The study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. each with 20 students. The research instrument was a learning achievement test in the form of pretest and posttest, which through normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The data were normally distributed (Shapiro-Wilk Sig. > 0.05) and had homogeneous variance (Levene Test Sig. = 0.749). Hypothesis testing using Independent Samples T-Test was then carried out. The test results showed a t-count value of 6.143 with a two-tailed significance value (Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000. The mean of the experimental group and the control group learning results differ statistically significantly, as indicated by the significance value of 0.000, which is significantly less than alpha = 0.05. Thus, the Ha was accepted, concluding that theeuse of PowerPoint-based interactive media assisted by ispring Suite 10 Had a big impact on helping fourth-grade students learn better about energy topics. These results confirm the effectiveness of interactive media as a learning innovation in elementary schools.

Abstract

The poor learning results in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject, notably in the area of Plant Reproduction, served as the impetus for this research. The goal of this study was to assess the impact of the Course Review Horay (CRH) paradigm, supported by Question Card media, on the learning results of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 10 Toboali. Using a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest approach, this study made use of an experimental technique. The sample comprised 28 fourth graders at SD Negeri 10 Toboali, who were chosen using a saturated sampling method. The test, which consisted of five essay questions on plant reproduction, was used to gather data. The Shapiro–Wilk test for normality and the Paired Sample t-test for hypothesis testing were used to analyze the data. The average posttest score for the students was 87.50, according to the results. The Shapiro-Wilk normality test, which indicated that the data were normally distributed, gave pretest and posttest p-values of 0.088 and 0.103, respectively, both of which were greater than 0.05. The Paired Sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. It implies that H0 was turned down and Ha was approved. As a result, it may be inferred that the Course Review Horay (CRH) model, which was backed by Question Card media, greatly improved the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 10 Toboali.

Abstract

This research is conducted due to the low level of student learning outcomes. It shows that 82.05% of students have not reached the KKTP (Preparatory Competency Level). The learning process is still predominantly dominated by conventional instructional methods and limited variations of learning media, such as lectures, printed textbooks, and whiteboards. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by flipbook-based media on students’ conceptual understanding of the topic of states of matter and their changes among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 34 Pangkalpinang. This study employed a quantitative, pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of all fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 34 Pangkalpinang, totalling 39 students, and was selected using a total sampling technique. Data were analysed using the Shapiro–Wilk test for normality, followed by a paired-sample t-test. Based on the research findings, the normality test indicated that the pretest data had a significance value of 0.114 (> 0.05) and the posttest data had a significance value of 0.140 (> 0.05), indicating that both datasets were normally distributed. The results of the hypothesis testing using a paired-sample t-test revealed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with the posttest scores being significantly higher than the pretest scores. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. It can be concluded that the discovery learning model assisted by flipbook media has a significant effect on students’ conceptual understanding of the topic of states of matter and their changes among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 34 Pangkalpinang.

Abstract

This research addresses the observed difficulties students face in understanding the concept of phase changes in matter, as well as the limited use of digital media in instruction. Furthermore, Flipbook media has not previously been integrated into the learning process. The study aims to examine the effect of Flipbook media on grade IV students' conceptual understanding of states of matter and phase changes at SD Negeri 1 Airgegas. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Airgegas during the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, involving 21 grade IV students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected through testing, and analysis was performed using paired-samples T-tests and the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. The results showed an average pretest score of 46.81 and a posttest score of 66.19. The normality test values for the pretest (0.131 > 0.05) and posttest (0.134 > 0.05) indicated that the data were normally distributed. The hypothesis test produced a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.005, leading to the acceptance of Ha and rejection of Ho. These findings indicate that Flipbook media positively influences grade IV students' understanding of the concepts of substance, form, and phase changes at SD Negeri 1 Airgegas.
