Abstract

The study is intended to examine the impact of implementing the cooperative learning model with the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) approach on the problem-solving skills of junior high school students in the Al-Qur’an Hadith subject. This research uses a quantitative approach with a population of all class VII students at Mts. Fatahillah Semarang. This research uses a non-equivalent control group design for its quasi-experimental design. Data collection was carried out using observation, written assessments, and documentation techniques. The analysis revealed that the mean N-gain score of the control group was 9.15, whereas the experimental group obtained a higher mean score of 19.12. The normality test results indicated that the experimental group’s pretest score had a significance value of 0.169 and the posttest score 0.443, both exceeding 0.05, which confirms that the data were normally distributed. Furthermore, the homogeneity test produced a significance value of 0.095, greater than 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) was accepted and the variances of the two groups were homogeneous. Subsequently, hypothesis testing using the independent samples t-test resulted in a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.020, which is below the 0.05 threshold. Therefore, it can be concluded that a statistically significant difference exists between the problem-solving skills of students in the experimental class and those in the control class in the Al-Qur’an Hadith subject.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the alignment between the role of classroom teachers as implementers of guidance and counseling services and the official guidelines for guidance and counseling services at SD N 3 Banjar Anyar. This research is a field study using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique employed is the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The subject of this research is the classroom teachers at SD N 3 Banjar Anyar. The results of the study indicate that the problems experienced by students vary across grade levels. In Grade I, students show a low ability to adjust to a new social environment. In Grade III, students experience difficulties in reading and writing, feel bored during learning, and exhibit disruptive behavior and a tendency to engage in fights in the classroom. In Grade VI, the problems include truancy, low learning motivation, and anxiety about facing the National Final Examination (UAN). The role of classroom teachers as implementers of guidance and counseling has not been carried out optimally in accordance with the established guidelines. This is due to limited knowledge of guidance and counseling implementation, the absence of specific training for teachers, and the lack of a well-planned and systematic guidance and counseling program developed by the school.

Abstract

The increasing use of smartphones among preschool children has raised concerns regarding habit formation and behavioral development. This study aimed to analyze the role of permissive parenting in shaping uncontrolled smartphone usage habits in preschool children. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Tunggur Kindergarten. The participants consisted of 5 parents and 5 children aged 5–6 years, supported by a teacher and a principal. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The findings revealed that parents tended to provide smartphone access without consistent supervision or clear time limits. As a result, children developed repetitive usage habits characterized by high frequency, prolonged duration, and signs of dependency. Children also showed emotional responses such as crying and resistance when smartphone use was restricted. This study concludes that permissive parenting contributes significantly to the formation of uncontrolled smartphone usage habits. Active parental involvement is therefore essential to establish boundaries and ensure appropriate smartphone use in early childhood.
