Abstract

In the rapid of global competition, human that has intelligence and creative skills are demanded. Therefore, students need to be prepared with high order thinking skills (HOTS). In the second language acquisition theory, there are input theory and output theory. Dictogloss is a technique that applies these two activities together, where input and output are applied continuously. This study aims to find out whether the application of the dictogloss technique in Japanese learning can increase the students’ high order thinking skills. This study implemented classroom action research which conducted in two cycles. This study revealed the following findings: (1) students’ high order thinking skills increased into 40% in second cycle, (2) students’ average grade increased into 83, (3) students’ completeness which higher than passing grade learning standard increased into 85%. Based on the results, in can be concluded that the application of blog-based dictogloss can increase the students’ HOTS in Japanese lesson.

Abstract

In Japanese not all words can be translated into Indonesian, especially a cultural word. Therefore, a translation strategy is needed to find a cultural equivalents. The purpose of this reserch is to know the social cultural and social organization and the translating strategies used in Natsume’s Bocchan novel. This is the descriptive qualitative reserch about content analysis. Based on the analysis of data, it is found seventy two cultural word that is (1) social culture is 25 data; and (2) organization cultural is 52 data. There are seven strategies used by translator, namely (1) twenty two words which translated using a loan word or loan word plus explanation; (2) twenty one words which translated paraphrase using a related word; (3) sixteen words which translated using cultural substitution; (4) ten words which translated using paraphrase using unrelated words; (5) four words which translated using a more general word; and (6) three words which translated using omission.

Abstract

There are many types of interjection in Japanese, one of which is a marker of the impression of surprise expressed differently depending on the conditions behind it. The purpose of this study is to examine the use of kandou no kandoushi marker of surprise impressions in the comic Detective Conan vol. 70 of Aoyama Gosho's works are seen from pragmatic reviews. This research uses descriptive method and literature study that is by describing a situation / actual phenomenon in daily life and by conducting a review of books relating to analysis. The results showed that there were seven kandou no kandoushi markers of surprise impressions contained in the detective conan comic vol.70. The Kandoushi include e ’, ee, a, nani, wa’, are, and ara. The conclusion of this study is that each of the no-kandoushi kandou has different functions and uses because the context behind them is also different. The various functions found in each kandoushi cannot replace the position of one kandoushi with another.

Abstract

PENERAPAN ATS SECARA DARING PADA MATA KULIAH BUNSHO HYOGEN Ni Luh Gede Meilantari Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar meilantari@unmas.ac.id ABSTRAK Sejak awal tahun 2020, terjadi pandemi yang bersifat global, yaitu Covid-19. Pandemi ini mengubah paradigma sosial di masyarakat. Di Indonesia sendiri, saat pertama kali ditemukan kasus Covid-19 pada bulan Maret 2020, pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan tentang pembatasan kegiatan masyarakat, termasuk kebijakan belajar dari rumah, secara onlineatau dalam jaringan (daring). Perubahan yang cepat dan mendadak ini mengakibatkan para pengajar dan pembelajar harus beradaptasi dengan pembelajaran daring. Perubahan dari pembelajaran konvensional ke pembelajaran daring juga memaksa pengajar harus kreatif serta inovatif dalam mengajar dan menyiapkan bahan ajar. Salah satu metode mengajar adalah Asesmen Teman Sejawat atau ATS. ATS atau teknik pengoreksian teman sejawat, menurut Kustati dan Suhardi (dalam Sholihah, 2018: 63) merupakan teknik kolaborasi yang membuat peserta didik lebih aktif dalam belajar menulis dengan melakukan kerjasama antar team untuk saling bertukar pikiran dan memberikan saran terhadap hasil tulisan mereka. Dengan beberapa kajian dan penelitian terdahulu, penelitian ini bermaksud mengetahui penerapan ATS di masa pandemi Covid-19 yang diterapkan secara daring (online) melalui google classroom pada kelas mengarang tingkat lanjutan (bunsho hyougen) di Program Studi Sastra Jepang Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. Penerapan teknik ATS melalui google classroom pada pembelajaran Bunsho Hyougen berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa. Ini dibuktikan dari nilai rata-rata mahasiswa. Saat tugas pertama (karangan hanya diperiksa dosen), rata-rata nilai adalah 86,61. Kemudian meningkat menjadi 87,91 dan 88,7 di tugas kedua dan ketiga (karangan diperiksa dosen dan rekan sejawat). Abstract

Expression in invitation modality in Japanese are appeared by what shown among verb "shiyou, shiyouka, and shinaika". Data used in Japanese is sentences in invitation form in novel which were analyzed based on the theory of modality. The result obtained, in invitation sentence structure characterized by the presence or absence of occurrence personal pronouns in Japanese as indicated by the adverb shiyou, shiyouka, and shinaika that be followed by the first person plural inclusive pronouns.

Abstract

This research is entitled "The Effectiveness of Japanese Language Vlog Media Against the Ability of Sentence Patterns in Sakubun Writing (Essays)". (Quantitative Approach in 3rd Semester Students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP UHAMKA Jakarta Academic Year 2019-2020). In this millennial era, everyone has the right to express his ideas through in various media. One of these media is a Japanese-language Vlog which contains learning in the field of Japanese Language Education, such as Jerome Polin with his channel named Nihon go Mantappu. There is also another channel called Belajar Bahasa Jepang, and WaGoMu. They all carry the theme of learning Japanese online. This research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of the use of Japanese Language Vlog Media on the Ability of Sentence Patterns in Sakubun Writing (Essays) for 3rd Semester students in the Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP UHAMKA. This research uses quasi-experimental methods. The sample and data source of this research were 20 students in 3rd Semester of Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP UHAMKA, while the data source was the result of student essays. Based on calculations using the SPSS program, from the results of pre-test are obtained a range or distance between the smallest value and the largest value of 38, a minimum value of 50, a maximum value of 88, an average value of 75, and from the Post-test results obtained a range or distance value between the smallest value and the largest value of 30, a minimum value of 65, a maximum value of 95, an average value of 80.4. Based on the SPSS calculation results obtained a sig value of 0.058> 0.005, this means reject H0 or accept H1 which means there is a difference between learning before using vlog media with learning after using vlog media. It can be said that Japanese Language Vlog Media is effective in improving sentence pattern abilities in Sakubun learning. The results of the Questionnaire stated that Japanese Language Vlog Media is very interesting, enthusiastic and can improve the ability of Japanese Sentence Patterns in Sakubun Writing (Essays)

Abstract

This research objective is to examine the results of CALLA model application in learning Choukai. The use of the model is expected to help learners maximize their learning proses and results. Subjects of this study are 28 students that divided into two groups which it consists of 14 students for each. The experimental group is treated by implementing CALLA model to improve listening comprehension for five weeks, whereas the control group is treated without any particular ways during class. The results showed that the CALLA group has gained 82.28 point's averages score, it is better than non-CALLA group that gained 71.92 point. The t-test result showed that there is a significant difference of students listening comprehension competence between CALLA group and non-CALLA group. The questionnaire result showed that students liked to use this model since it can help and facilitate them to comprehend the topic of listening text better. Furthermore, it helps them improving their motivation in learning Japanese.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the meaning of suffixes attached to kanji profession inJapanese which have different suffixes but the same meaning. Theories used in thisresearch are morphology and semantics. This research is a qualitative research. The datacollection technique used in this research is literature study. The data analysis techniqueused is the determining element. The data in this research are in the form of kanjiprofession which have the same meaning but different suffixes. Data collected in the formof kanji profession means doctors, teachers, writers and painters. The data source used isdictionary entitled Japanese dictionary by Pristian Wulanita (Team I-Smart University).The result of this research describes the different meaning of the data collected and 医師ishi is used in more formal situation than 医者isha. 医家ika is an ancient vocabularywhich shows that the profession of doctor is the hereditary from his family. 教 師 kyoushiis used not only for a teacher who teaches certain subjects in school, but also can used inother teaching contexts. 教員kyouin means a teacher who educates students at school. 作家sakka becomes more specific as a novelist and 作 者 sakusha is a writer of more generalworks of art such as manga, anime, picture books, drama scripts. 画 家 gaka has thespecific meaning of a painter, while 画師 eshi 絵師 eshi means an illustrator.

Abstract

Even though the meanings are similar, some mammals used in the proverb are different. In this research, I was surveyed in "Meikyo Kotowaza Seiku Tsukaikata Jiten" and "5555 Peribahasa Asli Indonesia", founded 115 Japanese proverbs on mammals and 364 Indonesian proverbs on mammals. This research, I surveyed mammal proverbs and found that mammals appearing in the prover have images in their respective countries. For example, in Japan, the image of a cat is "smartly wise" and "foolish", but in Indonesia it is an image of "being bothered with a dog" and "scared".Proverbs are thought to be practical through speech and greetings in Japanese classes, especially in conversation classes, so I hope that there will be continuing research on proverb teaching methods.

Abstract

In this paper, the author analyzes the meaning of Japanese idiom (kanyouku) which is formed from the word 'neko' but only focused on body parts. This research is motivated by the previous findings which states that Japanese has many idioms containing the word 'neko '(cat) at most compared to the language of any country. The purpose of this study is to determine the formation and meaning of idiom in order to avoid errors of use by Japanese language learners. The method used to analyze the idiom is descriptive qualitative by describing lexical and idiomatic meanings. The conclusion of this research is the Japanese idiom that uses the cat body part mostly present in the form of a metaphor that adapts the similarity of the animal's characteristic itself.
