Abstract

The deviation of character values ​​that often occurs in the digital era like today is making its users more apathetic and individualistic. Character education is education that prioritizes the essence and meaning of morals and ethics, so that it will be able to form good students' personalities. This study aims to analyze and explain the implementation of Character Education through extracurricular activities at SMKIT Abu Dzar. This study is qualitative and takes interview, observation and documentation data. The results of this study are that the implementation of the archery extracurricular program at SMKIT Abu Dzar is one of the extracurricular activities for students that aims to strengthen the character of students through structured activities. This archery program has succeeded in instilling character values ​​such as spirituality, discipline, hard work, independence, appreciation for achievement, and friendly/communicative attitudes. This character is reflected in the daily habits of students at school, which develop through repeated practice so that it becomes part of their lives and the instilled character values ​​have a positive impact on students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of educational policies at Pondok Pesantren Al-I'ttihad Pagerageung, Tasikmalaya, which seeks to balance the preservation of traditional Islamic education with the demands of modernization. Initially known for its traditional teaching methods such as sorogan and bandongan, Pesantren Al-I'ttihad has innovated by adopting a formal curriculum, utilizing information technology, and providing modern educational facilities. Additionally, the pesantren has introduced practical skill training, such as entrepreneurship and agriculture, to equip students with relevant expertise for the contemporary era. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through field studies, involving in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the modernization of education in this pesantren is a response to social change without losing the essence of Islamic tradition. The central role of the kyai as a leader in educational policymaking is crucial in bridging the traditional pesantren system with modern societal needs. Pesantren Al-I'ttihad has successfully maintained its contribution to the moral and intellectual development of the nation through a combination of tradition and innovation.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the growing crisis of morality and ecological awareness among students, which highlights the urgent need to integrate Islamic values into character education through a sustainable curriculum. The research aims to describe and analyse the implementation of an Islamic-based sustainable curriculum in shaping students’ character at SMAIT Asy-Syukriyyah. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving teachers, students, parents, and school administrators. The findings reveal that faith, when internalized through a transformative curriculum, becomes a driving force behind students’ concrete actions to protect the environment, making spirituality a core of character formation. The integrated curriculum based on Islamic values successfully bridges cognitive learning and meaningful, sustainable actions

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a modern technology has significantly facilitated the process of acquiring, managing, and disseminating knowledge, including within the context of Islamic education. However, such advancement also brings critical ethical, spiritual, and academic challenges. This article aims to explore the use of AI through the lens of Islamic scholarly ethics, referring specifically to Adabul ‘Alim wal Muta’allim, a classical work by Hadrotus Syaikh KH. Hasyim Asy’ari. Using a qualitative approach and library research method, the study investigates key concepts such as sincerity in learning, respect for teachers, the importance of scholarly transmission (sanad), and the moral responsibility of knowledge dissemination. The findings reveal that while AI offers practical benefits, it must be critically filtered using Islamic ethical standards. Unrestricted use of AI in education may lead to intellectual decay, plagiarism, and the erosion of spiritual integrity in the learning process. Therefore, students and educators must not solely rely on AI, but instead uphold Islamic values and scholarly etiquette. This article recommends positioning AI strictly as a supporting tool—never as a primary authority in religious or academic discourse. Proper guidance, verification, and ethical awareness are essential to ensure that the integration of AI contributes positively to Islamic education. In this way, AI can be harnessed to enhance educational quality while preserving the ethical and spiritual foundations that are central to the Islamic intellectual tradition

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of character education based on riyadhoh in the Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah Order (TQN) Suryalaya according to Abah Anom's view. The research method used is qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Observations were conducted to directly see the amaliyah riyadhoh applied at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School, while interviews were conducted with ikhwan akhwat or students, as well as figures who understand the teachings of Abah Anom. Documentation is used to collect data from various written sources, such as books, articles, and official documents of Islamic boarding schools. The results of the study indicate that riyadhoh-based character education at TQN Suryalaya includes spiritual training and special practices aimed at getting closer to Allah SWT, improving morals, and forming a strong personality. Riyadhoh taught by Abah Anom includes dhikr, khotaman, manaqiban, pilgrimage, fasting, qiyamullail, and various other forms of worship that are carried out consistently and carried out under the guidance of a mursyid. The implementation of this character education has a positive impact on the formation of the character of students, such as increasing patience, honesty, discipline, and responsibility. From the results of observations and interviews, character education through riyadhoh amaliyah activities has been applied well and in accordance with applicable regulations, although there are several obstacles for brothers and sisters who still deviate in their behavior, but can be minimized so that the morals of students have seen an increase after participating in riyadhoh activities, namely in terms of behaviour, words and deeds. This study provides results that riyadhoh in TQN Suryalaya in Abah Anom's perspective is not only a spiritual practice, but also an effective method in character education that is able to shape ikhwan akhwat into individuals with noble morals and strong personalities.

Abstract

The nature of humans and animals was created to pair for the sake of progeny. Humans, with their intellect and thinking ability, are responsible for managing this aspect wisely. The essence of marriage is the presence of a child who becomes a qurrota a'yun, a soothsayer, and a valuable treasure for parents. Children are also a field of charity that can pray for parents in the grave. Parents hope that their children will be able to memorize the Qur'an, be filial, and intelligent. However, not all children meet these expectations, despite educational efforts. Many children grow up with morals that are far from spiritual values, so parents' expectations are not met. Based on research, there are various problems that can cause abnormalities in children, one of which is related to the way parents have sex. Islam regulates all aspects of life, including marriage and intercourse, in detail. One solution is to explore the Book of Fathul Izar by K.H Abdullah Fauzi, which discusses marriage with Focus on intercourse, including timing, ordinances, ethics, and related prayers. This research aims to understand the concept and benefits of premarital-sex education in Islam, as well as its explanation in Fathul Izar. The method used is qualitative descriptive, through literature studies, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that premarital sex education aims to prepare couples for a harmonious family according to religious teachings. It also includes knowledge of reproductive health and risk avoidance related to sexual activity. This education helps to understand not only sexuality and husband-wife relationships, but also couple psychology. Therefore, it is recommended that adolescents avoid sex outside of marriage and brides-to-be follow premarital sex education guidance. With a good education, future generations are expected to build families that are full of affection and mutual respect.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of literacy activities using the Akhlakul Lil Banin text to enhance the noble character (akhlakul karimah) of students at SMP Islam Serba Bakti Suryalaya. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. This approach helps the researcher gain an in-depth understanding of the literacy program's implementation. Based on the findings, the Akhlakul Lil Banin literacy activities have proven effective in improving students' noble character. This is reflected in behavioral changes, with students displaying greater adherence to school rules, behaving well, and showing respect both at school, home, and in the community. The literacy program is conducted systematically, encompassing the stages of planning, execution, and evaluation. It involves several important stages: the habituation stage, the development stage, and the learning stage. The teaching methods applied include the bandongan method, lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and demonstrations. The materials taught cover ethics towards Allah SWT, fellow humans, and the environment. Additionally, this program helps students practice reading and writing in Arabic and develop critical thinking skills in evaluating the information they receive. Therefore, this literacy activity not only plays a role in religious education but also in shaping noble character in students, positively impacting their daily lives.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the last few decades has brought significant changes to various fields, one of which is in the field of education. Education in the era of Technology 5.0 faces challenges in integrating increasingly advanced technology into learning, so educators must develop technology-based learning processes, such as developing learning models that are in accordance with the times, but educators at MAN 3 Tasikmalaya have not implemented a special learning model in the market place activity learning model assisted by the Canva application. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the market place activity learning model assisted by the Canva application and to determine the difference in increasing student learning motivation in the experimental class and the control class in the subject of aqidah akhlak in class XI MAN 3 Tasikmalaya. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Quasi Experimental method (quasi-experiment) involving two sample groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. This research design uses a pretest and posttest in each group to be studied. The results of the study and data analysis showed that the learning motivation of students in the experimental class and the control class before being given treatment was in the moderate category and after being given treatment, the experimental class' learning motivation increased, namely in the very high category, while the learning motivation of students in the control class was in the high category. There is a significant difference in the increase in students' learning motivation between learning using the market place activity learning model assisted by the Canva application and learning using conventional learning. The application of the market place activity learning model assisted by the Canva application is in the fairly effective category in the subject of aqidah akhlak towards increasing student motivation in class XI MAN 3 Tasikmalaya. It can be concluded that the market place activity learning model assisted by the Canva application is quite effective in increasing student learning motivation and there is a difference in increasing student learning motivation between the experimental class and the control class. For further research, researchers must be more careful in making questions that are in accordance with the predetermined indicators and in recapitulating values ​​according to the assessment rubric.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the learning outcomes of the Qur'an Hadith between students who study and do not study the Qur'an at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Wustha (MDTW). This study focuses on the differences in learning outcomes in the Qur'an Hadith subject at school between the two groups of students. The research method used is a comparative research method through a quantitative approach with a population of 502 people. The sample in this study were 47 students in grades VII F and VII G, the sampling was obtained using a purposive random sampling technique. Data collection techniques and research instruments used were observation, documentation, and interviews. Based on the results of data processing, it was obtained that students who attended education at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Wustha (MDTW) at MTs Negeri 3 Ciamis had better learning outcomes in the Qur'an Hadith subject compared to those who did not attend education at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Wustha (MDTW). Students who study the Quran at MDTW obtained an average score of 91.48, included in the very good category, while students who did not study the Quran at MDTW obtained an average score of 88.36, included in the good category. The t-test analysis showed that the calculated t value of 2.1 was greater than the t table of 2.015 at a significance level of 5%, so the alternative hypothesis was accepted. This indicates that education at MDTW significantly contributes to better learning outcomes in the Qur'an Hadith subject. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the understanding of the influence of the activity of studying the Quran at MDTW on the learning outcomes of the Quran Hadith and provide insight into improving the learning process of the Quran Hadith subject in schools.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are Islamic educational institutions that have grown and developed rapidly until now, but in the development phase, the condition of Islamic boarding schools is not far behind other general educational institutions. Even in the past, graduates from Islamic boarding schools were considered to have non-modern thinking and only knew Islamic education. Therefore, Islamic boarding schools are currently oriented towards developing life skills in order to transform their knowledge with the development of the times. Efforts to develop life skills in Islamic boarding schools to lead to the production of potential students require a mature development strategy, so that the output of Islamic boarding schools can be relied on and at least be able to recognize further the patterns developed in transforming any scientific modules in order to produce and empower abilities. In particular, traditional religious studies at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School develop the life skills of students through muhadharah activities to train public speaking skills in order to optimize individual potential. This study aims to identify strategies for developing students' life skills through muhadharah and evaluate the results of these strategies. The methodology used is qualitative descriptive research, with data collection through observation, documentation, and interviews with the head of the pengajian, muhadharah instructor, santri council administrators, and santri. The results of the study indicate that the strategy of developing life skills through muhadharah is quite successful and effective, indicated by the increase in the motivation of the santri. This activity includes good planning, namely by providing training, guidance, motivation, and awards. The results obtained include personal, social, academic and vocational skills. It can be suggested for further researchers to further investigate the strategy of developing santri's life skills through muhadhoroh activities at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School.
