Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital leadership on organizational culture and learning innovation at MA Unggulan Darul Ulum STEP-2. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires involving 133 respondents, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews with the school principal, teachers, and students. Data analysis techniques include reliability testing, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression to measure the relationship between digital leadership, organizational culture, and learning innovation. The quantitative analysis results indicate that digital leadership has a very weak correlation with organizational culture (r = -0.0205) and a low influence on learning innovation based on linear regression results (R² = 0.167). Interviews with the school principal and teachers revealed that the main challenges in implementing digital leadership include infrastructure limitations, teacher readiness, and resistance to change. The findings suggest that digital leadership needs to be supported by more structured strategies, such as teacher training, digital infrastructure enhancement, and strengthening a technology-based organizational culture. With the right approach, digital leadership can become a key factor in enhancing learning innovation in Islamic education. Digital leadership has been implemented at MA Unggulan Darul Ulum STEP-2, but it has not yet had a significant impact on organizational culture and learning innovation. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach is needed to improve the effectiveness of digital leadership in education.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between teachers’ professional development and teaching innovation in rural schools located in Ambon, Indonesia. The research aims to understand how structured training, peer collaboration, and reflective teaching practices influence the ability of rural educators to implement innovative strategies in their classrooms. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 12 teachers and 3 school principals from four rural schools in the region. Thematic analysis revealed that continuous professional development particularly in the areas of ICT integration, contextualized pedagogy, and curriculum adaptation has a significant impact on teachers’ creativity and willingness to innovate. The findings indicate that teachers who regularly engage in professional learning communities and receive consistent institutional support are more likely to experiment with student-centered learning models, problem-based learning, and culturally responsive teaching. This study highlights the importance of sustainable teacher development policies and tailored support systems to foster educational innovation in under-resourced areas.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) as a strategy to enhance critical thinking skills among elementary school students in Jombang, Indonesia. The research is grounded in the belief that traditional teaching methods often limit students' cognitive engagement and problem-solving abilities. Through a qualitative case study design, data were collected from classroom observations, teacher interviews, and student project assessments in two elementary schools that have integrated PjBL into their curriculum. The findings reveal that PjBL encourages students to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information in meaningful ways. Students demonstrated increased curiosity, collaboration, and the ability to formulate and defend their own ideas. Teachers reported improvements in classroom dynamics and student engagement, although challenges such as time constraints and the need for teacher training were noted. The study concludes that PjBL offers significant potential in developing critical thinking skills in young learners, especially when supported by appropriate instructional planning and professional development for educators. These results suggest that PjBL can serve as an effective pedagogical approach for primary education in Indonesia and similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of innovative learning models in developing critical thinking skills among young learners in elementary schools located in Ponorogo, Indonesia. In the context of 21st-century education, fostering critical thinking from an early age is essential to prepare students for complex and dynamic life challenges. Employing a qualitative case study approach, this research explores how models such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL), inquiry-based instruction, and collaborative learning contribute to enhancing students’ cognitive engagement, reasoning ability, and problem-solving skills. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, and documentation of student projects across four elementary schools. The findings reveal that innovative pedagogical approaches significantly increased student participation, encouraged reflective inquiry, and supported the development of independent thought. Teachers reported that learners became more confident in expressing their ideas, analyzing real-life problems, and working collaboratively with peers. Despite the positive outcomes, the study also identified challenges such as limited instructional time, lack of teacher training, and insufficient learning resources, particularly in rural settings. The research concludes that integrating innovative learning models into primary education can serve as a strategic pathway to foster critical thinking, provided that adequate support systems and teacher development programs are in place. These findings offer valuable insights for educators, school leaders, and policymakers seeking to improve educational quality and student competencies in Ponorogo and similar contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No. 108 regarding the reporting of operating segments at PT Mayora Indah Tbk and its subsidiaries for the period 2023–2024. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data analysis techniques that include a 10% test on segment revenue, profit/loss, and assets. The results of this test show that two main segments packaged processed foods and packaged processed beverages meet the 10% threshold and are therefore required to be reported as operating segments. Conversely, the financial services segment did not meet the reporting criteria due to its contribution being below the materiality threshold set in PSAK 108. These findings suggest that the implementation of PSAK 108 at PT Mayora Indah Tbk is generally good but not fully effective, particularly in terms of the disclosure of insignificant segments. Although the company has largely adhered to segment reporting requirements, it still faces challenges in providing full transparency regarding smaller segments that do not have a significant impact on overall financial performance. This study is expected to serve as a useful reference for companies and stakeholders in Indonesia, guiding them to improve compliance with segment financial reporting standards. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of accurately applying materiality thresholds and ensuring that segment disclosures align with actual business activities. By improving segment reporting practices, companies can achieve more transparent and accountable financial reporting, which will ultimately enhance the decision-making process for stakeholders and foster greater trust in the company’s financial management.

Abstract

Digital transformation in tolerance fiqh education is an urgent need amid the increasing phenomenon of religious intolerance and polarization in Indonesia, especially among students who live in a digital ecosystem full of biased and unverified religious information. This research aims to analyze the digital transformation model of tolerance fiqh education in higher education, as well as formulate a pedagogical approach that is relevant to the context of religious plurality and students' digital literacy needs. Using a qualitative research method with a literature study design, this study collects and analyzes primary and secondary sources in the form of classical and contemporary fiqh books, reputable international journals, national intolerance research reports, and studies on digital education. Data analysis was carried out through reduction techniques, thematic categorization, and hermeneutical interpretation to understand the conceptual relationship between digital transformation, religious moderation, and fiqh learning. The results of the study show that an effective model of tolerance fiqh education must be hybrid, combining face-to-face for book studies and legal discussions, as well as digital platforms for simulation of intolerance cases, virtual interreligious dialogue, and access to global literature. These findings confirm that the critical and ethical integration of technology can strengthen students' competence of tolerance, interfaith empathy, and religious digital literacy.

Abstract

The development of educational neuroscience has provided an increasingly comprehensive understanding of learning as the result of interactions among biological, emotional, social, and environmental factors. Nevertheless, the application of neuroscientific findings in instructional practices at the elementary school level continues to face various challenges. This study aims to bridge educational neuroscience and classroom practice by analyzing elementary school teachers' understanding and implementation of neuropedagogical principles. A mixed methods approach with an embedded design was employed, integrating quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire to identify trends in brain-based instructional practices, while qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews to explore teachers' pedagogical experiences and reflections. The findings indicate that teachers' instructional practices are largely aligned with principles of educational neuroscience, particularly in the management of emotional readiness, multisensory learning, and attention regulation. These results underscore that the primary challenge in implementing neuropedagogy lies not in teaching practices themselves, but in teachers' literacy in educational neuroscience. Strengthening teachers' conceptual understanding has a recognized potential to optimize existing practices, making them more systematic, reflective, and sustainable in supporting the cognitive, emotional, and social development of elementary school students.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in schools plays an important role in shaping students’ religious attitudes. However, in practice, IRE learning is still often focused on cognitive aspects and has not fully integrated the values of religious moderation. This condition may lead to an unbalanced understanding of religion and the emergence of intolerant attitudes among students. This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning based on religious moderation, students’ attitudes and understanding of religious moderation, and the role of IRE teachers in instilling religious moderation values at MTs Al Yakin Pungpungan. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects included Islamic Religious Education teachers and students of MTs Al Yakin Pungpungan. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Islamic Religious Education learning at MTs Al Yakin Pungpungan has integrated religious moderation values through communicative, dialogical, and contextual learning approaches. Students demonstrate tolerant, open-minded, and respectful attitudes in social interactions. Islamic Religious Education teachers play a central role as role models and facilitators in instilling religious moderation values. The implications of this study suggest that Islamic Religious Education learning based on religious moderation needs to be continuously developed to strengthen character education and foster moderate religious attitudes in schools.

Abstract

Academic communication ethics is one of the essential competencies that university students must possess in higher education environments. However, in practice, many students are still unable to use Indonesian politely and in accordance with academic conventions. This issue indicates that Indonesian language learning has not yet been fully optimized in shaping students’ academic communication ethics. This study aims to examine the role of Indonesian language learning in building students’ academic communication ethics at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of students and lecturers teaching the Indonesian language course. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Indonesian language learning plays a role in shaping students’ academic communication ethics through the habituation of formal, polite, and objective language use in academic activities. Students demonstrated positive development in both oral and written communication after participating in Indonesian language learning. The role of lecturers as facilitators and language role models also supported the formation of students’ academic communication ethics. The implications of this study suggest that Indonesian language learning needs to be continuously optimized as a means of developing academic communication ethics and strengthening academic culture in higher education.
