Abstract

A traditional house or building that has its own identity in a certain area that is made into a place of residence by the smallest institution in a tribe or community group, namely the family. Different regions have different forms of the traditional house itself, it all depends on the culture and environmental conditions of the area of the house, all of which have their own characteristics. But now many traditional houses have been abandoned by the community and more have shifted to modern buildings. The transition from traditional houses to modern homes is not without reason, but because modern homes are more comfortable to live in than modern homes. The comfort of living in a traditional house will be very lacking for people who have physical deficiencies or disabilities. Disability is not only mentioned for people who have physical deficiencies but people who have intellectual, mental, and sensory deficiencies are also called people with disabilities. For people who have physical limitations or disabilities, they often have difficulty in carrying out activities due to the lack of disability-friendly facilities in their scope, especially at home.

Abstract

According to the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, it is stated that the creative economy or creative industry is an industry created from the main production sources, namely creativity and skills from individuals who can provide a job or increase welfare through the work and utilization of creative power and creativity. According to the Denpasar City Tourism Office, there are 68 creative communities in Denpasar with various fields of activity, but Denpasar City lacks facilities for these creative communities to show their creativity and exchange ideas. This problem prompted the author to create a facility that can accommodate the activities of the creative community in the city of Denpasar. This facility will be designed using a Biophilic Architecture approach. The author uses a biophilic approach to make visitors feel more productive, creative and healthy. According to Nelly Shafik Ramzy (2014) Biophilic architecture is an innovative approach that opens the way to a nature-based dialogue between architectural space and the set of human innate affiliations, where natural forms and patterns play the role of vocabulary and grammar of composition. In this approach, incorporating Nature into the built environment is not a luxury, but a sound economic investment in Health and productivity.

Abstract

Bungaya Village, is one of the cultural tourism villages because the village has its own uniqueness, and has seven tourism potentials, one of which is historical heritage, unique traditional activities and nature. However, as time goes by, most of the Bungaya Village Area is now untouched by development, which is one of the reasons for the lack of special attractions for tourists, such as dances, weaving and other cultural activities which tend to be rarely carried out. only performed at ceremonies in certain months and not supported by commercial facilities. From this, it results in a decrease in function as a cultural tourism village area which will have an impact on decreasing the number of tourists and causing a loss of existence compared to other cultural tourism villages such as Tenganan village. Therefore, the need to build an object that can maintain and improve this area by establishing an Art Center with an Eco-Cultural Approach arises from the natural potential of the Bungaya Village and the diversity of arts and culture which is a local identity and has been inherited from generation to generation. hereditary. By using the architectural theme of contextualism, you can present buildings that are able to pay attention to the surrounding conditions so that their existence can be harmonious and unified, so that the potential in the environment is not neglected.

Abstract

Pottery is a piece of ceramic made of clay. Objects from this pottery have many uses such as religious ceremony facilities, household items, and decorative objects. The interest of the younger generation to continue this business continues to decline. This study discusses the planning and design of an industrial center and pottery workshop located in Kapal village, Mengwi sub-district so that it can help preserve and introduce the pottery culture that has existed since the time of the ancestors, to be precise around 1,500 BC. Based on the existing problems, there are no training places regarding the development of pottery production, the unavailability of an exhibition space that can function to display the work of clay craftsmen so that the younger generation or tourists are interested in pottery crafts. for people who want to know and want to learn firsthand about pottery making so that pottery products can develop and have new innovations. This proposal is balanced with a strategy in the form of an architectural ecology approach. Through an architectural ecology approach, it is hoped that the building can provide harmony between nature and humans in a reciprocal relationship. The results showed that the existence of an industrial center and pottery workshop designed with an approach strategy that can help attract the interest of the younger generation and craftsmen can also give birth to a new innovation that is able to solve problems regarding the pottery industry in Kapal Village, Mengwi District with targeted facilities.

Abstract

The design of agricultural tourism support facilities in Denpasar-Bali aims to restore the historical value it has as an agrarian area which makes agriculture the pulse of life which includes economic, sociological, and cultural aspects of the Balinese people as farmers and pays attention to the role of agriculture as a very complex multifunction with rural ecosystems. in Bali. This design is also an effort to conserve agricultural land or subak in Bali and as an introduction to new tourism objects in Denpasar which tend to lead to urban tourism. It is unfortunate that Bali is an agricultural area, but the rice fields are getting depleted with the development of tourism and the influence of fulfilling city functions where the level of rice consumption is still high, causing the government to implement a solution to import rice. Through a tourism architectural approach as an effort to develop agriculture to the public, technological and environmental approaches in the development of modern agriculture, as well as traditional and cultural approaches that have high magical values and have been passed down from generation to generation in Bali.

Abstract

Elderly is where individuals over the age of 60 who generally experience a decline in some biological, psychological, and social functions. When an individual has reached old age, and their children have formed their own family, the elderly's responsibility to their children, and they return free as in the early days of their marriage. But by the time that freedom was gained, he had been in a phase with biological and psychological physical conditions that had regressed, as well as the loss of their children from home because they had formed a new family. The existence of the elderly is still often assumed negatively, where the elderly are considered a burden on the family. This arises because it looks from kasuistic towards the elderly whose lives have a dependency on others. The older a person ages, the more they need a place to shelter and get attention, especially from family. But in reality in the field many elderly who ended up abandoned by his family until entrusted in the elderly residence. In Indonesia itself, elderly housing has negative connotations because it is still associated with nursing homes where in fact there are many cases of nursing home facilities that are not habitable for the elderly and also their level of care. So that facilities that should be able to help the lives of the elderly even become a scary scourge.

Abstract

Gerokgak Dam has the potential to be developed into a tourist area based on the Buleleng Regency Perda which regulates the RTRW which is discussed in regulation No. 9 of 2013. The main function of the Gerokgak dam is to irrigate rice fields and plantations during the dry season. Over time, the tourism sector began to grow naturally. Gerokgak Dam has natural potential, cultivation, and water tourism. However, the land use pattern in the Gerokgak dam area does not yet have a zoning system so that there is no division of tourist activity zones that meet the requirements both in terms of architecture and security. This is related to efforts to reduce disaster risk in dam tourism areas. The purpose of this design is to design a tourist facility for the Gerokgak dam that meets the requirements in terms of comfort, safety, and architecture. This design uses an environmental approach with a design concept, namely the connectivity of nature and buildings, realized with the theme of eco-architecture. Data collection methods in the form of literature studies, field observations, interviews and data presentation methods, namely data compilation and classification. The results of the research are the segmentation of the area into several zones that consider the level of risk & area characteristics, namely: the supporting zone (green zone), and the main zone (built zone). The design design criteria include aspects of safety, security, comfort, and beauty, so that land use in the Gerokgak dam area takes into account these limiting factors.

Therefore, a facility that can be a solution to this problem is the Children Care Center facility which if it can accommodate all the needs of early childhood by including care services and pre-school education. With the existence of a Children Care Center public facility that involves children as the main actors, an appropriate architectural approach is needed in order to make the Children Care Center a facility that is responsive to all the needs of early childhood as the main users. The Behavioral Architecture approach is the appropriate approach for the Children Care Center facility, because by applying the Behavioral Architecture approach to this facility, it is hoped that the facility can meet the needs of early childhood for what facilities they need by knowing or studying habits, character, behavior, and patterns of early childhood activities.

Abstract

Denpasar City is the capital city of Bali Province, apart from being the capital city of Bali Province, it is also the center of various activities in Bali Province which resulted in the rate of population growth becoming uncontrollable. As a result of the uncontrolled growth rate of agricultural land, the impact of this growth rate is that agricultural land in Denpasar City is decreasing, the highest reduction of agricultural land is in South Denpasar Regency. Given the need for Agricultural Education Tours in Denpasar City to provide education about the importance of managing agricultural land as a source of food for daily life, this agricultural educational tour provides new knowledge for visitors about management from seedling to harvesting, besides that this educational tour aims to provide a sense of empathy for children, youth and adults about the importance of maintaining the remaining agricultural land and utilizing the existing land as a place of development both inside the house and around the house. This educational tourism location is located on Jalan Tukad Balian Renon using the basic concept of “sustainable energy” and the design theme of “eco-architecture”.
